Where to put cash register Cecil Lee Cecil Lee cecil@geomancy.net Dear Anon (Hidden for Privacy),

Under the shapes and form, it is better to place the cashier on one side of the wall (rather then the centre).

Here one reason is that there is `backing' or the cashier is supported.

However, in my opinion, it also depends on the type of business.

For example, in a supermarket, it is still acceptable to have it placed at the `entrance' or a large frontage. If so, do remember to surround the counter e.g. like an island and not let one side become "exposed".

Warmest Regards,
Cecil

Where to put cash register Harimin Ginoto harimin mgr@centrin.net.id Dear Anon (Hidden for Privacy),

I am opening a business center like Mailboxes, etc. and want to put the cashier right in the middle of the store facing entrance door; about 5-6 meters from entrance door(glass swinging doors - not mirror). We make 360 round counter and put 2 cash registers facing right (north) and left (south). The counter is also right in the middle of 4 symmetrical pillars (building foundation) that I cannot remove. I was told that placing cash register directly toward the main entrance is not good for cash flow. Please advise. Thanks.
