Hi Seco, Congratulations on your new home Yes, if all the changes are done for this period 7 house, it should change it to a period 8. To further make the change effective, you should hold like a house warming party to help make ensure that the house is changed to a period 8 house instead of retaining the period 7 influence. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee Geomancy.Net - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Esther, Knocking the door The idea here is to seek the "spirits" permission to enter the home. But, frankly, not many people does this sort of thing. In fact, it is better not to do so, based on symbolism. Knocking could alternatively seem to "knock" away one's luck even before entering the home. Well, I hope, that by now, you should have a good idea of what to do. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Kevin, As the house is `shared' not much you can do here. However, since you mentioned that you are a weak wood person, you can enhance yourself with the following:- 1.Look under the Luck Pillars to see whether the season has any influence on your element i.e. weak wood. For example, if the current 10 year season is " Metal " element, this may not ba an auspicious period. And the cure is to enhance yourself with Water element or Wood element. For example, if the current 10 year season is " Water " element, this is considered favourable to you. For a weak wood person, you should try to enhance yourself with (first: Water) or (secondary: Wood element). For example, you…

Dear Xenia, To be honest, with limited information available, it is difficult to comment based strictly on Feng Shui concepts/principles or issues with it. In general, for a large bedroom, a sink is acceptable (especially nowadays, many modern homes have an attached bathroom but in addition, these larger homes with larger bathrooms have a wash or powder room type of area. In fact, it is very common to find even single storey homes with the bedroom at the frontage area of the home. Try to make the home as comfortable as possible for yourself and family members! Usually, for an old home, a fresh coat of paint, would be nice to refresh the home. And avoid too much …

Dear Flannery, Please see below:- In my opinion, it is best not to apply "Sector concepts" as this is too general. For the bathroom in the center of the apartment, is a concern. There is not much that can be done here. If it is feasible, not to use it or keep it bright and dry. My front In my opinion, I would not be too concerned with the `Relationship area'. The staircase over the main entrance is acceptable. So long it is not a toilet - which is inauspicious. There should not be any problem using the main entrance door. Overall, you may consider checking out using the Free Eight House Report to check on how suitable the house is to you and what intangible f…

In some customs require to walk over the clay stove before entering new house by all family members. And I notice in the YouTube that some boil water on the stove inside the house after finished crossing over by family members. 1) Can we drink the water after boiled or we just let the water evaporate itself after continuing boiling? 2) Do we throw away the clay stove after completed the moving in ceremony?

1. I believe you are trying to avoid moving in after the Chinese 7th lunar month beginning from 20 August 2009. 2. Thus, I also feel that continuing with the renovation is considered as a lesser of the two. 3. The plus point is that the activites you had describe is nothing new or serious: "such as polishing of floor, painting of house, toilet renovation, etc". Such activites are also done by many others present and past who had stayed in a home for quite some time. 4. Thus, in my opinion, all these activities that you had described are OK. Just that do take note of locations based on the Tai Sui and Five Yellow and Three Killings location for the year. Reference: htt…

These are some of the considerations:- 1. First-time open door procedures: Usually performed by a new owner of the home who had taken over a re-sale or a brand new home. 2. If one is renting a home; and if one is moving from another home or apartment; symbolically, when I moves home; make sure that all the essentials e.g. cooking oil, rice, sugar, salt etc.. are full or well stocked up at the new home. In fact the Move-in procedure as found under http:/info.geomancy.net has some of these. 3. Essentially, when we first stay in a new home, we should "stock" up our kitchen. 4. Please note that the First-time-open door and Move-in procedures are considered as "NICE-to-hav…

Dear Marta, Yes, the 7th lunar month is coming. The 7th month starts from 9 August 2002 to 6th September 2002 (last day). This is considered as the Hungry Ghost month where it is said that ghosts are let out to the earth. And considered not good to move in (and even travel). As it is considered that the ghosts can create mischief. Since, there is still sufficient time; usually an auspicious date / time is chosen for the move. For those who do not want to choose an auspicious date can; symbollically move-in first. For example, one may consider performing a house move-in procedure as shown in the attachment or simply by moving in old items into the house; one is said to hav…

Dear Allan, On an intuitive level, (without) detailed Pillars of Destiny or FS analysis; you can: 1. determine what is your present `LUCK' in the existing home. 2. If you have found a `better' home, or feel that you have found a better one then your existing home. In such a situation, you can try to move residence ASAP. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: According to your 30 days to moving websit,we are going to move into our new house on January 19, 2006. dear husband dob is March 1, 1962 at 11: 30 pm my is May 4, 1968 am both dates are in Lunar calendar. We wanted to know what is the good time to arrived at the new house Sorry, probably this reply come in a little too late. Anyway, if you do not know the best hours, then usually go for nice sounding ie 8.59am or 9.59am etc. The reason is because once a day is good, really it does not matter which hour you choose. All hours will generally favour you, only some hours better or less. However, the problem with some best hours that suit both pers…

In such a situation: 1. Where possible, during the process of moving your bed from existing home to new home upstairs; you should if possible not be around at that time; as a well as once the bed has been set; don't move it or adjust it anymore. Here, your husband should be the co-ordinator and decide whether the bed is properly setand not later moved or changed position, whatsoever. 2. Often, if possible, after the bed has been moved upstairs; try if possible not to go into that existing bedroom (anymore). When the new bed / bedroom has been properly set; then you can go in.

Edited by Robert: Apologise, it takes time to get to each post in the forum. In the future, for urgent analysis, it is best you seek professional services. In addition, since our auspicious dates is personalised to individual so, unless you analyse the ba zi, I will not be able to advise if it is the best date for your friend. Hello I will move to a another apartment and I want to know if is ok to clean days before the selected auspicious date-time to move. Is there a special "ceremony" for the cleaning? What do I have to do the date of moving? Special items or things to do or bring (or what to not do or bring ) on that date? I will appreciate your quick reply Thank you

Dear Maria, 1. The Eight House Theory is but only one of the Feng Shui theories. It is meant to find how suitable one is to the house and where possible, sleep in one of a individual's good sectors. Beside this, it is good to face a good direction e.g. especially for study and work. 2. It is `not ideal' to have the above, if the house does not conform to proper Shapes and Form. For more on Shapes and Form, there are either many books around to understand the concepts or you can go thru the materials under My Resources (Resources & Articles) on this site. 3. Use the Flying Star analysis to chart out the birth chart of the house. Here, this analysis is to check for any …

Hi Theresa, Yes, that is correct. If you haven't yet move-in to the house, never bring in old furnitures. New furnitures that are delivered in before the move-in is ok. The moment you bring in old furnitures, that will symbolise that you have move in the house. Thus, move in your old furnitures only after you have selected your auspicious date to move in officially. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

1. If you want to apply proper Feng Shui, it is strongly recommended that a detailed analysis be done. 2. Furthermore, some sectors may not be possible to be "cured". For instance if the toilet is there, it is there so no amount of "Feng Shui" may help in many instances unless the toilet is not there. So how, bang your head against the wall? 3. Thus it is always recommended to try to maximise luck from all other areas, instead.
