Perhaps, it is best to clarify your statement. As Tai Sui or Grand Duke usually refers to the situation, where planet Jupiter has the greatest magnetic field and for this year, the Grand Duke (Tai Sui) is located at North sector). Thus, it would not be good to especially do renovations, at this sector. And other things. Thus Tai Sui / Grand Duke is not an object that you can purchase and place it in the home.

Dear Yuki, Chinese Astrology 1. This issue may not be directly related to your problem. But let me highlight for interest:- 2. The closest to understanding our "characters " or "traits" is sometimes through `auto-suggestion". 3. Another area, is in the field of Chinese astrology. 4. Sometimes when one reads too much of their `Astrology' characteristics, we tend to `play the part'. For example, when we are `told' that we are a Tiger, and a tiger person has certain characteristics, some of us, may use such auto-suggestion. 5. Your problem with inter-racial relationships is akin to this. Once you can break `auto-suggestion' that inter-racial relations, cannot happen to my f…

Dear Anon, 1. The `concern' here is not a poision arrow i.e. sharp corners aimed at your living room window, but rather the garbage dumpster. 2. It depends on the lighting filtering from the living room. One can either use `opaque' film or use curtains or if the smell is foul, close some of the windows. 3. A Ba gua mirror is meant for a. Some FS practitioners with religious inclinations may advise using it to protect against evil. b. While some FS practitiioners, advise the use of it to deflect Sha Qi or poison arrow. If you an see, your living room window or exterior does not `qualify' for either 3a. or 3b. Therefore, my advise is under Para 2. (unless, there is indeed a…

Dear Anon, 1. It is best to simply cover the big statue (if you can) rather than building a podium. 2. A simple solution is to use any clean bedsheet to cover it from top to bottom. 3. It is good to have a clean and bright room. If your room has a window, it is best to allow as much natural light into the house. 4. Usually, by moving in, for a few days, the vibes of the old tenants should be cleared. Unless, there are very old antique furnitures. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Frankly, there is no "Encyclopedia Britannica" for such situations. And there are so many varying opinions. For example, even during the Chinese 7th month; some have booked a house or a car during that month. While others are fearful to do so.

Dear Anon, So long as the unit is not directly facing the frontage or the main entrance area of the Hindu temple; it is acceptable for the unit. For the two bedrooms; the test of whether there is sha qi or not is to stand at each of the bedroom windows. If the antenane seems to slice thru the window, then this is considered as a sha qi or poison arrow. Often there are two cures to this: 1. Reflective tinted glass Tinted glass or reflection from the glass is acceptable, here. 2. Day curtains or blinds Alternatively, one cou…

Dear Buck Seng, Please refer to this url to help you more accurately determine the direction of the main door. URL : http://www.geomancy.net/fs/cecilcompass.htm As for the direction, there is a range which the angle should fall under. Under the generating a Flying Star Report at http://www.Geomancy-Online.Com, there is a template like version of a compass, denoting the range of each angle. Alternatively, there is this url with a description of what you need and the break down of the angle:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/on/f-need.htm Warmest Regards Robert Lee

For this message, I will discuss on the Magnolia and the Peach as these two are more significant than the remaining flowers. I have touched on Peony in detail in one of the recent messages. If you have not read it, you can always use this forum's SEARCH feature and type in e.g. Peony to find out the specific reply on it. 1. The Peach or "Tao" This is one of the most important tree or fruit in Chinese culture. The Peach signifies Longeivty. In a famous Ming novel called : Journey to the West, the monkey SUN broke into the palace garden of the Kun Lun Mountains where this tree stood. He ate most of the peach fruit. In recent practises, some Chinese place the peach outside…

These are some considerations:- 1. Using the Search feature on the TOP left frame of this forum; searching for a term " bedroom above garage "; reproduced are some sample links: http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=20373&new= http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=10788&new= http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=2000&new= http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=22243&new= 2. The above is based purely on Commonsense and many Feng Shui concepts are linked to commonsense. 3. If you are doing D.I.Y. Feng Shui; then you may have …

Dear Anon, This area has more to do with beliefs by some people or from advise provided by practitioners. The rationale for some people who do not view roosters is that: Roosters seems `picky' or combative. Quite often some get hold of two roosters to fight and wager on bets. And some consider the characteristics of roosters as `sharp' tongued. Thus, due to this symbolism, roosters (symbols) are considered not favourable in the home. As I mentioned, this area has more to do with beliefs than Feng Shui. Personally, I find placing a rooster figurine no harm. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Ber, Please read below:- Most likely, there is an inauspicious star number 4 somewhere in your bedroom or rooms which you are consist together. Or maybe you have some element which does not suit the both of you. However, without more details it is pretty difficult to access what's wrong. The only way I can suggest now is that check out the compatibility with the two of you, and see what is the suggested element that should bind the two of you. Try to have those element in places where you are always together. Normally, these should be ok, unless there are bad stars in that area which we are not aware of. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Michelle, 1. It is very common for the type of development you had mentioned not to have a costly basement. In fact, majority of such apartments both in Telok Kurau and many locations in Singapore. 2. The major concern with having a car park right below any apartment unit are: 2.1 Although a fire breaking out i.e. a car on fire is rare, but should a car or van burst into flames, the logic is that fire rises upwards. 2.2 Some Feng Shui practitioners don't like homes that are not "grounded" on the ground.. Such homes are considered as sitting on "stilts" or not on firm ground. Thus for example, homes above a shopping complex or above a carpark to these Feng Shui pr…

Dear Bradley Hope, Bradley Hope wrote: Can some one please explain the Flying Star chart to me. Flying Star is the use of numerology to assess the luck of the house. It is made up of numbers 1 to 9. Depending on how the number interacts with each other, you get different analysis or interpretations. Each sector is usually made up of 3 basic numbers (ie. 8-4-3). Where 8 is the mountain star, 4 is the base star, 3 is the water star.Together it will allow a practitioner to understand and assess the Qi of the house. Dear Anon, 1. The reason why some FS Practitioners say to palce it in the good sector is so that when it rings, it is suppose to bring `good luck'. Unfortunately, there are others who have the view point that the `ringing' at a good sector `chase' away good luck. 2. Some on the other hand advise to place as what you had mentioned, West and NW because these are metal element sectors. To these practitioners, they `feel' that as the West and NW are metal element sectors, one should enhance the metal element with `rining' tones as to them the ringing tone is metal element. Similarly, to these FS practitioners wind chimes and even clocks with pendulum serves this purpose. 3. …

Frankly, as far as I know; no one has done any studies (if any) in this area. It is good that you have perhaps look at both charts and you felt that on which nature intended you to be born is more accurate.

Dear Anon, Please see below:- It is common for your home and many other homes to have a shoe rack conveniently located as mentioned by you. We have to be realistic in the way we apply Feng Shui. A shoe rack e.g. at the front of the house is `secondary' to Feng Shui. More importantly, we need to score as many marks or points as possible in other more important areas. For example, if one has good shapes and form Feng Shui, this would bring up our `luck' in other areas and things like placement of shoe rack is less important issue. It is good that the inner door e.g. we call this the actual door should open inwards. As for the grille gate, there should not be an issu…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hello I'm confused as to which time I'm supposed to put to calculate my ba zi chart. Are you supposed to always use Beijing, China time or do you put the time for where you born? I was born in New York, USA after 2am on March 17, 1981. Do I use that time and date, or do I have to convert it to china time and date? 1. The only true way to factor in location is to apply the long. (longitude) and lat. (latitude) of birth. However, in reality how many people actually record the exact long. and lat. of birth? I mean even if you know you are born roughly in a hospital, the hospital also have different long. and lat. depending on which part of the b…
