Thank you for your prompt reply. To further clarify on the same subject, there are eight kua according to the Eight House Theory. I agree that thefacing directionwhere the Qi enter the house is of utmost important.But before that we have to determine the kua of the house before we can apply the Eight House Theory. So, a house that sits on East (using the loupan to determine), it is the "chen" kua and thus we can apply, based on the Eight House Theory, the favourable and unfavourable directions based on the "chen" kua. Do you agree?

Hi, from your many replies, I come to understand thatelement of the house is based on the facing direction of that house. I am rather confused as the sitting of the house will determine the house kua and thus its element as we applythe Eight House Mansion Theory.
