  2. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: My daughter is a weak wood monkey. Is career of accountancy, finance andbusiness suitable for her? Weak Wood generally means that your daughter generally lack either more water or more wood or lack an equal amount of both elements. So in general, water/wood element careers are more suitable. You can refer to this link for the five element and career:- URL: http://talk.geomancy.net Accountancy/Finance is more Metal which may weaken the wood. So not so suitable. Business is broad category. For example if your business deals with tecnology it is wood. If your business deals in Music it is water element. So it really depends on what business you are talking about. Hope that helps. 3. Dear David, Teo Tai Wei David wrote: I have read up some article on feng shui that it is not advisable to keep aquarium in the bedroom and I am currently keeping 5 fighting fishes as pet. I have remove it and place it at my kitchen near my washing machine now. They are all housed in small jars with no pump and running water and thus the aquarium is a still water condition. Would they affect my house feng shui? Thank you. If you like it, there is no harm keeping fishes as pets. The only issue, is that such water feature especially large aquarium should not be keep in the bedroom. The reason is rather logical also, you see water in the fish tank tends to give off certain fishy/chlorine smell which may affect the quality of the air in the bedroom. Just like if you put plants in the bedroom, it also fights for oxygen at night. That is why big fish tank/water feature should not be placed in the bedroom. Onesmall bowl type fish bowl type, should not be a major issue as it is unlikely to affect thewhole room. But too many will not be a good idea best tobe placedin other areasthat is notused as bedroom. Generally, small indivial bowls of water typeprobably not big enoughto be considered amajor water feature. So not likely to affect your feng shui. However, if you are concerned, try to placed the individual bowls at section of the housethat will benefit from a water feature such as where there is the auspicious water star 8 if in period 8 house. 5. Dear Ann, Ann Loo wrote: Would like your advice on whether to base the kua number on birth gender + Identity card gender or to base on the prefered gender as the person thinks, behaves and has undergone partial surgery to the prefered gender? Please help as the kua numbers are total opposite for the 2 genders of the same date of birth. Thank you To be frankly, such question can be controversial depending on how you look at it. Personally, for megiven that all the feng shui concepts such as ba zi/eight house is to chart like your luck and suitability. The information is based assessed based on the gender, date and time of birth from when you are born. So I would have to say that it should be the original gender that a person is born with. But on the other hand, after a gender change, you will also be able to experience something that your previous gender is not able to experience. So that will have some impact on your overall luck. However, from feng shui assessment, since concept like ba zi is all about the heavenly given luck. So it is about the luck that is given to you when you are born. So I have to say thatshould such situation arise, it is still best to take thegender you are born with as you primary luck but with the open mind that your luck may still be different in some ways. 6. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hi, I did the pillars comparisons report for my boyfriend and I. I do not really understand what it means. What does it mean by : 'Heaven Stem Clash between day pillar (xin) & day pillar (yi).' I am a strong metal and he is a weak wood. Your insights are greatly appreciated. It simply means that the two ba zi chart's pillar clashes. In this case, the two heavenly stem of the day clashes with each other. Under the comparison rule, day to day or year to year clash often signify more a more major form of clash. At least when you compare that to say a hour to year or month to month clash. You see the day pillar influence the element of the day. While the year pillar influence your horoscope sign. So often when the day pillar clash, it means that the two elements are likely to conflict with each other such as water and fire elements.Horoscope signs can also clash with each other such as the Snake and Pig. In your case, metal destroy wood. So the element conflict with each other. Furthermore, you are a Strong Metal amd he is a weak wood. So the clash is even more obvious as you make him even weaker. If at least you are a weak Metal, and he is a Strong Wood, the clash is actually not as bad because the weak Metal helps to keep the strong wood in check. So based on this factor, it shows a not so compatible chart. However, as long as the horoscope signs do not clash as well, then there are still ways to improve the harmony. Such as having more Water element as a common binding element to improve the harmony between the two. As water will exhaust the excess metal and make weak wood stronger. Hope that helps. 7. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: May I know if the Bazi concept can be applied to a company? I mean can we tabulate the company's own Bazi chart based on its incorporation date? If yes, how should we treat its gender? Not likely. This is because ba zi is supposed to chart a person's given luck at the time of birth. However, a company's luck is influenced more on the business model and economics of demand and supply. So the ba zi chart which is supposed to predict the type of luck given is not likely to be suitable to be applied to business. In fact, feng shui has only a small overall role in overall business. And most of the time is the EarthLuckfactor. Such as the location of theshop / office, or the layout of the shop / office. The rest of the success depends on the business itself. So I would have to say thatusing the ba zito calculateacompany's luck is not likely to work. Hope that helps. My friend told me that tattoos will change a person's luck, so I am concerned and unsure if it will be a good idea to get one for myself. I'm born in 1985 and a female. I would appreciate it if an expert could clear my doubts and I am open for suggestions and comments. Thank you very, very much Yours truly, Yvonne Frankly, tattoos have always been assocated with negative or bad stuff (such as gangs etc). Of course, recently tattoo have been more of an art. However, the negative aspects often seems more apparent thanpositive aspects. When we talk about feng shui, we often want to have positive or good luck on your side. So it would of course seems like it would not be a wise thing to have. Even when it comes to a person's facial features, there is an art of face reading/palmistry etc which determines a person luck. So I would have to say that if there are changes to your body, it is more likely to affect your overall luck in some way. As mentioned, since tattoo has negative aspects, so it is more likely that it will bring about adverse impact from my opinion. And is there a particular position (if possible) the dragon should be in order for it to be good feng shui? I mean so far tatoo has always been associated with bad things. So really, even though there isn't anything about feng shui and tattoo. It would seem more like it a tattoo will more likely bring about bad influence rather than good influence. So not likely to see what good luck it will bring. Anon wrote: And is there a particular position (if possible) the dragon should be in order for it to be good feng shui? Frankly, under feng shui, the dragon is considered one of the fierce creatures available. So normally, it is unwise to keep or have pictures/figurines of dragons. Especially, if they are very fierce looking type.Usually, most pictures or representations of dragons are used to ward off any sha qi if any. Even in the past, theChinese Emperor is the only person allowed to wear clothings with dragon pattern. Showing how Dragon is usually represents a person with lots of power and authority. Now a days, dragon figurings are readily available due to art work or even when it comes to the year of the dragon. So really, not a that of a big issue but still need to be care about those fierce looking ones. From Feng Shui point of view,a dragon is very strong or very yang related. So unless a person ba zi is strong enough to handle dragon, may not be wise to have it. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Paula Ribeiro, paula ribeiro wrote: With so many companies going through mergers and layoffs, what are some feng shui tips that we can use to protect us in keeping our jobs and stability within the company? Sorry, but I do not believe feng shui can be of much help here simply because of the mechanics of how mergers works. I mean the people that get laid off from mergers, tends to be the company that is being bought over. Especially if you are on the company that is being bought over, the chances of being able to retain your position is less unless you possess very important skills or possess an indisposable asset to the company buying you. Feng Shui can only do so much as to bring as much luck to business. The rest of the success depends a lot on the business model. If the business model is flawed or doomed to failure, no amount of feng shui can revive it. So that is why you there are nothing about feng shui about merger and layoffs. Instead, relying on continously upgrading yourself will make you more valuable to your company or allow you greater flexibility to find better prospect job. On a personal level, feng shui of your own home and boosting up luck on your ba zi, can make sure your overall luck is good. Once luck around you is good, then things are not likely to go bad so easily. Or at least you will be able to focus your time and effort in finding good prospects for yourself. Hope that helps. If the owner is upgrading, of course it means that the house feng shui is likely to be good, else if they selling because of problems then not likely to have good feng shui qi. It is really hard to fix it except to minise the use of the room if possible. Here are some of the other areas you should look at to attempt to compensate the luck from other factors:- 1) If possible locate the bed facing a direction that is favourable for your sleeping position. So even if the room is not so suitable, at least you benefit from the better sleeping position. 2) If the room is located where the direction is favourable to your ba zi. Or, if at least the house is suitable to the breadwinner, thenwill already minmise the effect of the unsuitable room. 3) Check your ba zi element and determine which colours will benefit both of you. Then try to have the room in that colours to boost your luck from your ba zi. This will also help to offset the unsuitable bedroom. Just take note of using colours such as Bright Yellow/Bright Red if you are not aware of the flying star sector in the room. 4) Fix up other correctable leaks in the home (if any that you are able to correct) to further offset or improve the luck. Where you cannot correct one problem, then you need to see if you can gain luck from other areas. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

True Traditional Feng Shui is nothing but understanding your own heaven luck, earth luck and human luck. a) Heaven Luck iswhat kind of luck you are born with andhow you canrelate yourself to your environment. (ie whether your luck is good or bad, whatcolours/career/directionbest fits you). b)Earth Luck is your home and surrounding environment.Your home especially has the greatest influence to your overall luck.So finding a house that is suitable orhave the best feng shui Qiis important. c) Human Luck is your relationship and hardwork. The relationship you have with people can influence your career (ie good relationship withyour boss can ensure smooth career). Your own hard work is also important. There is really nothing more than ensuring youpicked the righthouse direction thathas good Qi, suitable to you, favourable colours, best placement of furnitureetc. At most finding the right position to have water featurein your landscaping to trap and activate wealth. Otherwise, there is no need for any of the so call feng shui items that are being sold by some sellers. Most of these items do not not really have any mircle powers. They are more decorative items that appears or have symbolic meaning that is being promoted as it can really enhance feng shui. But in reality, it does not. All these items do help is make you feel better which helps you only in your human luck. ie making you feel good that the item can bring you luck. So properfeng shui does not rely on items being sold or promoted. As such, sites that sell or promote these items usually are not really promoting feng shui. They are just selling the items to make profit as they often buy the items very low cost from China, and put a price tag such as $888. Such items will only benefit the seller and not the buyer. 17. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: first of all excuse me for my english. I'd like to ask a question, what is the most important, the gua element (gua 2 = earth for me) or the ba zi element ( weak fire). I like very much earth colors, my bedroom is painted yellow, do I weaken my ba zi element ? The Gua is based on your YEAR of birth only. While Ba Zi is calculated against the date and time of birth. Therefore, the element that you should be taking yourself as should be your ba zi element. Therefore, you are a weak fire person. A weak fire, person generally lacks either wood or fire. While Water or Earth tends to weaken your fire.Metal is your wealth but as a weak fire you are not strong enough to benefit it. So you willnot be your favourable elementsunless you have more wood/fire to strengthen your weak fire. This is the general favourable/unfavourable based on the fact that youare a weak fire. However, a weak fire can be due to having lack more wood or fire. (for example, if a person has 20% Wood, 5% Fire, so this tells me that this person lacks more fire than wood). Alternatively, if you have too much water (50%), this may also be a cause that makes you too weak. So often you need to know the percentage breakdown of your five element to be able to determine what elements you need more or less. Sometimes, you may be a weak fire, but if Earth is lacking in your chart, you may benefit from having some Earth when you have sufficient of wood/fire. This is what we often call the balance of the five element and how you can fine-tune the chart to your advantage. This portion is available for the paid ba zi users to fine-tune. But where the balance of the five element percentage is not known, then you based on the basics of the five element. Weak Fire = generally needs more wood/fire. While Earth/Metal/Water should not have too much. It does not mean you should not have it at all, just that you need to make sure you do not have too much. Remember, the key is balance. The ideal is to have exactly 20% of each five element to attain perfect harmony. The only additional point I want to add is that Earth (Yellow) is often a tacky colour to have in the house. Especially so for Bright Yellow/Bright Red. This is because most of the flying star illness/misfortune stars are often prone to activation if the room is painted in these colours. So you need to be extra careful. If these colours are to be choosen, make sure it is the light off-white colour (ie light cream/light pink if any). If you know the room sector has star 2/5 then avoid these colours to be safe. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  18. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I am born in Western calendar 6/23/1982 on a free report it shows my element as Fire on others it shows that my element is Water for all 1982. Can someone explain? 1982 is a Water dog year. So if you take the year of birth as a basic element you are born in a water element year. However, in ba zi, we take the day of birth as your true element of the day. Meaning to say that you are born in the Fire day in a Water year. This is because even in the year, there can be a water/wood/fire/earth/metal element person. So that day element represents the most accurate form of the element of birth. So you are essentially a Strong yin Fire born in the Water dog year. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Just wondering, If my brother's place has very bad Fengshui (or is bad based on my ba-zi), while my new house has ok fengshui, how will my luck be affected? Will my luck be baddue to me spending the majority of my time at my brother's place, as compared to if I stay majority of thetime at my new place? Feng Shui cannot be operated by remote control. This means that the house or place you stay is where your luck will come from. Since you spend most of your time at your brother's place, that house's luck will have most impact on you. Since you stay in your new house only during the weekends, it is not considered more a temporary location just like if you check into a hotel. Only when you stay in the new house most of your time after you move it, then your luck will come from your new home. Lawrence Lim wrote: If my brother's place has very bad Fengshui (or is bad based on my ba-zi), while my new house has ok fengshui, how will my luck be affected? Will my luck be baddue to me spending the majority of my time at my brother's place, as compared to if I stay majority of thetime at my new place? As for whether your brother's house will affect you, depends on whether the room you stay in currently, is it favourable for you or not. As you are not the breadwinner of your brother's house, you are considered only an occupant or part of the family member that stays in the house. So the room that you stay in is what will affect whether it is good or bad for you. So if you stay in room falling under your prosperity sector of the house, then it is favourable for you. The flying star which affects all occupants of the house. As long as any bad sector is corrected, then you will not be too adversely impacted by it. If not even if the room is suitable for you, but if the Qi of the house is bad, then you will of course be influenced by it. Hope that helps. Sleeping position (ie head should not point to the death/disaster sector). b) Theflying star of her room whether it contains star 2/5 (Strong Earth). You can also put those HEPA/Plasma IonAir cleaner there to help neturalise anyviruses that may be causing it. That is also a modern form of Metal element. Make sure the room colour do not contain Bright Yellow/Bright Red. c) Check that there is no sha qi created from sharp corner of the wall/furniture that is arranged in such a way that it cuts her bed. Yes, where the road is blocked and not passable to the other housing road, it is considered a dead end. However, it should not be a major problem because your house is not located at the end of the dead end road. If your house is located at the end of the dead end, you will have the road as a sha qi into the house. So that will then be inauspicious. However., your house is considered located at the side of the road. So there is no sha qi from the road into the house.
