I tried to apply FengShui in my house for several years. I mainly focused on interior of the house and tried to design auspiciously the individual parts of the house based on the 9 Bagua fields. I used the main entrance of the house as the baseline, i.e. I placed the imaginary "knowledge", "career" and "helpful people" areas there. It never felt really right though. Some time ago, I painted a wall in the "helpful people" area (metal element) green and that felt right. Green is associated with element of wood. This element is associated in the "bounty" area of the house that is situated diagonally from the "helpful people" area. I think I have pretty strong intuition so I started looking for explanations. We live in a Dutch terrace house. The shed is in the back of the house and the bicycles are parked there. Most of the time we use bicycles to get anywhere in the town. Therefore we use that entrance about 90% of the time. So I came to the conclusion that I should use the official back of the house as the main entrance. Thus Bagua areas need to rotate 180 degrees. Could you confirm that when determining the base line for Bagua, the most used entrance determines the base line, not the official one (where the mail box and house number is)? And, to make things more complicated, how to determine the base line for Bagua when some family members use one entrance frequently and other members use the opposite entrance frequently? Thanks in advance Miki
