  1. Thank you for your reply and subsequent "advice" about bed placement. It is indeed a relief to know that bed placement should be based on what is right for the individual Sometimes, one feels the restriction of what the "rules" of Feng Shui recommend, so it is nice to know that practicality or personal preference is also allowed to influence one's decisions within the home Many blessings to you and again, I thank you, Susan
  2. Hello Master Cecil I have just rented a lovely condo near the beach. There are a couple of issues of concern re: the bedroom. First, the door to the bedroom directly faces the front entrance, so when you walk in you see into the bedroom. Secondly, the only place to put the bed is perpendicular to the door (you face the head of the bed when you walk in the front door) or in front of a window with the foot of the bed facing the door. The other issue is if I choose the wall option, it is not a favorable sleeping position (head faces SE and I am a strong yang Metal (Gua #7). Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Many blessings, Susan
  3. Hi, I have been trying to figure out what compass point to use to determine directionality and the Ba Gua formation for my apartment. I have found sites that say use Magnetic North and others that say 0 degrees is South. Help!! Thank you, Susan
  4. Good Morning Master Cecil, I am sorry to bug you one more time, but I am in a quandary over the placement of my bed. My Kua number is 7, (West-Metal), so my auspicious directions are W, SW, NW, and NE. My bedroom closet encompasses the entirety of my West wall, and the NE direction is in a corner (bed placement here leaves a space behind (triangular gap). My KISS Feng Shui book says a corner is a No No when considering bed placement as it does not allow for adequate support. Do you have any ideas as to where I should put my bed? Thank you once again for your time and advice, Susan
  5. Thank you so much Cecil for your very prompt response :) I think I feel most comfortable following the Traditional Compass School of thought, so I feel better about the current layout of my home. Thank you again and many blessings, Susan
  6. Hello Master Cecil (my Dad's name by the way :)) I am so totally confused after much research on the net regarding directionality. I am attempting to establish the Ba-Gua in my apartment and have found articles stating to use Magnetic North and others that indicate 0 degrees is South. Help!! As I live in an apartment (building faces the N-NE direction, and my door to my apt. faces South-Southwest, I am also confused as to what direction to consider the House Facing direction. I would appreciate any input. Thank you, Susan
