  1. More apologies! I seem to be having difficulty getting to know the site and the correct way to post - now my floorplan has become detached from my question! Please bear with me and let me repeat. I am Gua 2, my husband also (from Gua 5). Our (employer provided) house is period 7, SE 1 (122 degrees). My first concern is whether the external back hallway, shared with one neighbour upstairs (the house was originally built as one and later divided into two flats by creating our 'back door'), or whether I should treat it as a 'missing corner' in a U-shaped plan. My second concern is about the positioning of our bed. Our bedroom window is in the SW of the room and faces SW, bedroom door is in the east corner of the room and faces NE, all of which look to my amateur eye to be good. However, over the years that we have been in this house, our personal lives seem to have deteriorated - the children (teenagers) had problems with their schools and we had to send them to boarding in the UK, which further exacerbated our financial difficulties, and over the last two years we have had relationship and moderately serious health problems. Using the 'pie chart' method of designating sectors, a line runs diagonally through the bedroom. One half (SW) has the stars 2 mountain, 9 water, 4 base, and now 2 annual. The other half (W) has 6 mountain, 4 water, 9 base, and annual 7. I can position the bed either in the SW sector, facing SW, or in the W corner, facing NW (or possibly NE). Which position would be most likely to ameliorate the situation for us? My priorities, naturally, would be for health, followed by relationship. Many thanks to any kind reader who could advise. 2. I am sorry I did not realise when I wrote a short time ago that it was possible to attach a plan. Please find attached a sketch to help explain my question. Best regards Marilyn Wilson
  3. I am Gua 2, my husband Gua 2(5). We live in a period 7 SE1 house. A number of years ago, the landlord converted the house into two flats by installing a doorway in the middle. So, we enter into a square hallway, facing this door, which leads to a back hallway/staircase that leads in turn to the back door of the building proper. Essentially, these two halls divide the house in two, with bedrooms along corridors to the left (going in, SW side)and sitting room, kitchen, study to the right (NE side). The back hallway is shared with our one upstairs neighbour and as well as being our back entrance has the staircase leading up to his flat. My question is, do I include this back hallway when I measure the centre of the house, or would the house count as U shaped with this sector missing? Many thanks, Marilyn McMurtrie
