Dear GG Mart, gg mart wrote: BIG help needed for 2007...I just charted my NW2 Ch'ien home for 2007 and I have a 5,7,6 combination in the NE sector with the yearly visting Yellow number 5 as well...in fact on the NEW Year Feb 18, the visting monthly star is a 5 also....What should I do to cure this area? Please help! Basically, the stars have 7/6 which represents weak metal/Strong Metal. So it should be enough to control the Earth Star. However, with the entrance of the second Star 5 from the yearly star. Solution:- 1. Additional Metal may still be needed to control the star 5. So best to keep this area white. One way is to add the 6 coins with red string to strengthen this sector for the current year. 2. Waterelement is also necessary to help exhaust the star 7 which is an inauspicious star that is yet to be controlled. So some light blue colour may also help. Water feature may not be appropriate as there is not auspicious water star that is available to be activated. 3. You must avoid Earth (bright yellow) or Fire (bright red) in this sector of the house. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for applied Feng Shui Research
  2. Dear Mark, Mark Thornhill wrote: I have a 4m 7b 8w combination at the front door and I am so very confused as to what to activate. I have read Eva Wongs book and she says that I should concentrate on relationship between 7b and 8w. However, Stephen Skinner says that 4m and 8w should be concentrated on? Generally, there are many rules in flying star application. The easiest what I can advise you is follow these rules:- 1. You should always consider how the 3 element interact with each other and which is auspicious/inauspicious. 4 (weak Wood) 7 (weak Metal) 8 (weak Earth) In period 8, star 4 is average, star 7 is inauspicious, star 8 is auspicious. So the best solution to improve the luck for this sector is to control the inauspiciou star 7.Adding water which exhaust the metal and activate the water star 8. So you immediately benefit from enhancing the water star 8. The interaction with moutain and water star is can help you give the interpretation of what problems is present in the sector. The interation with the base star is necessary to see what is the major influence, but more important it is used to check against the yearly star. So just focus on the balance of the 3 elements, where you try to control the inauspicious star and boost the aupicious star. Thensee whether it is is good to activate the auspicious moutain or water star. Basically, for most novice, this would be the best advice to follow. Hope that helps. 3. Dear Chun Hao Wang, Chun Hao Wang wrote: I have a question about putting paintings of dragon and tigers in my room. I recently bought two beautiful paintings of a dragon and a tiger. I decided to hang them up in my room. However, when my mother saw it she said it is very bad to hang up dragons and tigers in your room. She told me only emperors can do that. It is very bad for me to do something like that since I am born in the year of the pig. Actually, it is best not hang any painting that contains fierce looking creatures/animals. For a very simple reason, because they contain a lot of Sha Qi. It is ok to hang any auspicious/happy loooking paintings as it just brings about a nicer feeling. So I do have to agree with your mum on it. Chun Hao Wang wrote: I don't know what I should do. I thought dragons are suppose to protect me and tigers are suppose to give me strength. Can you tell me what I should dofrom a feng shui perspective. Thank you very much! On the Chinese Horoscope, Pig clashes with Snake and harms with Monkey. So the horoscope signs does not really conflict with you as a pig. Rabbit and Ram are best horoscope compatibilitymatch for a Pig. Dragon / Tiger isn't the best match for a Pig. They are average at best. So since the Dragon/ Tiger does not clash withyou, as long as the picture isn't too fierce looking, and if you really like it should still be ok to be displayed in study/office or anywhere where you need want to show that you have authority. However, not good for bedroom, because Tiger and Dragon are considedYang. And the bedroom should be yin (for resting) Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  4. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hi, I am very interested in this unit but it is almost unavoidable to give the place a fresh coat of paint, renovating the bathroom (hacking the tiles) and not to mention the possibility of knocking down a part of the kitchen wall. However, by doing that, it will bring the house number from a good period to period 8, which was interpretated as 'vomitting'. Is there a way to curb this? The house do really need some renovation. Also, is this 'vomiting' referring to physical vomiting or more than that? Thanks! The apartment number analysis is an extension of the flying star analysis to help determine between two unit number which one is more auspicious. For Apartment, you either have auspicious or inauspicious house number. That is about it. Anyway, for auspicious number, there are so many other methods to assess it. Such as by the sounding ie #08-888, would likely sound better even if the apartment number analysis isn't that great. So the interpretation does not really for the house unless that interpretation is present for the flying star sector of the house. So you really do not need to worry about it. Since you are doing renovation, it is more important to ensure that if your house is a period 7 (1984-2003), then a major renovation may change the house luck. So if it does, then you need to ensure that the bad sectors are neutralised. While the good water star or mountain star is activated to increase the luck for the house. Hope that helps. I also try not to use my front door as best I can. However, my chime is making a lot of noise and I am afraid of disturbing my neighbours (I live in a patio home) so I stuff each chime with some cotton to stop the ringing.... please help - is that ok? How else can I 'cure' my front door facing stairs/to back door ailment? Thank you so much!! The problem is the Qi leak directly out the door as well the sha qi from the flight of steps. The Qi leak to the back door can be solved by keeping the door close and ensure the door do not contain any see through window design. I do not believe that the wind chime would be the best solution for this problem. Like you mentioned, it is noisy. The best solution is to kind of screen/parition to block the Qi from going straight through from the door to the back of the house. So the more appropriate solution is to have a partition that blocks this qi leak, either before the stairs. But I am not sure if you really have space to install this just before the stairs. If not, another way is to have some kind of screen door before your door, or a kind of wooden garden fence thatcrawling plants creap andclimb on to installed at the patio before your door. This will block some of the qi leak. Also, it looks nice to have greenery at the frontage. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

What cures can you recommend that I can do please. Unforuntely, the only solution is to position the bed in another better position if possible. Since you can't, then there is nothing much you can do abou this bed position. What I can suggest is that you work on correcting other areas that you are able to correct. Such as choosing the right bedroom colour, the right colour scheme for your bed sheets etc. ie. if you are a weak wood, then favourable colours are Water (blue/black/gray) / Wood (green/brown) colours. This will at least boost your ba zi luck to compensate from the inauspicous sleeping position/direction. Remember, that when applying colour scheme to your room and where you are not aware of the flying star influencing the room, avoid bright red/bright yellow and try to choose light pastel colours (ie off-white) or very light tones. As Metal is often the solution for any bad illness/misfortune star 2/5 (Earth star). So any light colours willbe mixing white (metal). Hope that helps. However now my cubicle is located at the NE corner which is the Irritation corner according to my birth info. I tried looking for another area but every other cubicle is occupied. What should I do? I really need your help! Hopeful, Frankly, when you are working for a company and do not hold key positions in the company. It will be hard for you to apply feng shui or pick the best placement for you. In this case, for eight house irritation direction. Not much you can do unless you can choose another available working position or unless another office table is free. So what I can advise you is to try to at least wear more favourable colour clothings to boost your ba zi luck. This will help to offset facing a less suitable direction. The rest is to ensure that other areas that you can control. Such as if you drive, ensure your car colour is favourable to you. And improve your own home's luck, which will help you in your career as well. Beyond that, not much else you can do as you are not likely to be able to paint the walls in the room to suit you etc. Hope that helps. Frankly, such a house that falls in the exact degree between two directions are often not auspicious because, it is like neither here or neither there. One way that most masters will suggest is to embbed a metal ruler/frame around or at the bottom/top of the floor in such a way that when you use a read a compass standing at the door area, it will shift and point towards the more favourable direction. Anonymous wrote: Also, what is the solution if various pa kua sectors of a dwelling include more than one room -- i.e., if a wall separating the livingroom and bedroom is running through the middle of a pa kua sector? I mean where you divide the room. Often there will be one sector that covers more of the important features in the room. Say the bedroom. If when you divide the room, the bed falls in the sector or is covered more by one sector, that will be the sector that we consider having the more influence over. The sector covering say the toilet or the wardrobe will not be the sector that will hold most influence in the room. Anonymous wrote: If a sector is split by such a wall, does one consider the wall as the dividing line of the sectors -- instead of using the actual compass direction? When we divide the layout for assessment. We try to find the sector that covers most part of that room. Then apply the solutions or cures accordingly. It is not necessary that the dividing sector will fall exactly on the wall. So some part of that room may contain other influence. For example if the room falls under North-East/East. If a greater part of the room falls under North-East, we focus on the North-East as the major influence in that sector. Only when you try to activate the sector's moutain or water star, then you try to position the cures/solution as close to that direction such as if the water star is North sector. Then the water feature is best located close to where True North (0 degree sector). Otherwise, for room colours, you choose the sector that is covers most part of the room. Hope that helps. Frankly, it is better you seek professional consultation services as there are so many factors to consider. So much so that no one can just simply tell you what is best or right for your plot of land without considering all the factors. So it is best you get someone to advise you based on your plot of land and the family members that will be staying in the place. Anonymous wrote: I'm trying to find the answer for these key issues: 1. What is the best Facing orientation/direction of the house (I'm the breadwinner of the house)? Why is it the best direction? 1) The best facing should be one that:- 1a)will enjoy the right choice of open space for your frontage and the best moutain support for your home. 1b) it should also be positioned such that you get the auspicious flying star facing. Such as Westgroup person may consider North-East/South-West facing for period 8, while East house group may consider South/East facing for period 8. 1c) In addition, to the best direction for the flying star, you also have to consider that the facing direction does not fall under the Death or Disaster sector for the breadwinner. This has to be considered together with point 2, orsome form of compromise is needed to get the optimium direction. 1d) Where possible, the best direction is one that fits both your eight house and ba zi element. Or where it is not possible, then at least avoid Death/Disaster sector. 1e) The breadwinner will need to have the house most suitable to him. While the rest of the family member, should have the a room suitable to them. It may not be possible to get a house direction that can fit all family members. So priority for house facing should first go to breadwinner of the house. Anonymous wrote: 2. Should the room selection (placement) be done according to Flying stars or 8 House? If by both, which is more important or has priority over the other? 2. The room placement should consider first who will be using the room. So you should locate the room:- 2a) The room should be located in the best sector favouring that family member that will be using the room. 2b) Find the room that has least illness/misfortune sector once you have determined which sectors are available to locate the room in point 2a. 2c) Layout the room and door entrance, such that you can position the bed to the best sleeping position of for the occupants. 2d) Rooms that are not so useful such as toilet/storeroom/garage/yard are best located where the flying stars of that sector is bad. So that other good sectors can be available for living room/dinning room/master bedroom/office/bedrooms. Anonymous wrote: 3. Should I choose the Facing direction of the house as the direction that gives the best Flaying Stars analysis? I mean, both South and South-east are auspicious direction for me but an 8 Period house facing South-east is "Good for Health Good for Wealth" and a house facing South is "Double Facing" or "Double sitting" only? I believe I have given you a guide in my point 1. A good house if it does not suit you will not bring you the best amount of luck. So sometimes you need to compromise to get a fairly good direction and also a suitable direction, and that the plot of land allows that kind of layout. A few traditional Feng Shui Masters have stated their views that there should not be any changes with respect to people living in the South Hemisphere. We also believe there is really no need to make any special alternation to the feng shui analysis. Actually, the seasons in the South is still the same as in the North. Only difference it that it is more like it is there is a time lag of6 months apart. For example, in the Northern hemisphere, the Winter is in Dec. But in the South the winter comes only in Jun. So the fundamental of the five element principle remains the same because it is not like the seasons are reversed or anything. It is stillSping - So the fundamentals in the five element and seasons will still remain the same. Furthermore, the purpose of like the ba zi to determine the luck of a person, is actually more to determine the balance of the person (how weak or strong he/she is ie weak water, neutral water or strong water). Ultimately, the analysis is will balance itself of because of the way the five element and yin and yang concept was formed. Hope to hear from you soon, thanks. You cannot correct a suitablity problem. A suitability sector is for you to assess whether it is good for a person to make use of that room or not. So you can only opt to use or not to use it if it is really bad. Spook and Irritation are not as bad as death or disaster sector. So they are still rooms that you can use. Just make sure that, when you find the rooms for the rest of your family members, you locate the one which is most suitable or at least not the two worst direction death/disaster sector. The two things you can do improve the luck are:- 1. If it is possible try to locate the sleeping position / study positon. For sleep position, the head points to the good sector. ie if North is favourable, then head should point North, while feet should point South. For study position, you should sit facing the good direction. ie if North, then you sit facing North. 2. The next thing is do is choose the most favourable colour that suits the ba zi element. For example,a weak wood person, favours water (blue/black/gray) or wood (green/brown). Remember to try to choose light pastel colours (off-white) andmust be extra careful when choosing brightred/bright yellow. This is because if you do not consider the flying star, these colours can activate the Illness/Misfortune star 2/5 (Earth element) in the sector. Why? Simply because so many factors are not know, ie the parent's date and time ofbirth (to check whether the baby element can also bring luck to parents) and how suitable the baby will be to the parents etc. Without allfactors being considered, any advice given may not be correctly given. And could result giving you the wrong advice and instead of helping any result in more harm or problems. I advice on the general ba zi analysis (not considering any other factors) for the day16 Feb 2007 on a boy. The day seems generally auspicious luck for baby boy. But need to be careful of unbalanced five element charts for certain hours which may mean potentially higher health problems. Which is the better hour, that one you will need to assess in detail, and also need to consider what types of characteristics the parents hold more important for the baby to have. If it falls in your bedroom, then you activate the mountain star. Please note that water star can only be activated in clear space. And Mountain star can only be activated where there is a mountain or a room.Often, you can only activate one as the requirement for activation does not allow activating both. As a Strong Earth, this normally means that Metal,Wood and Water (your wealth) are generally your favourable elements. I am not sure what is the exact percentage of the elements based on your ba zi. But the best element you should go for is based on which of the 3 elements (Metal/Water/Wood), you have least percentage. That will mean that that element is the most useful element for you. For example, Metal 30%, Water 10%, Wood 15%. If this is your percentage, then Water element is most favourable for you, followed by Wood, then Metal element. Then even though Metal element is one of your favourable element, you benefit more from Water element rather than Metal element. However, where you are not aware of your ba zi element percentage, then I would have to say that Metal or Wood and Water elements are generally your favourable element. As a Strong Earth, Metal helps to keep exhaust the excess Earth, while Wood destroy Earth. Water will help to control your Fire that produces Earth. So based on the above, you can choose to go into Metal/Wood/Water element careers. You can refer to this link for more information about five element and career:- URL: http://talk.geomancy.net IT related falls generally Metal/Water element. But also depends on what you do exactly. For example, if you are dealing more in programming than it is more Water. If you deal in hardware it could be metal. If you deal in marketing IT service, it can be more fire element. 24. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I am keen to buy a 10 year old condo unit and would like to redo the entire kitchen and bathrooms. By doing this, I understand that the apartment will fly from period 7 to 8. The problem is, the unit number is good for period 7 but bad for period 8. Period 7 : Prosperity, good wealth. Period 8 : Vomiting. Is it possible to prevent from flying to period 8? Please advise. Thanks. Regards. Usually, once you have any major renovation, it will usually automatically fly over to the new luck period. So, in your case, it may be difficult to retain the existing period. In fact, in such cases where you plan to have major renovations, you should be looking for a house that has good period 8 house luck rather than a house that has good period 7 house luck. Furthermore, once a house is old, there will definately be future repair work which needs to be done. Which makes it even harder to retain the existing luck. So it is better to look for a period 8 house, if you plan to have major renovation. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  25. Dear Blue, blue mistz wrote: What is signified by a clash? Quarrels? Difficulties? There are 4 different levels of conflict and ranked in different level lf severity:- 1) Clash being the worst tends to be a conflict/quarrels between two. Just like say water and fire cannot co-exist. 2) Harm is next where there is some minor quarrels or issues that both may not see eye to eye or some obstacles that will get in the way. 3) Punishment is where there is things just won't go smoothly. 4) Self-punishment is like things very minor hiccups that will occur such that you cannot get a perfect result no matter how hard you try. So clash betwen the day pillar means your elements are in conflict. Just like when fire meets water, fire is exhausted by water. But this clash even though not good, can still harmonised by having element that smoothen the relationship. For example having wood can help act as a bridge. Resulting in less friction. You have to weight every aspect to determine how compatible a couple is. It does not mean that just because there is a clash both couples will confirm quarrels. How bad or whether there other other many minor clashes can further determine can make this clash better or worst off. So normally, you have look at it from all aspect. blue mistz wrote: Can two people with not so compatible chart get along? I am dog, while he is goat. Is there still ways to improve the harmony? In general, the dog and goat does isn't a horoscope that clash. So the only incompatibility is the element signs. So this tell me that it is not an incompatible pair. Five element clash can be harmonised by a common element favourable to both element. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
