Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: How do we determine the wealth corner of a house and then to enhance the wealth luck? The wealth in every house is always different and is always changing depending on the time period. The only way to determine where is wealth is to use the Flying Star analysis. Identify where is the auspicious water and mountain star. Then activate the sectors accordingly. ie if this is a period 8 house, then star 8 in the water star position determines your current water wealth luck location. So this is the best position to activate water wealth luck by some water feature for example. Make use of the free flying star report in our member area to help you make this assesment:- URL: http://login.geomancy.net Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hi Master Lee, what element is a piano? Is it considered woodelement (because the outercasing and the keyboardis made ofwood)or metal element (because of the metalstrings inside) or water element(because it produces music)? In general, piano by itself is a furniture, depending on the material it is made the type of element can vary. However, when you use it to play music than the action is Water because it produces music. There isn't a real auspicious or specific feng shui location for piano location. It should be treated just as part of a furniture and place where it is most appropriate. ie usually close to the living room area for everyone/guest to enjoy especially if it is a Grand Piano (which not only looks good but also for everyone to enjoy the music played). Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Andy, Andy Dai wrote: Thank you for your advice. Is counselling being a job of water or wood element? I am trying to find a new job that will actually benefit me in both water and wood elements. Please advice. Counselling is a mixed of Water/Wood. Water is due to it requirying lots of listening (communication) while also action/healing in order to help solve the problem which is Wood. Dear Sean, Sean Lee wrote: Robert Lee wrote: To analyse the kua number without converting to the chinese calendar would be wrong. Regarding the Kua number, it seems similar to the Western numerology. E.g. 1966 = 1+9+6+6. Shouldn't we be calculating based on some Chinese year figure? Didn't I say that you must use the Lunar year in my above quote? This means you should be using 1965(the lunarbirth year)if based on my example and not the western year 1966 (rather than the western birth year). Dear Andy, Andy Dai wrote: Please advice me on which of the 5 element does Prison Officer belong to? Prison Officer is in general still law enforcement area so in general it is Fire element. But the role of a prison office is to enforce ensure that offenders are kept in check and attempting to make them realise they are wrong which is human relationship. So it has mixed Fire and Earth elements. So I would classing Prison Office as Fire-Earth. More fire with some Earth element. Hope that helps. Dear Shawn, SHAWN HO wrote: Hi, from your many replies, I come to understand thatelement of the house is based on the facing direction of that house. I am rather confused as the sitting of the house will determine the house kua and thus its element as we applythe Eight House Mansion Theory. Actually, we always determine the direction of the house from the facing direction of the house. Even when we apply our eight house what we often focus on is the facing direction rather than the sitting direction. This is because, to be practical, the sitting direction is often not very practical. This is because if you really want to apply the sitting direction, then you do it based on the location of you home. For example, if you are a weak wood person, water element is good for you, so a good location where your house should be located within Singapore would the Northern part of Singapore ie say in Yishun/Sembawang area. This is more practical and accurate than basing on the eight house which only based on your year of birth. However, even with this, the shapes and form factor will still be the ultimate determining factor. For example, in Singapore the better locations for homes tend to be in like Marine Parade and Bukit Timah, etc? This is because if based on the landscape of Singapore, these locations have good Dragon Qi. So by staying in such location, your luck will be boosted by these external shapes and form Qi. I am aware that there is some website that follow this principle if North is good for you, you should be sitting North and facing South. However, the most important is where the Qi enters into the house. So our definition and what most other FS masters agree is the house should face the good direction so that the Qi entering in the house comes from the Good direction ie. If house faces North, and North is excellent, your excellent Qi will be entering into the house from the North. This is far more practical than having to sit at your good sector and facing the bad direction. So as far as our website is concerned, we are interested in where the Qi enters into the house. Meaning if we say facing North we want the good Qi from the North to enter into the house from the North. And apply the best location based on your eight house element on which part of the country would you get the best amount of luck. What is important for us is to face the good direction and have the Qi enter into the house from these good direction. The location factors (ie stting position), is better to get a good location or a location favourable to your element. These are what determines good location and not really the sitting position. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Sherry, Sherry Shao-To wrote: A couple of years ago we heard some strange noises on the top of our roof above our master bedroom. At first we thought it could be mice, but realized they were birds. We figured they had built a nest up there and my husband wanted to get rid of it. Well, it's a two story house and even with a 10 ft. ladder, the roof was far from reach. Therefore, we just ignored it and eventually it went away. Well, this year the birds came back and made their home at the exact same placeon our roof above the master bedroom again. I can't see them because it's so high.So I'm curious does it have a meaning and are these birds good luck or bad luck. Should I have to worry about these annoying birds? Thanks for your time. In general, whenever there are any living creatures that love to stay in your home, this often means that your home has good Qi (or able to sustain life). So this is a good thing to have in most cases if it does not affect your life in any way. But having too much or when the creatures creates problem or affect the people living in the home, then it is not ideal and should be removed or relocatedelsewhere. For example if the bird create too much noise affecting your sleep then this becomes a bad thing for you. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Can Women luck overpowered by the husbands and vice versa? Yes, this is possible. You see, a person's luck is also affected by the luck of the family member providing for the family. It is also affected by the people around you. Say in a family, a husband & wife & 1 child. If the husband is the only person working to provide for the family, all the luck of the rest of the family falls on the husband. So even if the wife's luck is very excellent, but she is not the one providing for the family, then the luck is based a lot on the husband's luck. So if he does well, the family members will also in general benefit from him. The reverse is also true, when the wife is the main breadwinner, then the rest of the family will depend on that breadwinner. So in a family, the breadwinner role is important and thus it is why it is so important that the breadwinner must have a house that suits him so that he can draw as much luck from the house to provide for the ntire family. It is very possible to have luck overpowered by the other person. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Sean, Sean Lee wrote: Based on the East/West group theory, an East group person's favourable direction is N, E, SE and S. Let's talk about the North direction, how precise must this North be? Will 340degNNW be considered as North? When you talk about eight house, you have to ensure each direction is 45 degree. So This means North is between 337.4 to 22.4 degree. So 340 still falls under North. Sean Lee wrote: And will 20degNNE be considered as N or NE? Because if it is NE, then it will not be favourable to him (east person). 20 Degree still falls under North. Only if it is 22.5 then it is North-East. Sean Lee wrote: Secondly, I was wondering why do we use English calendar birth year to calculate the Kua number? I thought Fengshui is originally from China?? All feng shui concepts uses the Lunar Calendar for any analysis. So one must first convert the english calendar to lunar calendar before analysis. To analyse the kua number without converting to the chinese calendar would be wrong. This means that say if you are born on 1 Jan 1966, your lunar is actually 10 day 12 month 1965. So your kua number must be based on 1965 and not 1966. On our website, we do that conversion for you automaticallywhen you enter the english calendar. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: 1. My house does not have a southwest corner. Anonymous wrote: How do i minimise the affliction? 1. For the exterior, you can create some landscaping ie stone borders to create an extension. So that when you view the house from the top it covers the missing corner. 2. If not, the alternative is to put a concave bagua that is usually used for sucking and trapping wealth for such missing corners. If possible, option 1 is better, if really no choice then the option 2 will be the only other solution to correct such a missing corners. On the interior, you can extend the missing corners by creating a mirror wall to falsely extend the missing corner. Anonymous wrote: 2. Is it advisable for me to build a mini waterfall at the South East sector ( my garden is also located there ) as this is behind my house and facing my main gate entrance ? The only way to be able to determine the best location where you can activate water wealth is to determine where is the auspicious water star based on a flying star analysis. The other way is based on where the frontage is located, usually the frontage is the best place to put any water feature to create like open space and trap wealth before it leaks to another home (especially so for any houses on slopping hill). The other way is to place the water feature at the living room/garden frontage (this can be such that it is like in the back of the house as some houses will have a entrance frontage and a living room frontage.) As long as it is considered either your Living Room or where you can see it from the main entrance, those are generally the good place to have the water feature without considering the flying star. So sounds like the location you propose seems ok. You still have to check on the flying star to determine exactly where is the best place to activate water wealth. Dear Sam, Sam Seng wrote: I amworry when I do a 8 house report on my house and found that myhouse (living room window as we stay at 12floor)isfacing NE when standing in the center of the house. That sectorwas my wife death sector but prosperity for me (she earns more than me). If that's the case, how is it possible to cure? Do you think we need to relocate our house inorder to suite us? If i'm going to generate flying star report, whose Ba Zi to use, my wife or me?Appreciate your advise. Thanks in advance. It is important is how you apply the concepts according to what is important:- Eight House allows each individual to check whether a house is suitable or not. However, each family member will have different house facing, so it is impossible to get a house that has the frontage suitable to every family member. So for checking if a house is suitable or not, the most important is to ensure that the Breadwinner (the person providing forthe family) must have a house that suits him. This way he will get luck from the house, since the family member depends on him they will also benefit from him. The rest of the family should priority have a bedroom that is in their sector as their luck will be from the room they stay in. So whether or not the element is suitable to the wife, it does not affect her as much. Of course, if possible try to avoid a house that has the facing in either the Death or Disaster, if not at least a suitable bedroom is necessary to offset any inauspicious influence. So to answer your question, if the house is suitable to you and you are the breadwinner, then this question will not be a problem. However, it is not the most ideal house or what we consider a perfect house. So if the bedroom for your wife is at least favourable for you, therefore there isn't much for you to worry. For the flying star, you should be using yourself (if you are the breadwinner). Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Sean, Sean Lee wrote: Eg. what is difference between Weak Yang Wood vs Weak Yin Wood? Actually, yin and yang simply defines more the chracteristics of a person. For example, Yang type tends to be more aggressive and very like outgoing type, while Yin type tends to be more passive and very introvert ype. But ultimately depends on the overall yin and yang balance. Sean Lee wrote: Read that a Weak Wood should find a spouse that is Water or Wood. Does it mean I should find a spouse of Strong (Yang or Yin?) Water or a Strong (Yang or Yin?) Wood? To be frank, it is hard to find the most perfect partner. ie a weak wood person would best have a partner such as Strong Water partner. This is already a hard match to find. A perfect match would be to further match the yin and yang. For example a weak yin wood would be a perfect match to strong yang water. While a weak yang wood would be a perfect match to a strong yin water. Sean Lee wrote: Is a Weak (Yang or Yin?) Water or a Weak (Yang or Yin?) Wood just as good?? Yin and yang only defines the type or overall characteristics ie whether one is more introvert (ie yin) or more extrovert (ie yang). Weak or Strong of an element defines whether you lack more of your favourable or have too much of your favourable element. ie a weak water means you lack too little metal or water. While a strong water means you have too much of metal or water. Water/Wood type of element defines your overall classification within the five element. a weak water and weak wood does not mean a weak water is weaker or stronger than weak wood. They are just different types of element classification. So weak water and weak wood does not mean that one is better then the other. Each have their own characteristics. However, a weak water is beneficial to a weak wood, but a weak wood is bad for weak water. So this helps to define relationships between each person. Hope that helps. Dear Adeline, adeline tan wrote: Hi, I am also strong yang metal. Am currently working in a finance related job in the civil service and doing quite well. Wld I be more successful in my career if I switch to a more "wood" related type of job? thks! In general, you need to consider the overall factors. A strong metal will generally mean Water, Wood, Fire are generally your more favourable elements. So in that respect of course a Wood element related career would be better. However, in terms of career, you also need to have the proper qualification or skills in order to suceed. So it does not meant that the element favourable you to means it will bring you the best success. Also, it also depends a lot on the percentage of your element. Sometimes a person may be Strong Metal, but is strong due to lots of Earth compared to Metal, then even if you have some Metal career it does not mean it is completely bad for you. Especially, not so if you already have like your home as Water or Wood element house which helps to already make you more balance. The house especially will have adverse impact as the type of house you stay in can influence how your five element percentage will be. A Strong Metal person staying in a Water/Wood/Fire house, may already weaken the excess Metal, therefore, even if you have Metal career it will still bring you luck. This is the same as a weak metal, if you stay in a Earth facing house, so you draw strength from the house, therefore making you strong enough to even go for a career in Wood element (your wealth). So several factors need to be considered in order to know how good career will be. However, generally, if just based on your element Strong metal, then wood/water/fire career tends to bring you better luck than metal/earth career. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I am a weak yin water. from 30yo to 60yo the fire element is strong in my luck pillar so my wealth luck is against me these 30yrs! Please advise me how to grab my wealth... A person's luck is affected by your given heavenluck (ba zi), your home & surrounding (earth luck), and your relationship or your own effort (human luck). Having luck against you based on a general 10-year luck only tell me that you are not a person born of a silver spoon. So you need to work hard to attain success. To obtain wealth, you need to actually correct several areas:- Heaven Luck - ie understand when is your good years so that you can take advantage of it. Know what element you belong to so as to know what favours you etc (ie weak water means you generally lack metal and water so having more metal and water will generally boost your luck.) Since five element can be related to career, house, colours, direction. So the more areas in your life that belongs to your favourable element, the better your overall luck. Particularly, the type of house you stay in and career. Use this link to learn more about the five element and relationship:- URL: http://talk.geomancy.net Earth Luck - the house you stay in often can adversely influence your luck. So finding where is the wealth and correcting the problems in the house can boost your overall luck. Human Luck - the people around you and your own hard work will determine whether you suceed or not. ie having good relationship with your boss will ensure good career path, while good relationship with your family and friends will also make sure you can seek their help whenever you need them. So you need to really check all the above areas to see what areas you lack and therefore correct them in order to improve your overall luck. Since you had purchased our reports, for faster response, please e-mail us directly. Sometimes, if you post in the forum, may take a little more time because there are so many post. In general, if landed property, the best is to take take the facing of the house for a overview for assessing the external and interior of the flying star chart. ie your Fence with gate (looks to me like the frontage for your home). So for purpose of flying star, still this official frontage will be your main facing. So this should still be the frontage you use for your flying star. This chart will allow you to extend your application of the flying star to not just the interior but exterior (ie your entire plot of land). However, you can symbolically use the garage entrance as your official frontage if this where it is more favourable for you. In order to treat it as your frontage, this will mean that your house number must be placed here so that it looks like the front of the house. Clarence MitchellTeurman wrote: 1) Since we used the garage as our primary door, should I have run the report using the garage door? Like I mentioned, above, still for purpose of applying the external and interior flying star, the main frontage is still used.If you wish to use the garage frontage, then you need to put your official house number there so that when people pass by it looks like the front of the house. You should use the main garage entrance if you wish to use this as a frontage. Simply because this garage is considered part of the house due to the layout of the house. The only problem with this is usually the pillars will create poison arrow or sha qi. The best solution if you can build in some hidden cupboard space. This will hide the gap. The other method is to find way to cover or hide it. ie a simple curtain like or flat screen cover it will also work. As long as you can no longer see the threat, it no longer becomes a problem. Unless you hold a high position where you are given your own room, there is very little or much you can do to really enhance your luck in the limited office space you are given. So I would advise, that you focus on areas you have control:- 1. The house is the most important area that influence your luck signifcantly. So finding a good house that has good feng shui qi as well as suitable to you or has a bedroom suitable to you is very important. This ensure that you gain luck from the house you live in. 2. The next area is the career suitability also plays an important role. A suitable career will ensure that you gain luck. ie if you are a weak water and you have a career in the IT (Metal/Water), this will ensure that you gain luck when you work. 3. The colour of the room that you work in or sleep also will influence your given luck. The colour of the clothes or personal objects (car etc). Dear Aloysius Chia, Aloysius Chia wrote: Reason being if a person do not have a good chinese name (after analysis) but with good ba zi and staying in a good feng shui house, will his bad chinese name affect him. I have confusion over the above 3 combination as you may not have a good ba zi but a good feng shui house will assist you in many ways but will a good chinese name help too. A good name does help you in some way to boost up what you lack in your ba zi. However, it is not 100% necessary to bring you a great deal of luck change compared to the Feng Shui. A person's luck is affected by Heaven, Earth and Human luck. So my ranking would be:- 1) Earth Luck / Feng Shui (most important as this affects your earth luck, so a good house can influence your overall luck significantly even though your given heaven luck is bad) 2) Human Luck (relationship with others is next most important. As there is such thing as borrowing luck from another person. ie husband can draw strength from the spouse, or parents will draw strengthen from children etc). Most common is like if you have good relationship with your boss, your career path will be better than others. So this human luck I rank 2nd. 3) Heaven Luck / Ba Zi (this is given to you, so there is very little you can change right from birth except maybe your name.) The rest of the luck from this ba zi is how you can maximise and fully utilise the given luck. ie knowing when your luck is best to start work or going into the right career will influence this factor. So, this given luck is more like how you can maximise it. Thus, the name change is only 1 factor to this Ba Zi. Therefore, I rank the Name Change as least important given that it affected only a portion of your given luck. So a name change does not bring about a significant change compared to the Earth or Human luck. I can only rate it as it will help in a small way, but not significant enough compared to having a good home for example. Also, the hassle of a name change after a certain age, may outway the benefits you try to obtain from the name change. Hope that helps.
