Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I am looking for some addresses in Guangzhou(China). It would be a great favour if you could provide me with the retailers and dealers which sell office furniture which have been designed according to the principles of feng shui. Thanks in advance and wish you a great day!!! Sorry, but I am afraid you have to do your own search through yahoo/google search. We do not keep track of this. Even if you are not sure, just get a feng shui measuring tape. Often as long as the dimension fall within the auspicious segments of the measuring tape, the furnitures are deemed to be feng shui friendly. That is one way you can distinguish auspicious furniture from non-auspicious furniture. Also, feng shui friendly furniture then to have rounded corners rather than sharp corners. Dear Da Wang, Da Wang wrote: Tell me the difference in the topic title and why the calculation to other website too. Generally, there are two ways to look up an auspicious date. 1) One method is by looking up the Tong Shu. Which is basicallyan alamac of events that is created to let you know generally how the day is in relation to the year. This is general assesment without personalising the dates to any individual. This means that say 10 Jan is determined to be an auspicious date for wedding. This means that the date is generally it is good for wedding for everyone on this planet. However, noteveryone will find that day good, simply becauseindividually, the day might clash with that person. That is why in addition to the Tong Shu, often you will need to check if the day is suitable to you or not through your ba zi for example. That is where the 2nd method is available to bridge add the additional personalisation needed to consider all the aspects. 2) The second method is Personalised Auspicious Dates This means that in additional to key alamanc dates in the tong shu, one needs also to consider if the day clashes with the individual's ba zi. Then draw a balance to find a date which isn't too bad in the tong shu as well as suitable. That would be the best overall date. However, as personalisation is added, it does not necessary follow the tong shu forecast as it is not possible. A good date in the tong shu does not necessary mean it is suitable to the ba zi. A not to bad date but is suitable to the ba zi may bring more luck to the individual. So when you balance all these factor, you get the best overall date available to each person. That is how the personalised dates in geomancy differ from the normal tong shu. So you normally use either one of the method. If you use method 1, then you do not use method 2. If you use method 2, then you shouldn't use method 1 anymore as the method 2 already considers the personalised aspects. You make use of our auspicious date analysis from this link:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-dateboth.htm Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Does colour of the floor tiles have any impact in FS? Caused apparently my boyfriend and i chose a glossy black floor tiles for the living/dining area and all our bedrooms. Colours plays a fairly big role in the Feng Shui. As it covers a big area of the room. So yes, it does have some impact. Black is generally Water element. So this will add water to the sector of the house. Also, dark colours will darken the room compared to light colours. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Linda, Linda Tung wrote: i was wondering, what does the decade luck period mean? "luck with you" and "luck against you"? what does that depend on? i noticed that it has no relation to branches or stem relationships with the 4 pillars. In your ba zi, there is this luck flow that changes every couple of years. Something like the seasons ie every 3 months there is a change in season. So in the ba zi, there is something similiar like this. A person can either be travelling in the direction when luck is with you or luck is against you. There is a 10-yearly luck flow, and a yearly luck flow. So every few years the 10-year luck will either go with or against you. Same goes for the yearly luck. So that is the difference. Even if a year is good, but if luck is not with you, things may not go as smoothly as a year that has luck with you but is average. Hope that helps to clarify the matter. Dear Jaye, Jaye E wrote: How do you compute for the percentage of the five elements balance in the 10 year luck pillars please??? thank you. This percentage in every 10-yearly luck pillars was specially tabulated by us for our users. We make use of the different 10-yearly/5-yearly/yearly/6-monthly luck changes to factor out a weightage for each luck period. This value is then factored into the inital percentage to allow users to see howthe percentage changes during each 10-yearly luck. For example, inital luck period you may only have 10% fire. But in certain luck period where fire becomes much more, then percentage can increase to a much higher percentage. Telling you that you have additional fire percentage for that period. Warm regards,Stephanie This is more a paid service that is related to our Full International Home Audit. Dear David, Teo David wrote: I have recently spotted this structure which is in front of a HDB flat. I understand from your valuable website that based on the left green dragon, right white tiger, front phoenix, and back turtle theory, will this structure posed any negative effect which the flat is facing it? Appreciate if you can fork out some of your valuable time to clear my doubt? Thank you very much. Generally, this structure looks like a typical tomb layout. So if it does faces your home directly, then it will impact your house feng shui somewhat. As it resembles a tomb. So will not be that auspicious if any. The lower floor unitfacing this structure will have the most impact. Higher floorsunit will likely not be so badly affected. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I am looking for Condo in the East part of Singapore, in particular, Pasir Ris (eg Elias Green .. etc), Tampines (eg The Tropical ... etc) and Simei (eg Modena, Tropical Green .. etc) area. Frankly, this is more a house hunting related service rather than free advise. There are so many condo developments in Singapore. Every condo will have some good or bad blocks. And even within the block there are good and bad units. Furthermore, depending on the direction of the apartment faces, the house luck will be different. So we it is not right for us to just tell you which is the most suitable condo just based on your year of birth. Personally, if you really want the best site, then I can frankly tell you in Singapore, the areas where you can find most of landed properties or high-end condo are typically the better locations in Singapore. So the more practical way for you to go about hunting your house is first determine the breadwinner's and family member's best direction. Then hunt for a house within the development that has that fits this requirement. Then from there you can compare to see which one is most suitable overall from the layout plan and the site. Generally, if you are a West group person, then the best house luck for house built 2004-2023 (Period is generally Northeast/Southwest facing. While East group person is generally South/East facing. Then whether or not the house is good or bad depends on whether the bedrooms are located in the sectors that is suitable for the other family members. As well as whether the house layout can benefit from the flying star house luck. This is usually the better way to find your perfect house. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Dear Sir, I would like to know whether 3 doors facing each other is a bad fengshui. The first door is a toilet door facing the bedroom door, & inside the bedroom is another toilet with the door facing the bedroom door. Would appreciate your advice. Generally, any door facing another door directly is usually inauspicious. Especially, if the two doors facing each other are close by and are bedrooms. This is because two occupants will not see eye-to-eye so may have quarrels. In this case, this is toilet facing bedroom so at least you won't have quarrels as it is not a bedroom so not really as bad. But still imagine if the toilet door is not closed, everytime you enter in and out of the room, you will see the toilet. Anyway, nothing much you can do except to keep the toilet clean and the toilet door close when not in use. This way you will minimise any bad influence. Hope that helps. Dear Roberta, Roberta Belliveau wrote: since I have begun remodeling my main bathroom, I have experienced a series of expensive mishaps - cracked windshield, flat tire, broken tie-rod, expensive contract. (I'm hoping that is all) There are usually two things that might cause this issue:- 1) Generally, if your house is built in any of the previous luck period (ie period 7 - 1984-2003, period 6 - 1964-1983 etc). Any major renovations you do after 2004, will change your luck to the Period 8 (2004-2023). Sometimes the house luck may change for better some may change for the worst depending on the direction of your home and whether the previous period is better than current period. So this is one problem that you might be affecting you. ie the current Period 8 house luck is actually less auspicious than your previous house luck. You can make use of the free flying star chart in our member area to check on this:- URL: http://login.geomancy.net This means that there may be a star5 (misfortune star)active somehwhere in your frontage of the house or in your current bedroom or rooms you make use of. 2) If your renovationwork is close to North-North-West (330 degree), you may have accidentially oftended the Tai Shu (Grand Duke) for this year. Especially, so if you do not start on a good date or did not have a start of renovation ritual. This will be hard to correct as once you offend it, may be hard to correct. You can try to have an offering to seek forgiveness. Roberta Belliveau wrote: What determines daily luck? I have done my house and each room, but what do I do to determine if and when it is a good time to start a project???? Each person's ba zi can forecast a daily luck change. This change every 10-year/5-year/year/month/day etc. As for auspicious dates, in additional to good or bad days each day, another important aspect to consider is whether the day clashes with the year, whether there are like other influence broken day etc. Most of the problem days will contain these issues and should be avoided. So a good day to start work is usually deemed a date that does not have any bad influence between the day and year, and should be fairly suitable to your bazi element and should not clash with your horoscope. That is generally what we determine to be a good day. Time is usually less improtance once a day is deemed good. But for renovation often it is better to start early morning. Normally 8-9am which are also auspicious soundings. You can make use of our auspicious dates link to look up for good date. URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-dateboth.htm For renovation, often besides the good date, you should have a simple start of renovation ritual. Such as knocking on the floor 3 times and apologising to all the "spirits" in the house for any disturbance as you are about to start renovation work. That is usually what is done to minimise offending any spirits or tai sui (grand duke) etc. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Andy, LIM BAO LI ANDY wrote: I am being told that I lack the water element after seeking Zi Wei Dou Shu, thus was advised to buy a rat figurine(to place hair, fingernails & ba zhi, for the master to pray on, once bring home must place in a dark corner of the cupboard)to fill back my lost element. Frankly, true application of feng shui does not require you to buy items or any figurines. Most of these items or figurines are just decorative items with absolutely no magical or mystical powers. For such figurines, you can buy it place it facing whatever direction and it will still not change your luck or elements. True Feng Shui is all about understanding your luck and trying to get your surrounding environment as suitable and as harmonious to you and your family as possible. This is often accomplished through choosing the right colour scheme, placing your furniture in the right location or facing direction etc. At most, knowing where is your water wealth position, and activating it with some water feature. That is about all. So make use of this tool to check what element you belong to:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-element.htm Once you know what element you belong to, you can try to get your career, your home facing, colours, people around you and any thing related to five element to be suitable for you. Here is a chart you can refer about five element and characteristics:- URL: http://talk.geomancy.net For example, ifyou lack water, then you should enhance your water by ensuring you choose a career that is water related(comunications/arts etc), while staying in a North facing house (water), or having more colours (blue/black/gray) in your room/car/clothings etc. Also, people whom you work with or are friends with that belong to your favourable elements will also bring you luck. Recently, have heard about some feng shui consultant that tell people their ba zi is extremely bad in all aspects (health/wealth/romance etc). Then in order to fix this problem, you must pay that consultant 7K to change your birthday to get a better ba zi. This is impossible because your ba zi is determined by the day you are born. How can you change your date of birth? The only way you an change your ba zi is to die and re-born in another date through another lifetime. So if and when you get advise telling you to perform"dark" rituals, or to change the impossible (ie change your birthday etc). You really need to be careful of such advice. Dear Vanessa Pruett, Vanessa Pruett wrote: My fiancee and I have moved in together and we are trying to Feng Shui our home correctly using the eight house method. The problem is this...He is a Kua 2, I am a Kua 4 and my daughter is a Kua 5 female. What do we do? How do we find a common ground so that we can find balance and harmony for everyone? The Eight House is used for suitability analysis. Since each person have different suitability. So what we normally do is follow these steps:- 1. For breadwinner (usually your husband), as long as the house faces his good direction, the house is deemed suitable for him. Also, because he is the breadwinner, the rest of the family will also indirectly benefit from it. 2. The bedrooms should fall in the suitable direction for each of the other family member. ie yourself and daughter should have a room that is suitable for them to benefit from using the room. 3. Then choose sleeping/study/work positonin the better directions within the room itself. So if you based on the above principles, is is not difficult to apply the above principles for each family member. Hope that helps. If the renovations are not major enough, it may not be enough to fly over to period 8. However, in most cases, you can still do a symbolic fly over by repainting the entire house, and having at least 3 major celebrations to attempt to fly it over.
