Dear Cecil, My house is devided into 3 areas: main area (guest room, bedrooms, dining room & living room), garage area and kitchen area (kitchen, laundry, storage). The kitchen area is behind the main area and the garage is beside the main area. The height of the roof of the kitchen area is lower than main area's. In other words, front is higher than back. I have heard that back should be higher than front otherwise one will suffer financial problem. The remedies are: a. make the back roof higher than front roof (major renovation) b. install a post at the back so that the back is higher than front So, I plan to move my antenna pole to the back. However, a new problem …

Dear Master Cecil: Thank you for your reply to my questions regarding posts in my front yard. Now, my question is what I should do with it? The size of this utility post (where electricity wires and telephone cables are) is 6 inches by 6 inches and less than 3 feet high. Standing at my front door, this post looks like slicing into my front entrance and I cannot remove this post (utility work inside). Should I plant shrubs around this post to block my view of this post? Or should I grow climbing vines, such as trumpet vine, around the post? Please advise. Thank you very much. Regards, Anon

I have a small kitchen and recently added a small metal shelving unit. Due to space constraints I had to put my cats' food and water bowls on the bottom shelf. I am concerned that the shelf above the "feeding shelf" will act as a beam or otherwise create negative feng shui for the cats. Any advice?

I am moving to an acreage where the address can be any even number between 55200 and 55298. Since the 552 are considered bad numbers, what last 2 numbers of the address could I use that would counteract the 552 at the start of the address?

Dear Master/Masters, I have problems concentrating during my studies and often does not feel like doing any work nor studies despite the fact that I like the course I'm doing now. My study table is beside my window and have a wooden shelf next to my table. Both of them are facing my bed while I have a full mirror behind my bed. I consider my room extremely packed and I do not have anymore spaces to shift my current furnitures around. I need advice to improve my concentration and buck up my spirits in terms of my studies. Thank you.

Never buy a house with a toilet located at the center influence of the home. The center of the house is where all the flux of energy comes together. And if the toilet is located at the center of the home. Your wealth will leak out of the home. This will result in the family facing financial difficulties.

I would like to use the second bedroom as my study. I no longer study in school but use a lot of time in it to do my personal accounting, finances, emails, etc. There will be a computer (important), filing cabinets, and lots of bookshelves. It is in the Irritation and Death sector. What can I do to make it suitable for me? Should I have the computer and desk facing NE which is my Excellent sector? I am Strong Fire.

Hello: I've been reading and looking for a solution to a main door facing east and south-east direction and a center of house toilet. Things have been very bad and going on decline since we moved here, job losses, sickness, and constant tension. After doing analysis we realized that this house was not a good choice. We have tried several remedies but things have not improved, moving is completely out of the question for now, perhaps you can suggest some remedies to help change the energy of this house. Dear Master Cecil: I am in the U.S. Here, people plant shrubs all around the exterior edges of a house (in every direction). I am very worried about planting shrubs outside the house. I do not want to plant anything and find out later on that it has adverse impact on the Feng Shui. Shrubs are "wood". Which directions are not suitable for having lots of wood? Or we should examine eight directions in conjunction with the Flying Star? Would you provide advices? Thank you. Regards, Jen

Dear George, Please see below:- Since, one party is an East group person while the other spouse is a West group person. This seems to be acceptable based soley on the Eight House concept. It is good to hear that the front door does not line up with the door of the opposite house. In general, it is acceptable for your house to be `lower' elevation than the neighbours. But, frankly, I cannot comment more; since I do not have a full picture of the house. Hopefully, the toilet(s) are not at the centrepoint of the house. In GENERAL, with the simple description, I can only provide the above `guarded' comments. Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. >The street number is 5…

Help! I am a Weak Water , 8 , Ken my direction is NE. I live in a northeast house but my bedroom is in the disaster area, my bed is facing in the SE death direction. There is a painting of water, a river flowing towards the viewer visible from my bed. My dressing room is in the Death section and my bathroom in the irritation section. Unfortunately this cannot be changed. My front door is on the NW side facing NE and not near the death or disaster section. As I live alone there is nobody else to consider. Could you please tell me if there is a remedy for this situation and what. I realized that I always wake up with this feeling of fear and doom and wish to hide under the…

Dear Anon, Please see below:- As mentioned in my earlier reply on this subject; this is actually contingent on the Flying Star Feng Shui. Yes, it is based on the Flying Star Feng Shui. No, based on what I have understood of the concept, it has to be a reall hill e.g. as high as a 1 storey building. For tall trees and bushes; often; it is not considered as a hill (since, it still no matter what allows air to pass thru. Another senario is that i.e. it depends! Since no two situations are similar in every home). I appreciate; that in the future, it is best not to use the "Anonymous" on topics such as this one. Else, I may not post it out. The rationale is because…
