  1. Hi Anon, Feng Shui is no miracle cure for all problems. Feng Shui cannot control how much a person wishes to spend or save, this is more of a human factor. You should probably try to say get your husband to do like a financial planning, so that he can see how much he earns and how much he spends. This way he will then realise that he might be spending unnecessarily and start to save more. No amount of feng shui can help you change it. Feng Shui can help you improve the amount of potential wealth, happiness and health but it cannot help you on controlling your wealth. For questions on Health, there may be two possibilities:- 1. From Ba Zi, it seems that you though you have luck on your big luck path, but it seems that there are many many major and minor clashes/harms occuring your life. This usually are signs of a person with health issues. This may be made worst if you continue to lack Wood (green/brown) and Fire (red) elements in your life. 2. From House perspective, you might also be staying in a house where there might be lots of star 2 and 5 which are illness and misfortune stars that can add to your issue. This you have to use the flying star report to help check on your home. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  2. Dear Seco, Plants and flowers in general, no matter whether they are have thorns or not, are geneally good. It is always nice to have some greenery, or nice looking or smelling plants to liven up the place. Anyway, even for thorns are quite small, a few of them will not create a massive sha qi. Thus, it should be no problems to have roses in that area. Furthermore, you already have put up some Metal cures which should be enough to neutralise the sector. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  3. Dear Seco, Though Eight House suitability and bed placement are important, but even more important is actually the shapes and form placement of the bed within the bedroom itself. Often, the shapes and form principles will have higher priority than, Eight House. So generally we try to follow this room:- 1. The bedroom sector within the house itself should if possible fall under any of the 4 better eight house sector. 2. Bed placement within the room should first suit the shapes and form, ie a solid wall behind where you can see the door and window. 3. Only if possible under the shapes and form arrangement, such as to place the bed North or East facing, only then can you make use of the Eight House again to see which direction is better. 4. Finally, choosing where one person should sleep on the right or left. You use the eight house to try to sleep closer to the direction which is better for you and let your partner shield you from the less auspicious direction. It is never advisable to solely use one principle and ignore the rest. Each feng shui theory and concept has a specific use. Knowing when to use what is important. But if you generally folllow the above rules, you should do just fine. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  4. Dear Linda, Generally, a rifle is a form of sha qi. So generally, it isn't advisable to hang a rifle. Even if you wish to display a rifle, it would be better that it is kept inside a glass display where the rifle barrel at least inside the glass display. It will definately make more sense to have a picture or a flower ornament rather than to hang a rifle. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  5. Dear Koon Hee, Generally for main door you follow these rules:- 1. For entire buildling, you take the frontage of the buidling. 2. Fora particular shop/office within the building, you should take the main entrance where you and your client will enter in and out of the office. 3. Taking the frontage or office window is another way, but that will be taking the frontage of the office. Especially for offices which do not really need to have customers entering in and out of the house. From our experience, it is better to take the main door direction from the centerpoint of the office. Reason for this is because this way the sector where the main entrance fall under will be same sector. However, it is also not wrong to just stand at the main door looking outwards and recording the compass reading of the direction or the facing direction of the office window. All really depends on the office layout itself. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  6. Dear Sharon, Generally, when there are two doors facing each door, it is said that there will be more quarrels between the two occupants. Especially if they are extremely close to each other. In your case a life door, though it isn't a house, but you will have lot of people enter in and out of the lift and if it faces your home, in a non-feng shui point of view there will be some lack of privacy. If the lift is a distance away shouldn't be much of an issue to worry about. Otherwise, best thing you may do is to keep the door close when not entering in and out of the house. Hope that helps. 8. Dear Anon, The reason why you will not find answer to your question is because in order for anyone to know where is the best position to place a water feature, will mean that they will have to do a full personalised anlaysis of your home before anyone can recommend where exactly you can place the water feature so as to take advantage of the new period. Generally, a water feature is good to be located in an open space area, often the frontage or garden would be a generally a good choice. I so happen to reply another question on water feaure, which I have put up some tips and guides on water position which you can read up as a guide. http://forum.geomancy.net/webboard/wbpx.dll/~geomancy/read?16959,1 But generally, the best placement of a water feature should be a water feature that attempts to collect water (wealth) into your home as well as to prevent wealth from leaking to another house located lower down the hill. Exactly where will that be in your garden will be hard for me to tell you unless a full review is conducted or until a full flying star is done. You can make use of the free flying star to locate where is the water star 8 (current prosperity) or 9 (future prosperity). These would potentially be good directions where you can put the water feature. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  9. Dear Judy, Generally, in order to fully know where you should be activating the water position in the home, it is best to use tools like flying star analysis to conduct a full audit so that you can find where are the current and future auspicious stars where it will benefit from having a water feature. So please note here that any advice provided here is based on general shapes and form concepts without considering other factors. 1. Ideally, any water feature should be located at the frontage of the house where possible. This is because whatever your frontage is that should be the clear space where under the Four Symbolic animals, it is the pheonix sector where the bird may fly freely in the open space. 2. The next place that is often good to place the water feature where say the backyard has a sloping hill. Such a sloping hill will often cause wealth to flow from the high grounds to lower grounds. So such a position is also good for placing water feature so that you can trap the wealth before it flows to another house lower down the hill. 3. The next would then be the living room balcony frontage especially in apartments where the main door entrance may be on the opposite side of the house. For landed property, this will often be the garden area. From what you have provided so far, it would be that the water feature will be located in the garden, so it should generally be ok. As for the use of amethyst crystal bowl it should not be an issue. Justtry toremember some of these tips:- 1. For garden it is always good to have some water feature. The only issues will probably be how big or small. The water feature should not be too big in a small garden or too small in the garden otherwise it won't look nice in a garden. 2. The water feature should also have sufficient water flow so that there is moving water which helps to create negative ions (which is good for the environment) as well as create the nice water flowing sound just like if you were in the forest. 3. Whatever feature you put it, should be nicely decorated so that it will if possible contain all the five elements (ie rocks - Hi there! I live in the Southern Hemisphere and I have a large amethyst crystal bowl (60cm round and 40cm deep) I wish to place it under a Frangipani tree, in the middle of my back garden as a water feature facing the house. The back garden fence faces North East, the crystal would have it's back to the fence. Is this a good position? Is there anything I need to keep in mind when placing this crystal. Regards....Judy
  10. Hi Anon, Generally, plants in general are good for beautifying the environment as well as as plants with flowers are often good indicators to whether a sector is good or bad. Remember that the goal of feng shui is ultimately to create an environment which you will feel comfortable in. Most people should find that a home with plants or a beautify garden very relaxing to be around. Thus, plants no matter what variety are always used. In terms of feng shui, any sharp objects pointing at your home or etc are considered poison arrows. Which is why most people will go for less torny plants if and where possible. Usually, one will also try to avoid getting plants which can create major poison arrow to the home. But you should remember that that whatever sha qi, you can often grade the severity. ie a small single torn isn't going to create as much sha qi as a single tall and thin lamp post for example. This means that even if you have a plant that has some torns, it is not going to create as big a sha qi as a corner from another building or tall lamp post. Thus, even if you put like a rose (which has torns as well), it isn't going to create a major sha qi. Rather, some plants especially a variety of plants can create a very nice garden decor which will be override the minor sha qi and still create a very nice environment. In addition, some people use plants that are torny as a form of protection to the home. Imagine if you create a fence with a row torny plants, don't you think it will act as a deterent against any one from climbing over the fence. So, sometimes plants can also be a form of protection. Thus, I would consider the sha qi created from such plants as minor. And if the use of the plants can still create a very nice decor and/or act as a protection, why not? Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for applied feng shui Research.
  11. Dear Detroit, Generally, anything sharp pointing towards you is considered a poison arrow. But how bad will depends on how big or how visible the object is as well as how far away is it. If it is a small object that is quite a distance away then it is considered minor. But if is pretty obvious and it points say towards the main door or living room windows etc. Then you may need to try to put say a someplants or if you have afenceor even some roll down blinds if you have some balcony type area etc which can help to block the sha qi. Generally, as long as you cannot see the threat from your main door or living room then it is no longer a big issue. So anything which can block the path should be ok. But if the object is really small, then not really a major issue. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  12. Dear Jillian, Congratulations on your new flat. Frankly, the best tip not just for yourself but for everyone who simply wants to create a harmonious environment or even troubleshoot. Is to always ensure that your Heaven, Earth and Human Luck are all in harmony. Particularly, Earth Luck which has an adverse impact on your overall luck. 1. Heaven Given Luck - which is luck that is given to you when you are born. Knowing your ba zi element, willl allow you to know what colour for decorating you home, or what career beings you best luck, what people helps you in your career etc. You can make use of the free ba zi report on our member area website to determine your birth element. 2. Earth Luck (your Home) - You Home is the most important luck which can adversely influence over the Heaven Given Luck. Most of the time when there are problems, it is usually because:- a. the House isn't suitable to the breadwinner (ie. use Eight House Report to determine this) b. the house has bad feng shui (ie. Flying Star Report to identify where are all the problem stars that are in red colour) c. an interior shapes and form (ie toilet in the center of the house, or major Qi leak from main door directly out a window) d. an external shapes and form factor where three is a Poison Arrow cutting into your apartment from a building across. As for the point 2c. Check for major flaws like:- - main door enter and directly opposite the house is a window which means Qi flow into the main door and directly out without actually circulating into the house. - toilet located directly in the centerpoint of the house - Odd shaped apartment ie triangle shaped or missing corner As for the point 2d. Simple check for flaws like:- - example is to stand at your main door or living room window/balcony, look out see if there are any corners from the building or cutting into your home from across the building etc. - Any major roads that cuts towards your building etc. Often, it is the House which has major leaks that will adversely affect your home. Understanding what could be the problems can help you know how you can attempt to correct it so as to create an environment which you and your family will feel most comfortably. These are the general steps that you should check on your home to ensure that everything will work in your favour. Hope that helps. 14. Dear Mei Ling, Please note that analysis done here are based on information provided and on Eight House so not every possible analysis may have been considered. However, based on the Eight House, North is Longevity for yourself and Irritation for your husband. Still generally ideal. But the house must contain a bedroom which is more suitable to your husband. For a more suitable direction would probably be South-West, where your husband will be having a better facing, and yourself Irritation might be better. This is because it is often good to give the breadwinner the better house suitability then the spouse. So generally, quite ok. Usually North and South facing house will seldom go wrong as you avoid the Sun at East or West which are often considered Sha Qi, especially for West house. You should still do other checks to ensure that the plot and external factors are ok before you buy it. As mentioned, whatever advise here is given based on limited information provided only. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee
  15. Dear Anon, Generally, what you cannot see no longer becomes a threat. So if you based on this concept, whatever you can do to make sure that you cannot directly the poison arrow is considered a solution to the problem. Usually, for example a fence or a row of plants that can help to block the view are good solutions for an external posion arrow. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  16. Dear Anon, There are two levels of suitability which you can check:- 1. Eight House - Which shows you which of the 4 directions is good or bad. 2. Ba Zi Element - ie weak Wood is favourable for Water (North etc). For house direction, in either case, if you already choose a house which isn't suitable for you, there is no way you can force the house to suit you unless you move to a house that have the direction favourable for you. But ideally, if a house isn't favourable to you and as long as it isn't your death or disaster, then it isn't too bad yet. However, if the house is considered death or disaster, then in the long run you will benefit from moving to a more suitable house. So the only way you can attempt to improve the luck is to fix or correct all other areas. I mean though suitability is one factor, there are still ways to improve your luck, ie getting a career which is favourable for you, or ensuring your colours are favourable to enhance your ba zi etc. This will then help to offset luck which you may not be able to fully benefit from a less suitable house. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  17. Hi Anon, The Grand Duke and Location in Conflict for 2004 to 2006 is as follows:- 2004- Grand Duke isWest-South-West 240 Degee, Location in Conflict is South 2005 - Grand Duke is West 270 Degree, Location in Conflict is East 2006 - Grand Duke is West-North-West 300 Degree, Location in Conflict is North Hope that helps. 18. Dear Tim, So such sectors must be corrected to avoid any potential problems. However, for most modern house, the better cure is to ensure that the area is decorated with more Metal influence (ie white colour decor, with more metal furniture etc.) As for the illness issues, besides such cures, it may also be good to have like the modern technology an HEPA air cleaner which can help to reduce germs and further reduce illness. It is just like even if the sector is suitable for you, but the sector can still have very bad feng shui. So the bad stars still have to corrected. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  19. Hi Anon, 1. If you are referring to two person say having the same element (ie weak water), then the answer is yes it is absolutely possible. In fact it is pretty common. Birth element can only have 10 different possibilities from weak/strong combination of 5 different elements. So very common. However, though both might have the same birth element, the ba zi luck will be different for the two person unless, the two person is about 60 years apart where there might be a possibility that the same birth chart might occur but very rare. 2. It is very common that two person will have opposite Eight House Chart. ie West is Excellent for one but Spook for the other. The way to go about doing this is to follow this simple give and take rule:- a. Ensure the Breadwinner have a suitable house facing (ie Excellent, Prosperity, Longevity, Health), and if possible the same house facing should not fall under your spouse Death or Disaster sector. Spook and Irritation is acceptable. b. Since the breadwinner has luck from the house, then ensure the spouse get a slightly better room / bedroom sector (ie Excellent, Prosperity, Longevity, Heath), and if possible the breadwinner's bedroom sector should avoid Death or Disaster sector. Spook and Irritation is acceptable. c. In choosing who should sleep on the Left side of the bed or Right side of the bed. You use the same concept. Try to let the each sleep closer to their best sector, ie say for the breadwinner Left side is Disaster while, Right side is closer to Prosperity, then it is more ideal to sleep on the right side. As long as you follow this rule, you should be fine. This is call give and take. Since breadwinner get a better house suitability, the spouse to get a better bedroom to compensate for the lack of luck from the house. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  20. Dear Gustavo, Sorry to learn about your plight. What I can do for you is provide you with free complimentary paid credits to some of the useful paid tools so that you can try to make sense about your current situation. Then maybe you will be able to see what could possibly be wrong and try to fix them or at least work to improving it. Feng Shui is by no means a miracle cure all. How quickly if any will it help to improve is determined by how bad your situation is. You must understand that every person has a few luck factors influencing your overall luck. 1. Heaven Given Luck - which is luck that is given to you when you are born. This is luck that is supposed to be pre-destined for you. Often when some people are in though people it is quite common to find that 10-year period pretty inauspicious which means luck not with you. So in his area, the paid ba zi report for example can help you give you some insights and then you can know what elements favour you so that you can try to improve yourself with the career choices, colour scheme as well as a suiable house facing which you can attempt to draw luck from. If luck here is ok, then it is very likely the Earth Luck which is causing adverse issues to your current problem. 2. Earth Luck (your Home) - You Home is the most important luck which can adversely influence over the Heaven Given Luck. Most of the time when there are problems, it is usually because:- a. the House isn't suitable to the breadwinner (ie. Eight House Report) b. the house has bad feng shui (ie. Flying Star Report) c. an interior shapes and form (ie toilet in the center of the house, or major Qi leak from main door directly out a window) d. an external shapes and form factor where three is a Poison Arrow cutting into your apartment from a building across. So I can give you free paid Ba Zi (to help identify problem 1) and Flying Star (to help identify problem 2b) and you can use the free Eight House in the members area (to help identify problem 2a). As for the problem 2c. Check for major flaws like:- - main door enter and directly opposite the house is a window which means Qi flow into the main door and directly out without actually circulating into the house. - toilet located directly in the centerpoint of the house - Odd shaped apartment ie triangle shaped or missing corner As for the problem 2d. Simple check for flaws like:- - example is to stand at your main door or living room window/balcony, look out see if there are any corners from the building or cutting into your home from across the building etc. - Any major roads that cuts towards your building etc. Often, it is the House which has major leaks that will adversely affect your home. Understanding what could be the problems can help you know how you can attempt to correct it. Some major flaws cannot be corrected, so you just have to make sure you can fix up all the other minor flaws so as to improve the overall luck as much as you can. I have updated your member account with 1 x Ba Zi Premium and 1 x Flying Star report. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  21. Dear Nitin, You will have to find out what might be the potential problems which might be affecting your situation. Sometimes, it might be because of Feng Shui sometimes it can also be others issues (ie. work attitude /simply insufficent career advancement opportunities.) In terms of Feng Shui, you must identify where is the root of your problems:- 1. Are you having bad luck because your given luck (ie. Heaven Luck - Ba Zi) is in a very bad period. 2. Or is it your home (earth luck) which is bad for you. ie Home not suitable for you (ie Eight House - Disaster), or that the house simply have very bad luck etc. 3. Or is it you are in a career which is your unfavourable element (ie weak water person in a Fire (sales) career which is not favourable due to water being too weak. There are many issues which may be explain why you arehaving financial issues. So you do have identify the root cause of your problems, only then can you know how to correct it. Otherwise, no one will be able to advice you on how to improve your situation. We have made so many free tools on our Member Area website for everyone to use. So make use of them to help troubleshoot what might be potentially wrong. Only then will you know whether it is your home that needs fixing, or maybe need to move to another career etc. If it is not feng shui, then you should evaluate yourself. ie do you have the adequate skills for the job, are you working hard enough to get your boss attention or appreciation, etc. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  22. Hi Anon, Yes, Wood by default destroy Earth. This is what we call the destructive cycle of the five element. However, there is a big difference between Weak or Strong Earth. a weak Earth is where you need Fire and Earth to make your weak Earth stronger. However, for a Strong Earth, it means you already have too much of Fire and Earth. Thus, whatever helps you reduce the excessive Earth is good for you. So Wood and Metal helps to control the Strong Earth. So that is why for you Wood becomes your favourable element. East (Wood) and SE (Wood) is a favourable element for a Strong Earth. There is nothing wrong about it. You just have to understand the weak and strong nature of a particular element to get this fundamental correct. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center For Applied Feng Shui Research
  23. Hi Anon, Generally, Binomials is mathematical away define the Heaven Stem (HS) and Earthly Branch (EB)relationship. Just like the different combination of the HS and EB which gives you 60 unique combinations. This is one of the unique interaction of two different HSand EB. It is quite useful in many areas where you need to make sense of the general element of the HS & EB, used in main chart and all luck pillars so fairly useful. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  24. Hi Anon, 1. If you take the entrance of the building, you will be doing a feng shui for the entire building. This means that you will be doing the feng shui for tall offices within the building itself. Which is a larger scale of analysis typically used for when you are planning to build the entire building itself. 2. Each office unit within the building does have it's own feng shui, so you should be looking at the individual feng shui of the office based on the main door or office frontage. Since your aim is to check on your own office, then you should point 2. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui
  25. Hi Fenger, In our Traditional Chinese custom, usually when there is a death in the family, most people will not wish to hold any marriage at least not after 100 days. It is generally considered inauspicious to do so. The actual length of period that most people will avoid having a marriage in the family really depends on your own traditional believes / superstitions. There are some people who will avoid having a marriage for a year, some even 3 years. So it is very difficult to put an actual figure as to the actual length that you must have before any marriage is held. It all depends on the individual. This has more to do with Chinese Believes and Supersitions. Take the Westerners for example, they can even get married a day/week after the funeral procession. It does not bother them at all. Which is why I say that this has to do with Chinese Believes and Superstitions. But for practical reaons, I think in modern society, no one will want to wait 1 or 3 years before getting married. So normally, it is quite acceptable to the Chinese that as long as it is after 100 days, it should be ok have a marriage. But ultimately, it depends on you and your family (especially your elders like your parents/grandparents on how may days apart before they are comfortable to have a marriage.) Hope that helps.
