  1. Dear Master Cecil, I wish to seek your advice on theFour pillar, which belongs to a male born on March 5th, 1985 at 11.37pm. As this is a weak Water person, is his pillar too weak so that he comes under the "Follow The Leader" category dominated by Wood and Earth? If so, whatwill then behis favourite elementsplease? As there is no Fire element (which representshis spouse) in his chart, does it mean his chance of getting married is very slim? Must he then wait until he comes across a Luck Pillar with Fire Element or a year of FireElement before he can get married? Thank you for your kind advice.
  2. Dear Robert, 4 Pilllars - Strong or Weak? For a female born on Jan 25 her 4pillars ( extracted from this website) are as follows: Hour Day MonthYear yin metal yang fire yang earth yin wood yin wood yang earth yang wood yin earth She is regarded as a STRONG Fire with favourable elements being Earth& Water, and wood & fire being unfavourable. I presume she is considered a Strong fire because of the many Wood elements in herchartwhich enhance fire. However, Ihave the followingquestions and would appreciate if you could help to clarify: 1) Asher self element is FIRE, bornin the 3rd monthof Winter (per lunar calender), when WATER is most prosperousand FIRE at its weakest (put out by water), how can she can be aStrong Fire? 2) Being born in Winter when Water is most prosperous and dominates, why does herseason of birthunder the Month pillarearthly branchshowsWood? Shouldn't this be Water insteadwhich was in season? And if so, wouldn't this then make her a Weak Fire? (I have read books which suggested so) As a separate question, as her chart lacks Water Element, presumbaly thisbecomes her most favourable (being most needed) element? Would the hidden element of Water help to balance her chart? (formed by combination of Yang Fire + yin metal in the stem). Thank you. Best Regards,
  3. Dear Robert, Many thanks for a speedy response which is very enlightening. Ihave one more question arising from your answer to my Question (1) - Under what circumstances can an element in the chart (Water in this demo case), when combined with another element, lose its own elemental status and change to another element (Earth in this demo case)? Thank you. Warmest regards,
  4. Dear Robert, I havesome questions relating to the Ba Zi Premium Report from this website - Demo Male born 1 Jan 1910 and would appreciate if you could kindly clarify.. 1) Under the section on Summary of Elements (ie Elements Weighting), no weighting was given to WATER whereas the 4 Pillar chart shows that there is ONE WATER element.. Also, I think there should be3 EARTH elements (per chart) and not 4 per Summary.. Is there an error in the demo report or have I misunderstood something? 2) As a separate question,IF this Demo Male has no Water element shownon the face of his 4 pillar chart, but if there isHIDDEN element, eg Water element formed by the combination of Yang Fire+ Yin Metal, will this hidden Water element be counted and weighted as much as if it is clearly indicated in the chart? In another words,if this hidden Water elementcanbeincluded to"balance" his chart, can we sayhis chartis no longer lacking in WATER (though weighting needs to be increased to achieve better balance)? 3)Resulting from the abovequestion, ifheis no longer lacking in Water, can Waterbe stillconsidered his Most favourite element? 4) As a general question, are hidden elements morepowerful than the obvious ones? Looking forward to your reply. Many thanks for your help. Best Regards,
  5. Dear Robert, I am really delighted that you have answeredmy very first posting here which I find very useful.. Many thanks indeed for your kindness and generosity.. Warm regards,
  6. Dear Cecil, I would be grateful if you could advise on the following: 1) how to calculateweightings and strengths (in %) of the 5 elements from the 4 pillar chart so that one knows which element is required more than the others in order to achieve a good balance? 2) When analysing the relationship of the self element with other elements in the 4 pillar chart, does one always take into account the Strength or Weakness of the self element? eg. If self element is Strong Fire, and the Day pillar branch isWood (spouse), does this mean that the spouse is destructive to self because self element is already Strong? Or do weignorethe strength or weakness of the elements and just look at the normal relationshipcycle ie, Woodis good for fire as it produces fire here? Many thanks for your precious time.
