  2. Dear Grace, Anonymous wrote: I have my waterstar8 in the NE sector of my home according to flyingstarchart. However I am doubtful inactivating it as it says in San He water method-Not to place water in northeast ,this being period8.Your advice One cannot just blinding activate a star without considering other factors such as the other stars in the sector or whether it is an appropriate asector or not. For example, if NE is not a living room or clear space, then you will not benefit from activating the water sar. Or if the other stars in the sector will in activate other bad stars, then it may not be beneficial to activate the sector. Though, in a house one might have the possibility to activatemountain star/water star etc. However, if they arenot appropriate to activate, thenyou can't benefit fromactivating it. So really need to see thestars in that sectorin relation to the layout before one can properly advise if activating thestar willhelp. 4. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I see that some feng shui masters advise that at least the door, the stove and the floors must be renovated or changed, and then you can consider the change of a period 7 House to period 8 House. A house qi will only change if there is significant renovation done. So if you have hacking of walls, or hacking of all the floortiles or removing the roof and rebuilding it. These are all clear signs of a change in Qi and immediately come into effect. Anonymous wrote: Some fengshui masters advise that as soon you paint the inside of your apartment, the apartment (house chart) already changed from period 7 to period 8. Is this true? Or if the building in which the apartment is paintedwithin a period 8 period is already considered a Period 8 apartment building? There is another symobolic luck change. ie. re-painting of the ceiling or entire house all in one go. Then having several major celebrations in the house can force the house to fly over. But the change will not be immediate. ie. if painting of the ceilling (especially) is not done in one go or only the external house was repainted. These alone will not cause the house to fly over to the new period. Most of these are considered minor repairing or touchup so it does not really change the qi. Hope that helps. 5. Dear Daniel, Daniel Ho wrote: I got a Solid Bronze Prosperity Pig with Gold Ingots and Jeweled Necklace and would to place it in my office desk for Wealth Luck. True feng shui has nothing to do with items at all. It is more about good location of the home/office, favourable colour scheme to balance up the room or your individual ba zi, best sitting/work/sleeping positionetc. Thus, a person luck is affected by the Heaven, Earth and Human Luck. Heaven Luck is luck that is given to you. Which is usually assesed by the ba zi to tell you what colours, what facing, and how to harmonise with another person. Earth Luck is your home/office. The location of the home/office is what can affect your luck given luck. So this often the most important factor. Human Luck is your relationship and anything that can make you feel good etc. Such items that you mentioned Solid Bronze Prosperity Pig are more symbolic represenation of good luck. And all it affects is the Human Luck. It only makes you feel you that is about all. It does not have special power or properties. Daniel Ho wrote: I'm not sitting in a single room office, but a big room sharing other colleagues. It happened that one of the empty corner of the desk is a southeast direction. And i would to place the Prosperity Pig there. Should the Pig head be facing me, or facing away from me (looking at SE direction) So if it makes you feel you, feel free to place it where you can see it. So really, there is specific placement involved for such items. If any, it would be to have the item face you when you work so that it is like the pig is wishing you wealth luck. Generally, you can follow these principles:- 1.If the items is small, then it should face you when you work. 2. If the item is bigger and usually for the whole familiy, then you place in like display area in the good sector or facing of the house so that it is like welcoming good luck into the home for everyone. 3. You only palce items in a specific direction such as Qi Lin or Bagua to block like sha qi etc. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  6. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: My Kua number is 3 and my husband Kua is no.5. What is the best direction to keep us harmony and blend well together. Pls advise. We normally do not use Kua number to determine compatibility between two person. Kua number is used more to determine your individual favourable directions. Each person, will have his own her own good direction, so you use that for the best direction for your own work/office position. 1. For a house - The breadwinner must have the best facing direction, then the spouse get a better bedroom. Try to ensure that at least neither facing or bedroom falls under one Death/Disaster for either person. So for example, your besthouse facingis one for example North-East (Excellent for husband, and Irritation for yourself), while a good bedrom located in East (excellent for yourself, and irritation for your husband). This way your husband get luck from the house, you get luck from the bedroom. 2. For bed placement - You should still follow the shapes and form principles, ie bed place where you can see the people entering into the room and have the bed anchored to a wall. Then if you have choice between two placement, then you can check to see which direction falls under either of your good directions while avoiding death/disaster for either person. 3. For other personal position - each of you can place the table or chair in the best direction that for individual person. If you do that, you will find the best balance for two person. As for increasing harmony etc, you will need to check on the ba zi element and find out what element is suitable to both person and try to have the bedroom colour in the common element so as to improve harmony. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  7. Dear Chong Fu Keong, Chong Fu Keong wrote: I am staying on the 10flr. Where do I take the reading of the compass direction. Centre of the hse facing the main door and at the centre of the door ( as seen your sample) or the balcony or living room In general, we have come up with some guidelines for the facing direction to make it easy to apply. For apartments (2nd - 7th level), you take the main door as your house facing. ie standing at the main door looking outwards. For apartments (8th level and up), you take the facing direction of the living room/balcony. ie stand inside your living room looking outwards. These two method give you facing direction which allows your flying star to be extended beyond your own home. Taking the main door from the center point is also another method, but that will mean you only assess the qi for the interior of the house only. So each is for different purpose. So you should just take the facing from the living room/balcony, depending on which has greater among of light entering the house since you are on 10 floor. Mostly it will be living room as that is where most light enters into the house for high floors. For those with a separate living room and balcony, then will need to see the layout plan to be able to confirm. Chong Fu Keong wrote: As my main door entrance is my dinning area, where else my living are hardly used window are close most of the time and balcony are open and also the dry yard. Is my dinning area a good location ? I believe most aparments now-a-days you will either see the dining area or living room once you enter the door. So not a big issue. As for whether the dining area is good, depends on the flying stars in that sector. Chong Fu Keong wrote: Why some FS said youcannot sleep in the direction that you are not aware of people coming in ? This is becase the reason why most bed should be place where you can see people entering in the room is to be able to react when there is thief entering into the room. Especially, in the past if you have the bed away, when someone wants to enter to assinate you, you will be able to see him coming to be able to react. At least this was how this theory was used for. In any case, this is still good to follow even in modern layout. Chong Fu Keong wrote: Is the cooker above the toilet OK ? even I have box up. How to remedy ? How about open shoe rack beside the main door. Don't get what you mean here a cooker above the toilet? You mean you put a cooker in the toilet? I mean a toilet is deemed to have most germs in the house, so why would you want to put a cooker in the toilet? As for the open shoe rack, it is ok as long as it is looks need any tidy. I mean there must be some place to organise the shoe. So it is fine even if it is open. However, to look nice and tidy, it is best that it is a covered shoe rack if possible. Of course, for frequently used shoes, it is fine to have some opened shoe rack for those. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  8. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: In my master bedroom, the headboard rests againstthe wall which also separates the toilet in guestbathroom? Is is acceptable to have the bedroom adjacent another room's bathroom? Would moving the bedinto a diagonal position help? In general, it is the location of the WC that is most important. If the headboard is placed on the wall that exactly where the WC is also located, then it is not very auspicious. Otherwise, if the WC is located away from the headboard, then it is not as bad. Of course, it is not as ideal. In general, the bed should be best still anchored to the wall. That means that it should be be left floating in the middle of the room. So as long as if you shift into a diagonal position and the bed is still anchored to a wall (or if you build some kind of hidden cupboard to fill up the space at he corner, then no issue at all. Most important is the bed has to be anchored as close to awall. This is for support purpose. Anonymous wrote: Any suggestions or advice on what couldhelp would be great! There are no fengshui books that address this particular problem. Thanks very much for your help. As mentioned, it is the location of the WC that is more important. Having a toilet located close to your room is not really bad. Otherwise, there won't be a masterbedrom with attached toilet. It is just that the WC location should not be located directly behind the bed sharing the same wall. Unless there is another place where you can place the bed, there is nothing much you can do except to keep the toilet cover down when not in use. Hope that helps. 9. Dear Jazz, Jazz jazz wrote: with regars to checking own zi wei dou shu, would like to check how much difference it will make if time of birth is wrong, eg bet 1am and 1pm? In ba zi, time of birth may affect some of the character analysis and overall five element percentage. But in general, only a few hours really differ from having only the day of birth analysed. Unless element strength is different (ie weak water changed to strong water), there will no be too great a difference. Often, our advise is not sure, take an analysis without the hour of birth as the foundation analysis. In Zi Wei Dou Shu (Chinese Astrology/Horoscope), it is also quite similiar, the likelyhood is some character analysis may not be as accurate. But since horoscope are usually focus on YEAR of birth, so that is the more important factor. But in general, horoscope readings are just more for fun and compatibility, so no real harm even if it is wrong. Hope that helps. 10. Hi, tan jhj wrote: this ziwei master kept a copy of my ziwei analysis, saying it is for his database when i ask the ziwei chart from him. In general, this is entirely up to the consultant whether or not they do want to keep a copy or not. It really depends a lot on what kind of services they offer. For example, any face-to-face analysis, usually is done on the spot. So any information analysed should be given to the client. No real need to keep a copy. Even if they do keep a copy (usually to make it easy for their clients to ask further advise or request for it again if they lost it), they should remove/destroy the data should you do not want them to keep it. For example, any online based analysis, may keep the database of the data entered by the client, so that the clients do not need to re-enter them if you need to access it. Since these are online based services, the data are stored on computer server and only accessable by the administrator managing the system. But the option to delete the information or request for the information to be removed should be given to the clients. So you will be in control of whether you wish to keep or delete the information. tan jhj wrote: Does most ziwei orbazhimaster have practice to keep customersbazhi? Most street side masters that do it on the spot, will probably NOT keep any copy.Don't see any point for them to keep it unless they foresee a follow-up query which needs them to refer to the information analysed. Most online calculator based, will probably have theinformation needed to generate the analysis stored on servers, but as mentioned option to remove should be available to clients. Others online analysis done by masters, may only keep for short term just to cater for any follow up queries, but only in soft copy. In any case, all masters are supposed to keep the information confidential and should destroy the information if asked by the clients. There should be no reason why they should keep it if the clients do not want them to. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  11. Hi, tan jhj wrote: I heard from my mum that a master once advise me not to give my bazhi away coz someone may steal my life after he/she know my bazhi. Recently, i went to see a Tzi Way teller to ask him to get my fortune told. However, i unknowingly gave him my bazhi to the very hour and min which i am born. Now i am worried. In general, most fortune tellers if any is supposed to keep your information confidential. This means that they are usually not supposed to reveal it to a third party. Furthermore, as they normally check up for so many people, it may be difficult for them to remember each and everyone. So it is unlikely for them to abuse the information, unless they are bent on causing harm. Feng Shui in general is to help one create harmony. However, there are in the past things like charms or talisman (more taoist related), that uses these information to put curses or control the dead etc. I believe some of these can be used to create some harm to a person. So probably that is what your mum is more worried about. However, I can say that most of this art isn't really practiced now-a-days, furthermore, these are more spiritual belief that is based on several chinese beliefs, religious beliefs etc. Most modern people know that most of these are untrue. Furthermore, it is highly unlikely that a fortune teller who calculates many many people chart can remember all the information unless he/she really intend to keep a copy of the information about you. So I really do not think you have to worry. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

The house facing direction must in general fall under either of the 4 good direction under your Eight House Kua (ie prosperity, excellent, longevity, health) 3. If possible, if your house direction can also be one of your favourable ba zielement, thenthe direction thatis favourable to both your eight house and ba zi direction would be your best overall direction. 4. 15. Dear Sharlene, Sharlene Soh wrote: Qn 1: My wealth element should be wateras it clashes with fire. However, could earth too be my wealth element as it reduces fire? You are a Strong Fire, so your wealth is Metal element. The element that your element can destroy. A weak fire is one that lacks of Wood and Fire, thus considered weak. A strong fire is one that has too much of Wood and Fire, thus considered strong. So as a Strong Fire, you want to have elements that can control or bring down your excess fire. That means Earth that helps you exhaust your Fire or Water that destroy your Fire. And even Metal which helps to destroy your excess Wood. However, which element is your most favourable elements depends a lot on the percentage of the elements in your chart which is only available in the paid reports. Free report you will not know exactly the exact percentage of each element. Given you mentioned that you have 5 earth, there might be a possiblity that you have too much of it already. So you will probably benefit more from either Water or Metal elements. Qn 2: As mentioned above, I am a strong yin fire person, therefore, wouldn't it be unfavourable if I work in the fashion industry which is a fire element? Yes, you will not benefit from a fire element career if you are a Strong Fire. Qn 3: Also, I have a strong interest in acquiring knowledge relating to feng shui and may consider becoming a feng shui master as a career. As feng shui is considered as wood element, therefore, would it mean that it would be unfavourable for me to venture into feng shui as a career? Yes, you will not benefit from a wood element career if you are a Strong Fire. In both qn 2 and qn 3, you need to ensure you have lots of your favourable element first before you can benefit from Wood element in general. Otherwise, you will not benefit from having an unfavourable element. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  16. Dear K.roll, If you had bothered to do some searching in the forum, you will find that this question has been replied many many times. This forum has an archive of over 9 years worth of knowledge. I hope that all other users reading this post, will also do the same. This can save lots of our valuable time in replying post rather than to repeat replying a similiar answer each and every time. K.roll Salamoun wrote: My Kua number is 1 and my husband's kua number is 2.Knowing that each number has its own favorable/bad directions, how can we manage to simultaneously activate our favorable direction?(example: bedroom location, sleeping position....) It is common to have two kua types. So you need to just know how to prioritise the concepts. 1. For the breadwinner of the house, the house should be suitable to him/her. This way he/she will get the luck from the house. Since he is the breadwinner, if he does well, the rest of the family will benefit from it. 2. For the spouse of the breadwinner, since the chart is opposite, the house may not be the most suitable for her. So, she should get a bedroom sector that falls under her good sector. This way, she will get the luck from the room, while the breadwinner gets the luck from the house. This way even if the breadwinner isn't that suitable to the room, it is not too bad. 3. If possible, try to avoid Death or Disaster for either party. So if the house facing for the breadwinner is Prosperity, while the spouse is Disaster, then better to go for another direction where the breadwinner is say Longevity, while the spouse is spook/irriation. Sames goes for the bedroom if possible. If not, then at least avoid Death sector. 4. The rest of the family as long as they have a suitable bedroom sector, they will individuall get luck from the bedroom sector. 5. Last but not least would be the best bed direction. Shapes and form arrangement of the bed is takes priority followed by the best bed position. So if you follow the above, you will find that it is perfectly acceptable to have complete opposite Kua number. Just that you need to know how to give priority so that each person can get luck from one area. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Reseach

I'm not very sure off it but I believe it is also deal with 00 ending sound inauspicious. As most shopping selling price tagthe cents is always included in it. Please advice. I believe this is more marketing than feng shui. You see the reason why most people will price at 19.90 or 19.99 is that to the person buying it it does not seem like $20 as it is like or within the $10 plus. But in actual fact, it is actually $20. Just like if you price $99. It seems like it is less than $100 so more like for people to want to buy it. Of course, if you want to look at feng shui perspective? 9 = Jiu. So 99 = Jiu Jiu. Forever. So maybe there is some portion of Feng Shui to explain why more people will buy the product if it is price in such a way. Hope that helps. What this means is that:- As a weak Wood, her favourable element is Water and Wood. Since she has only 5% Water, water is the element she lack most. Therefore, water is more preferred than Wood (20%). Her unfavourable elements would be Metal because it destroy Wood and Fire which exhaust her Wood. Hoever, as she has 0% Fire and 0% Metal, some of these element is good but she will need to first have the element she favours first. Then only then can you have a little of some of the unfavourable elements. You see in order to achieve perfect balance, that means she need to have 20% of each element. But to obtain that perfection, it is very difficult for anyone to tell exactly how much of each element you have at any one time. In general, if you are weak, it means you do not have enough Water and Wood to make you Strong. So priority must go to having the favourable element first. This will make you strong enough, so that when you do add some of the unfavourable elements like Metal and Fire, this will help create more balance into your life. Anonymous wrote: According to her report, the career suitable for her is of water or wood elements. Under personal Ba Zi / Feng Shui element report, it showed at the beginning that Kua type is wood (right next to the heavenly stem and earthly branch). But under it, the birth element indicated I am a weak Yin Fire and I don't want to be too weak otherwise I cannot take advantage of my Wealth Element. Generally, there are a few theoriesthat can determine a person's element. ie. Kua Type Element - is based on the Eight House personal kua concept which is based on your YEAR of birth. ie. Ba Zi Element - is based on the Ba Zi analysis of your date of birth (ie day/month/year and even hour of birth). Since this concept considers even the day of birth, it is actually better than Kua Type element. Therefore, the Kua element you see, is just the Kua Type Element. Whereas the ba zi determines your element based on the day of birth as each year will have different element sign depending on which day you born in the year. ie You can be born in a Fire Pig year, but you can be a weak water Fire Pig or a strong Wood Fire Pig. Exactly how much percentage you lack depends a lot on the balance of your five element. ie say if you have 5% Wood and 10% Fire, then it means Wood is what you lack most followed by Fire element.
