Anonymous wrote: 1. In view of fengshui, what advice would you have for sleeping direction with the leg facing a bay window? Is there any concern as we intend to have the room set up for the parents who are in their old age. 1. It depends. For many developments the bay windows have a half wall and above this is the bay window. In such a situation, there is no issue or concern. 2. However, if the entire bay window and the lower portion is made of glass; then if symbolically, if one's legs face this window; it is considered inauspicious:- 2.1. This is the coffin position when legs face an "opening" 2.2. Commonsense: usually lower part of the body is "exposed" thru the…

Hi Master Cecil I saw the above picture in one your reply. You mentioned that the length is 41cm to 43cm or 59.5cm to 69cm or 71cm or 89cm or 107cm or 148cm. Is this the length of the whole altar from one end to another end? If yes, and using 107cm as example, what measurement to use for ancestor table and chinese god? If the measurement is for the ancestor tablet and the chinse god tablet respectively, then can we use a combination of say 41cm for ancestor table and 59.5cm for chinese god? Appreciate your thoughts on this.

Dear Anon, In general, there are basically `two' screen "formats". The purpose would depend on whether one is `inviting' beneficial Qi into the house or to `screen' away sha qi such as facing a toilet door. 1. If it is to screen from a toilet door, it must cover the height of the toilet door. 2. It is to be `air tight' e.g. no holes or ventilation planes. 3. It should go down towards the floor. If a screen is used for beneficical purposes e.g. to let the qi gently flow into the house: 1. It need not be `air tight'. 2. It need not be all the way up to the ceiling or up to a specific height. It can be of `low' height is acceptable. Warmest Regards, Cecil

In my opinion; majority of Geomancers may consider one's gender at the time one is born when considering one's facing direction. Thus if one is originally born as a "baby boy"; then this should often be the used, instead.

Respected Sir, Thank you for your reply.I apologise for not being clear in my query. My question is that is there any significance of same level of flooring in all the sectors i.e it is harmful to have any sector higher floor level than other sectors &if this is the case at the back of the house where the main door is also located what are the remedies.Further if correcting beams in particular sectors with false ceiling has left these sectors with lower ceiling height as compared with areas without beams,it it harmful & what are the solution for this.

Dear Soon Hoe, 1. Yes, one MUST not rely on this report: Eight Aspirations/Life Associations. 2. When one generate the report, we have stated clearly in the report that it is simply too general to be of use to anyone. 3. Unfortunately, there are many (tons of books) written to capitalise on this general concept. 4. In many of the past messages found under this forum, I have cautioned about "sector feng shui" or paying homage to a sector. 5. The rationale is because, this concept simply states that e.g. SW = romance sector. North = career. And this is not personalised to anyone. 6. It is like telling everyone that our romance sector is at South-West. Imagine: how can this …

Dear Benjamin, 1. I believe Feng Shui can use Feng Shui to help diagnose your problem. 2. Relatively simple situations like you had mentioned especially a staircase at the opposite flat may pose a threat to your home. 3. I hope you can understand that it is very (very) difficult for me to visualize what you are facing, here especially information like the distance the angle of the staircase etc... If you have a sketch and roughly indicate the distance of the rubbish chute and the staircase; and any other apartments close-by, I would be more than happy to take a look at it. You can either fax to me at: 065 - 64820570, or scan it, or take a picture or use any paint software…

Dear Rosie, 1. If you can upload a sketch of your house, I can help you to determine the centre-point of the house. Or to see if there is indeed a missing corner or it's significance. Here, either the Eight house or Flying Star can be used to help analyse the house. As to what u mentioned: I use Usually, these options should be treated more as part of `interior' design or something one "likes" rather than to improve the energy. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Sharon, Generally, when there are two doors facing each door, it is said that there will be more quarrels between the two occupants. Especially if they are extremely close to each other. In your case a life door, though it isn't a house, but you will have lot of people enter in and out of the lift and if it faces your home, in a non-feng shui point of view there will be some lack of privacy. If the lift is a distance away shouldn't be much of an issue to worry about. Otherwise, best thing you may do is to keep the door close when not entering in and out of the house. Hope that helps. These are some considerations: 1. HDB Units face the lift door. 1.1. In my opinion, again, this is one of those things that has more to do with common sense. Thus, some claim such things to be (common sense) Feng Shui. 1.2. Just imagine, if one's main entrance is opened and the interior is in full or partial view of people stepping out of a lift. 1.3. Depending on the density of units that this lift serves as well as human traffic density that uses this lift; most people would feel uncomfortable with many people looking into your home. 1.4. Worse still, many are strangers such as friends, relatives and sometimes those pesky sales person. 1.5. Some feel that because of so …

Master Lee, Is there any concern if lifts are just right beside main door - the entry/exit direction same as main door? How to remedy? Any difference if lifts are on left and right side of main door? Please help and advice. Thank you.

Dear Anon, 1. In my opinion, we have to place priorites. 2. Even in Feng Shui, our immediate concern is to neutralise external threats first. 3. Within, the house, there are equally priorities that we must `set'. For example, it is more important to redress issues like placement of bed, ceiling beams etc.. 4. As I mentioned in several forum messages, priority should take care of crucial problems such as under Para 1. Furthermore, if it is the edge of a building, it has a far greater mass than a tiny hi-fi speaker. 5. It is important to note that our life on this earth is relatively short. So, if we enjoy TV shows, why not, have a TV in the bedroom. Or a hi-fi. Warmest R…

Dear Felicia, Frankly, under Feng Shui (Pillars of Destiny) there is no direct application to improve one's relationship. This is because the closes concepts is based on Pillars of Destiny (Ba Zhi). However, Ba Zhi has an `escape clause' which says that it can map out one's Heaven map e.g. of a person and his/her luck. However, our education, parents influence, our experiences can change our heaven's luck. In my opinion, it is better to use other `educational' techniques or behaviour model e.g. child psychology etc... For now, the closest I believe Pillars of Destiny can help is to do a Pillars of Comparison Chart to find the binding elements of two parties. This module…

Hi Daniel, If you decide to attend the lillian too's conference. Can you ask her why there are so many contradiction about windchimes in her book. In one book she mentions to hang 5 rod wind chime with pagoda to press the 5 yellow and in another she mentions to use 6 rod wind chime and there are many more contradiction regarding it. Secondly ask her that she mentions in all are books not to put flowers and plants in the bedroom but all the pictures of bedroom show plants and fresh flowers in the bedroom. She mentioned that one should not put pictures of women in bedroom because it will make husbands to have roving eyes. Can you ask her it one can hang pictures of couples.…

Dear Master Lee, First of all, I'd like to thank you for providing this forum and website. I've read many of your past topics and can't find out why Lillian Too recommend that the excellent location should be the back door and the front door face the opposite (normally prosperity location). Her book agree with everything you say except that the main door is the back door instead of the front door. I would like your opinion on this because I am buying a new home and this is the first step. Thanks again.

Dear Linh, If you are installing a lily pond, you have to take note of the following:- 1. The pond must not be greater than 33.3 percent of the entire area of the house. 2. Generally or personally it is considered not that favourable for a weak fire person to own a pond or fish tank. 2.1. As it was felt that this MAY greatly affect the person e.g. extinguish his weak fire element. 2.2. This will lead to severe problems e.g. health or intense competition at work. 2.3. Similarly, if one is a strong water person, this is equally bad as one has too much water and will lead to the person having difficulties in his life. 2.4. Fortunately, Feng S…

Is current configuration ok? Not really a way to move bed under window (perpendicular to the master bath door). Should I hide the middle closet door knob? Note: Beyond this forum

Yes, symbolically, a good company logo should avoid anything that signifies cutting, slicing or pointed sharp edges towards the wordings.

Dear Toni, Presently, it is my belief that the two elements that one should be concerned are: 1. Water Water signifies "difficulty" in the I-Ching. Usually water at the centre of the house would pose a problem. 2. Fire (real fire) as in a fire place is the second thing to take note of. The second part is less of a concern than water but more study should be done on this area. Other than that, having a linen cupboard is the lesser of the two `evils'. I believe that this is of less concern. Warmest Regards, Cecil
