So long as it is not directly below you, it is not a `threat'.

Currently, the best cure for a overhead (concrete) beam is to use `wood element'.

The traditional cure is to use two bamboo flutes to form a `Ba Gua' shape e.g.

----------- overhead CONCRETE beam
/ \
/ \ <--Two Bamboo flutes

Two bamboo flutes are placed on one side of the overhead beam. Here wood is used to destroy "earth" or concrete.

Normally two flutes is used. But if one has a phoenix and dragon flute, then the dragon flute is placed on the EAST side or right side while the phoenix flute is placed on the WEST side.

If the overhead beam is made of wood, then the cure is either:

6 coins (representing big metal) to destroy it. Alternatively, one may cut out a pattern of stars or use 6 stars and stick it on to the wooden beam. But 6 coins is the preferred method.

More importantly, Shapes and Form of the exterior and interior of the house is the primary concern.

`Personal development' is too general a theory to be used. The Ba Gua thoery is better choice. But it usually applies to locations where one spents time (first) and second (lesser priority): facing direction.

Here, it is much better to apply Shapes and Form techiques first.

Where possible, the table should lean against e.g. a wall for support; the table should not face a door directly.

And if you can, when you sit, your back should not face a door or `caught' off guard e.g. a window. Where possible the chair should be supported behind with a wall.

You should be able to notice who comes into the room and `look' out of the window.

Only after considering the above, then you try to consider other factors. It would be good if it is one of the good intangible force directions. Plus, if one uses the Flying Star, it would be better if it is an auspicious sector under it.

Alternatively, if it is not a good sector under Flying Star, one should neutralise any imbalance caused at the sector especially if it is the sickness or misfortune sector.

Warmest Regards,
Cecil

Office dilema Stuart Murphy stuartm stuart@ttmarketing.co.uk A bit of a challenge for a newie to feng shui!

Setting up a business from home, my pa kua.. number is 8 and the office is situated in the south east of the house. a poison arrow exists in the form of an overhead beam that is situated in the south sector of the house (as the office is in both south and southeast sectors, however, primarily in the southeast).

The door faces North and my favourable facing position is the North East (being Number 8)for personal development but according to the Pau Kua theory I should be facing the South West in order to enhance wealth.

This South west facing position would mean that my back is to the door..... what should I do? Is it better to face the North/North East which is also favourable and enhances 'peace' or is it better to sit with my back to the door and window and face south west?

I really need to know the answer to this question as it is of great importance to me.

Any tips please.

Thanks!

PS also there is a marine saltwater fish tank downstairs also in the South East sector of the house!

PPS .. the business is a marketing consultancy
