(By sometime next week, there will be a short period where the online.geomancy.net will be transferred to this new server.) --------------------------------------------- 2. One-Account integrated system which will link all existing My Adviser, My FengShui, My Mail accounts through one common login system using the core database from My FengShui account system. (We intend to call it My Geomancy Account when it is launched). Options will be available for you to automatically create accounts for each section of the website say My Adviser Forum. Since the account has been validated once, you need not validate the account a second time. For users who had created an existing account, you can either link that old account to your central account, or create a new account. More details will be made available once we launched this central login system. --------------------------------------------- 3. New interactive reports which allows users to choose detailed sections of the reports which they are interested in. These new reports will no longer be individual reports (such as Pillars of Destiny, Eight House, Flying Star etc). Rather they will be linked and combined together into a single module. Snapshot of the up and coming reports:- It will provide several sections:- a. Basic Knowledge - providing explanation to areas and sections which you need to understand the report. b. Learn about your chart - providing detailed section which explains areas in your chart. c. Forecast - providing analysis such as current year forecast. d. Analyse - analyse current bedroom, current house are they suitable if not what kind of cures are necessary etc. e. Find Out - providing analysis which provides you with interactive What-If kind of analysis. Dear Users, We are preparing for the launch of many new up and coming reports. We have setup a testing url in the My FengShui under Beta Preview | Home Position (beta). These are a few of the simple home reports which put up for users to try. Currently we have launched 4 different reports. a. Bedroom Location - Find the best bedroom for you. b. Dear Users, In the recent months since Feb, this site has undergone many many changes. Due to the size and extend of this site, it took us a considerable time to update our site with a consistent look and feel. We have also taken great pains to ensure that the site is cross-browser compatible. In recent few weeks, we have double check the site with Netscape browsers to ensure that all users using Netscape can surf our site properly. We have since fixed many netscape related problems. More notabled fixes are for Netscape inability to generate the pages which have more than 8 nested table tags. This cause netscape browser to appear to be "Not responding" but in fact, it is building the page extremely slowly in the memory. Unfortunately, this is a browser related fault. We have done most of our testing on all parts of the site, and they should be working properly for both Netscape and Internet Explorer. Dear Users, We would firstly like to apologise to all users who have been having problems accessing the My FengShui Site www.geomancy-online.com since 21 Feb 2000 at 10 pm (+0800). As there were more than a few million profiles, it took us sometime to restore all the profiles. The reason for the disruption has been due to a hard disk crash. This crash had affected our new US main database server (primary and backup), as it was a hardware problem, it has affected our most recent 2 hourly online backup. Such that we had to restore the data from our `old' local server. Together with recent unaffected profiles which we could recover after the crash. My FengShui ( www.geomancy-online.com ), is now fully restored and is up and running so all users can make use of it. For users who had accessed the site in recent weeks and found that newly created profiles are `missing', please re-create a new one. If you had previously purchased a paid credit which is currently missing, please e-mail to robert-lee@geomancy.net to get your credits replaced. We apologise for the inconvience caused. Meanwhile, we also took the opportunity to trace an elusive problem, faced by some users which affects the navigation of the site causing a blank screen or an error message "internal error". Dear Carrie, Please read below:- Since you have 6 Earth, this should be where you are Strong Earth, where then you should have more Metal related elements in your personal life to induce the Earth to produce Metal, and in turn will produce Water and Wood. Which in your case Water is your wealth. Thus you need to enhance yourself say with personal cures such as wearing Metal or Water coloured clothings, and maybe even for your job get a job say Metal or Water. Wood althought in the order the the Five Elements does help weaken Earth, but it would be less effective then metal for your case as Wood may in turn also strenthen the Fire and in turn strengthen the Earth. So it is kind of a double edge cure for your case. My recommendation is for you to enhance yourself with Metal and Water. For example if you take a job as Metal, then enhance yourself with a personal cure of Water. Dear Anon, Please read below:- Usually there are two method of looking at this. Firstly you must first determine that the star you are enhancing is a auspicious star. If it is an inauspicious star, then you will be activating it instead. Next, you have to make sure firstly that before you start enhancing that sector the elements are balanced. This means that if there is an inauspicious star destroying the auspicious star, you have to correct it first. After the correction, simply look at the element of the auspicious star, say water, then if the sector has very strong water influence, meaning there is already a metal star in the sector, then my recommedation is to use the Fire (Wealth) so that the water can conquer the Fire to bring more wealth. If there is only a `few' water, then you should enhance it by making it stronger with Metal. However, please take note here that the MAIN reason why our reports DO NOT specify Water Star, is simply because Water star requires OPEN SPACE. So far no house can be considered an `OPEN SPACE', unless it is a large space such as the living room. If so, Cecil has covered this adequately using `Shapes and Form' School where he mentioned that the two main locations for activating water star (or clear space) is at the frontage of the house e.g. outside the main door and the living room. Thus, you can see the effectiveness of using say fish tank, fountain is limited in the house. Furthermore, when we talk about enhancements, water should be flat e.g. akin a pond and not `high' as in a fish tank which towers even above certain furniture. More like a pool of water is the word for `activating' water. However, it is possible to enhance the water star with these items. This is why most of the time, fish tank is used to neutralise sha qi or poison arrows. In fact the most effective activation is to have a pool of water at the front of the house (outside the constraints of the house). So you see this is the fundamental reason why Water Star activation is not very effective in the house. And usually we only advice doing this, after all the problem sectors have been cured. Also, rather than using say the common fountain activation, there are some alterative such as creating an active Qi in good sectors by having revolving fan to create moving Qi to circulate into the rooms. Usually, no one uses earth elements instead they will use a fan to create an active Qi, allowing the Metal element which is the auspicious element this star to circulate the room. As you mentioned, that since it is a water star, usually, it is more effective with either a support element for water, or the wealth element so that the water can conquer and create wealth. Dear Carrie, For every year there is a heavenly stem and earthly branch. For example, in year 2000, Heavenly stem is Metal. While the Dragon is Earth. The dragon's element is thus Earth. This means that for most year element they often take the heavenly stem which is Metal based on the heavenly stem. However, I have written the Daily Forecast based on the Pillars of Destiny & Chinese Astrology. Thus, have used the Earthly Branches. Reason: The earthly branches element has a great deal of influence each year, and also, the great deal of Clashes, Harms, Punishments and Self Punishments can only be found in the Earthly Branches, hidden elements etc. Thus, this provides a better and allows users to make better use of their Personal Destiny. Furthermore, by using the Earthly Branch, it can be used for Zi Wei Dou Shu (Chinese Astrology). So it kind of kills two birds with one stone. Dear Users, We have disabled the auto focusing on the windows for Netscape 3 and below, so that any javascript will not cause you from having difficulties logging into the forum or any pop up windows. This means that for older browsers users, if the window has been previously opened, it will not automatically bring the window into focus. But at least this should allow you to login to the system properly. Whenever you login to My FengShui, My Adviser, or My Mail, the system will launch the site into a new window. I have modified the startup so that My FengShui and My Adviser will not share the same window. This would allow you to switch between the two window in case you need to refer to the reports and seek advice from us. In addition, we done some house cleaning of the codes for all the major reports modules. This should mean that the reports should be faster to generate. We are still working on several updates to the My FengShui (such as refining the existing reports, help and better interface) and also on a new personalisation site. Dear Users, My FengShui has been given a new look. - Online Reports (partial) - Electronic Books (completed) - Online Course (partial) We have been listening to your feedbacks and have re-designed the My FengShui with the similar design concepts from the various external navigation pages. In addition, as we were re-designing the pages, we were also going through the various modules and optimised the codes so that every page generation is faster. We have put up a sample link for the new online interface. And would like to hear from users about the type of interface you prefer. Currently there are three different interface. 1. By Categories interface uses similar categories to breakdown the reports generation. 2. By Reports interface users individual reports to generate the reports. 3. New interface uses frames to break down the stages followed by a selection phase for the reports. There are three types of categories so far a. By report - Only the key reports shown giving users option to select the free / member / paid reports. b. By category - Group the reports by whether they are free / members / paid reports. c. By all reports - listing every individual reports. We would like to hear from you whether which type of interface you prefer using so that we can design an interface which you find most easy to use. Dear Tracey, I am sorry, it is difficult for us to help you based on what you tell us. What I can suggest is for you to make use of the tools available on the site to help you make the proper accessment. Such as use the Eight House to find which is a good sector for you to face when you work. Use the free pillars to at least determine what element you belong to so that you know what kind of elements, colours can you use to enhance yourself. If you like to enhance home office, the Flying Star report can be used to analyse your home to determine which are the problem or unbalanced a sectors.
