  1. I have read that having a staircase in front of the main entry is not good. Does this mean the steps should not face the main door and/or the staircase should not be positioned directly in front of the main door. We are considering a home with the entry opening into a spacious foyer. However, the the curving staircase is positioned in front of the main entry with the steps facing slightly offset and away from the main entry. The main entry points towards the the steps. The face of the steps is approximately a 45 degrees offset to main entry and point towards a wall next to the main entry. How would this layout be interpreted. Thank you.
  2. My family is considering purchasing a house. Should we be concerned about the house number? We are particularly interested in two houses with the house street address numbers 3013 or 6324. These houses are being built in 2003, with an expected completion and move-in in January or February 2004. I've read that 2,3 in combination is not good, nor having a 4 at the end of series. What would you advise in regards to house street numbers. Thank you, WY
  3. My family is considering purchasing a house. We have looked at several houses. In the back fence side or rear of the houses we've seen, there was one which had an open field of a school and another one with a telephone pole and power line on the upper corner of the back fence. Is the open field behind the house considered a weakness (i.e. an unprotected back)? Is the telephone pole considered a 'poison arrow' and the power lines a source of 'shar chi'? What would be your advise for the objects at the rear of house? Thank you.
