  1. Thank you, Master Lee, for your reply. I will let you know how it goes. Am getting ready to place new staircase, and needed to know info. I have not used the Luo Pan before, just an ordinary compass (am a skilled forester so can use a compass easily) I was confused because the book had a person standing inside the house facing out the main door holding the compass, then a few page later showed the person standing in front of the house, facing the front door, holding the compass toward the front door! So you can see my confusion. I use your website very much, and also really enjoyed the auspicious day reading. I would like to eventually take classes from your site and gain a certification. I hope all is well in your corner of the world. Thank you again. Sincerely, Lisa Pirkkal
  2. Dear Master Lee, Thank you so much for your reply. I live on the 3rd floor, so can apply your formula and start doing Flying Star. My confusion started when I read two books--one of which had someone standing outside the house, looking toward the front door and holding the compass toward the front door (that would put the compass direction in direct opposition to the formula holding compass inside, standing facing out the front door) then in another book had house trigram formula and compass formula opposite, as the sitting and facing directions were opposite. The book said to use the trigram formula to apply flying star feng shui. Is it safe to simply just stand inside the house, looking out, to apply both methods, then? If so, I will throw those books away! The best luck, so far, was when I applied the compass method and eliminated activating my not so good directions. Thank goodness for your site, and for you. You always make feng shui easy and fun to apply, and you must be so very busy...it is GREATLY AND DEEPLY appreciated that you take the time out of your busy day to respond to us all over the world. Thank you so much! Lisa
  3. Dear Masters Cecil and Robert, I am really enjoying your site and use it frequently, even for friends. I need some information to clear up confusion. I use the east/west system and take my compass readings from the inside looking out. I have been drawing up different charts, as I think my real facing direction is actually east as that is where my big picture window and deck face, whereas in my condo complex my front door is actually 270 d west and enter into a small hallway above a staircase...should I try both templates? or do I use just the direction my front door faces, with me standing inside my condo looking out? Or do I stand in my sliding glass door in the back of my condo facing east that overlooks my most unencumbered view? The other confusion is this: I have several books on Feng Shui, (Lillian Too, Larry Sang, etc. Ido not use any BTBFeng Shui)and there are conflicting views on where exactly to take compass readings. Some show that you should be outside, facing your front door for the reading. That would put the compass shot directly opposite. Also, the House Trigram formula...shows sitting direction and facing directions in direct conflict with compass east/west sitting and facing direction. How do I know if I have a Dui house as opposed to a Chen house? And is the compass east/west system just for my personal directions, or is it for my home too? Could you please explain the difference. I want to start applying Flying Star Feng Shui to my home, and I want to make sure I have the right formula to use mountain and water stars in different sectors. Also am planning to remodel to period 8, and have a chance at a spiral staircase (for free) vsregular stairs, and need to know what template to apply to my remodel for maximum benefit (where to place the staircase). So it is critical I know the difference between the systems and where exactly are the proper sectors for my house. Incidentally, my door is exactly 270 degrees (magnetic north) and back door exactly 90, overlooking a beautiful valley. Thank you so much for your time. finski
  4. Good day, masters! I am studying Feng Shui extensively, and have been using your site to do my personal calculations. I am confused however on one particular: I live in a west group house, which is perfect for me as I am a west group person. However, the layout of my home has me facing all my 'bad directions', and my good directions, such as the southwest, are blocked by a stepladder staircase going into a hole in the floor to my bedroom level (I live in a three level loft style condominium). The good areas, such as west (where my front door is, and closet upstairs) southwest (staircase and big hole in the floor) northwest (bathroom lower floor and closet upper floor) and northeast (end of kitchen, very small compact area) have me in a quandry, as I have been forced to place my bed against the north wall upstairs, my home office facing south on the south wall of my bedroom (downstairs south is where I have my couch). I can do nothing of the space in the southwest, other than hang pictures and place maybe a small aquarium or table. I am confused. According to the I Ching and bagua, southwest is associated with mother earth and relationships. But according to my birthtime, it is for me 'wealth.' Does that mean that it is my wealth corner of my home only? Do I energize this with fish aquarium and color purple--even though water erodes earth. And if so, where is my relationships corner? I do not want to energize it as wealth with tree energy if it is earth energy! Do I activate it as wealth, or do I activate it according to the I Ching as relationship? Because I am strong fire, I am not supposed to place more fire in the south, however this is the place I put my computer as there is no other room in my bedroom. The north area is traditionally for career, but it is where my stove and kitchen are located. Does that mean I will not have a career? And of course, my worst direction is southeast, which is wood energy. The area traditionally associated with wealth. Once I put a fish tank there, and the feng shui resulting almost killed me. So... How do you use the compass favorable and unfavorable directions as applied to your home and use all areas of your home. I do not know how to use the bagua and 8 pillars in relation to the compass, as I am afraid to energize my bad directions...yet these are clearly part of life, as in career, family and health, weath and fame and reputation. Yet according to compass, in my case they are assocaited with spook, the six killings, death, etc. Does that mean that I am going to be lacking these in my life if I do not energize the area of my home? And if I am not to use them, where would my family area be, or my career area? How does the compass school method and the 8 pillars work together without causing harm in the bad directions? Please help clarify if you can. Looking at the bagua, I can energize all areas by color and feng shui cures. However, I was told by the practictioner that these are directions I am to face, and have nothing to do with the actual template of my house, that it was beneficial to energize all areas of my home. Yet my house is a template for my well being, and because I am afraid to energize certain areas of my house, it has affected my life as well (since rearranging my furnishings, my long term boyfriend and I broke up, I fell out of favor with several close friends, and I lost my job and source of income...all in the space of two weeks! so I know it may be attributed to bad feng shui!) Please help. Thanks, I love your site. One day I will love to take your on line course, but now need a job with money! Lisa Your help would be greatly appreciated.
  5. Dear Master Lee, A bad year for the rabbit--no kidding! I am struggling very much so. Seems as though all good luck generated so far ends up degenerating. Would like to know how to keep good luck flowing. 1) used your site for instant charts. Not sure how to read the flying star chart your site has generated for my home. I do not know how to read the chart to know where to position my aquarium, or wealth, etc.My flying star chart in Period 6 has the directions indicated, but in each individual grid there are three numbers, year with a number and month with a number--not sure which number goes with which. Are the big numbers the stars themselves? Which are lucky and unlucky numbers? Do the numbers mean that number corresponds with that area in my home? How can I tell what year means, what month means, plus what each of the numbers mean? 2) my personal wealth corner is southwest. But was advised due to this being a bad year for rabbit to not light it up and keep it quiet as possible. How to generate weath without activating my wealth area? Also, because the wealth corner is traditionally one of tree energy (wood) which is not a good element for me, what types of elements do I place in this corner, colors, objects, etc. to help with weath? Right now I have metal objects, pictures, the colors red, pink and peach (to help generate romance), and my aquarium. It is on the far right side of my home's entrance in the corner. I did not place a plant there, out of worry of tree energy draining earth. Is this right? Your last message said an aquarium was good for me because I am strong fire--but am clueless on where to put the aquarium. Seems like each place I put it ends up a disaster in some way in my life. 3) I am very lonely and can't seem to hold on to a committed partnership. Every time things are going well, something terrible happens. Do I have a romance area of my home that can be energized? According to bagua, it is the southwest. Because of this and this being a hard year (I would not have believed it, and didn't at first, but it seems now to be the case) is it wrong to have my aquarium there, plus all the other objects, including a crystal? My birthday is May 4, 1963 at 3:10 pm in Klamath Falls, Oregon, USA. 4) One thing good--I used the red envelope to help sell a property, and every wish I had written on the piece of paperin the envelope came true. Unfortunately, the money I had earned (quite a bit) has slipped right through my fingers, and I am nearly back to square one, back to the same place I started. I should have been more specific with intent--to actually KEEP the money I had earned in the sale! So now I have written my intent and am keeping it in a little silver frame in my southwest sector--a wish for a good relationship. Is this right? Will it help? 5) I am considering using your professional service, but to fly here to the states or me to singapore is out of the question. I saw a sample of the report for 68 us dollars on your site, but not sure how to read it. I need some good advice on exactly where and what to do with my personal home space. Do I need to send you a detailed floor plan with pictures? How can you help? I think there is a leak somewhere, and don't know if it's due to unlucky placement or stars, or whatever, but I feel drained and am in need of some great advice. I don't have alot of money now to spend, so every dollar must count. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, Lisa
  6. Dear Master Lee, Thank you so much for your reply. I will study more on flying star, and may actually use your service, since flying star is something I firmly believe (the other method, "kindergarten feng shui" --or as one calls it "mcbagua" cost me 140 dollars for an hour and nearly wrecked my prosperity!--I knew something quite didn't fit right. If I can figure it out on my own regarding flying star, I will, but I am considering using your service. I am mentally sending you a red envelope filled with lucky wishes and prosperity for your kind reply--let me know where I can mail the real thing for better luck! Sincerely, Lisa L. Pirkkala
  7. Hello, Mr. Lee--I am confused andat wits end trying to decide where to put my fish aquarium. I am strong element fire according to your site, and with my best directions of south west, northwest, west and northeast. According to Lillian Too's books my five ghosts element is water, but I really enjoy having fish (I have 5 orange platties instead of goldfish because goldfish grow too big and are too messy) in a small 5 gallon tank (number 5 for sense of adventure and fun). I read in Lillian Too's book that you are only supposed to place aquariums in the east, southeast, north (three of which directions are inauspicious for me) or the southwest. I triedputting the aquarium in the southwest last yearand I had difficulty with relationships and made me too moody--if water is my spook or 5 ghosts element, would it therefore create havoc in my prosperity? According to the bagua (black hat) this is my relationship corner (but I am not sure if this method is correct.) I even called a "professional feng shui" consultant, and she did the bagua method and didn't use flying star. When I followed her advice, enhanced the north corner and the southeast corner for career and money, and put the aquarium in the southeast corner, it created problems and disaster (I had difficulty finding a job, lost lots of money, got a job in a greenhouse watering plants (wood and water) and came down with very bad pnemonia, and I almost lost my home in a foreclosure), so I think the black hat methodmight be bad andthe flying star method might be the best, after researching your website.I used your free charts to determine myhome group (my door facesdue west)W2, I was born May 4, 1963 flying star period 6 , my home built in 74 and remodeled sometime in the mid 80's. According to your site, 8 house chart, my northwest is health and metal, my north is water and spook, mynortheast is earth and excellent, my west is metal and longevity, my east is wood and irritation,my southwest is earth and prosperity, my south is fire and disaster, and southeast is wood and death. I want to generate career luck, wealth, fame and love. My question is this: because aquarium is water, a supposed bad luck element for me (is that true? I have always loved aquariums) and whatever area I place it will create disaster? Or can it be good? I don't want to put it anywhere other than the best location. water nourishes wood (a supposedly bad element for me) and destroys fire (which I am). Please help! I would love to be able to generate wealth and prosperity using the water element and aquarium in my home because it is supposed to work. But I don't know if it is an auspicious element for me and where to put it, but according to Lillian Too and other feng shui sources, water aquariums are supposed to be good. I can't afford to take another financial 'hit' or have bad relationships with friends and romance. Please tell me where to place my aquarium. By the way, the northwest is out of the question: that is my bathroom, and upstairs is one room, my bedroom. Just a quick note, too. I moved my computer facing south to write (fame). Is this okay? Please help. Sincerely, Lisa L. Pirkkala
