There is no need to modify any timing. As your Solar date would have converted it 6 Feb 12.59 am. Thus, your solar day is 6th day and not 5th day. If you friend was born in 5 Feb 12:05 am, then he is considered 5 Feb Zi hour Since is is born in 6 Feb 12:05 am, then he is considered 6 Feb Zi hour. So that is why I do not see the explicit need for the modified dates or to worry about this, as your Solar dates have converted to the 6 day already. That, is why so long as you enter your Solar date, the conversion will convert you to the proper representation of the Chinese Lunar date. I think you are confusing yourself unnecessarily, since he is born on 6 Mar 00:05:- Just choose 6 as the day, Mar as the month, the year he is born, and the timing 11 pm to 12.59 pm since it is 12:05 pm (00:05 pm). The Solar date will have already treat it as 6 Mar and not 5 Mar. Do not need to make any unnecessary modification to the Solar date, as it will be converted into the Chinese date according to your Solar Date. Hope that clears your doubt. Dear Desmond, The original and traditional Chinese treats takes every 2 hours as one chinese hour. Many calculations also depends on this two hourly method. However, I do know and understand why some Masters break up that special midnight into an additional hour, calling it a 13th hour relating it back to one of the 12th hour. Although, I can understand this, but the problem here is that the influence for those between 11 pm to 11.59pm and 12 am to 12.59am stills falls under the influence of this same hour as that is how the chinese hour is related to the 24 hour western timing. Which means that 5 Mar, 11pm, will span to 6 Mar 12.59 am. This was one of the reason why, I do not intend to use this breakdown as, it changes the balance of elements in the 12 chinese hour. The reason why Chinese Pillars of Destiny (ba zi) can be accurate even if you lack the hour is because of the very complex nature of analysing the charts which if you obtain the correct formula and way of doing so, it is possible to determine majority of the events. Basically, for many analysis for the luck pillars actually depends on the year, month, hour, thus sometimes there is no need to worry so much about the hour of birth. Dear Chris, Please read below:- Please note that for flying star there is such difference between:- - 20-year flying star chart - yearly flying star chart - monthly flying star chart - daily flying star chart - & etc. Yes, no doubt that when you move from one period to the next range the flying star will change. i.e. if a building is built in period 7 (1984-2003) it will have a period 7 (20-year flying star chart). i.e. if a building is built in period 8 (2004-2023) it will have a period 8 (20-year flying star chart). However, the 20-year chart will not change unless you perform a major renovation. This means that if you have a house in period 6 and there has been no major renovation done during period 7, it is still considered under period 6. However, what will change constantly is the yearly, monthly, daily, etc chart. These constantly changes with time. For the flying star chart, the 20-year chart influence will provide the main analysis for each sector. Thus, since there is no change in the renovation sector, it will retain its existing influence. However, the yearly chart which changed may affect the stars for that sector for the duration of that year only. So if a bad star falls in north sector, and the influence of the stars becomes unfavourable then, you have make some minor cures to that sector to reduce or remove the influence. But basically, whether say the star 5 that falls in north sector creates a very bad sector will depends on the combination with the 20-year base star and the water & the mountain star. So it need not necessary be bad depending on their combination. Cures pertaining to these problems depends very much on the overall influence in that sector. Actually, this combination of element is ok. 1. Wood Strengthen fire fire will also exhaust some wood Wood is weaken so unable to destroy Earth. 2. Fire gains strengths from Wood, which then provide Earth with more resources strengthen you (weak earth). Normally, when there is a destruction and a production, often the production sequence takes place first. Thus, the destruction process is weaken. There are exceptions that even if you are a strong element, it is still good for you to have the element that produce it. Likely answers are:- 1. Feng Shui is about balance, thus creating a full balance in your entire chart is also important. 2. It may come to a stage for her where there may be excessive Fire and Earth which exhaust her strong wood and destroys her water too much that she becomes extremely weak wood. 3. The circumstances in her situation may require water to balance the situation etc. There are several others, but for now I believe these 3 should be able to give you a clear picture why such a situation may require this seemingly not correct step. Dear Anon, In order for you to use the report you must know what you are trying to do. Flying Star - gives you thr birth chart of the house and tells you what kind of influence you will expect in that sector of the room at anyone time. Eight House - is personal directions which you are either have only 4 good and 4 bad. And also that this theory is limited to only this aspect. This means that even if a sector represented by the flying star is not good, to you it is still your good sector. However, the only limitation is that for Flying star you can cure that sector, but for eight house you cannot as it does not properly relate to the course of the problem and you cannot use the kua elements of the sector as a 100% determining factor of the influence in that sector. However, please note that, if you take this as your birth element, it would also mean that millions of people around the world who are born in the chinese year of 1963 then all are water and wood. This is very inaccurate and does not personalise it. This is your true element based on the Pillars generate by geomancy-online. This has taken into account the changing influence of each day, as for a particular year, there can be a day which is represented by a different element. Hi Anon, Yes, that is what the binding element is for. Because as you know it is not possible for everything to be perfect. This means that with any two elements, there is only one combination which is a very good combination for the two. The rest will have to depend on some third and external elements to help. Bring the elements together. As far as I know, I have seen many of which have shown that say they are not exactly compatible based on their pillars alone, but due to binding elements which constantly surround them, they have a very smooth and good relationship. This is possible because, the binding elements helps to keep the two elements together. But also out of Feng Shui, many other factors can also help, such as counselling etc. Hope that helps. For Breadwinner in office you can take the following:- Usually it is the most important or highest position/decision maker in the company. Or if it is a smaller business, than the person that is essential for the business to carry on. It is also the person who is often at the helm of the business that is considered the breadwinner. This means that if the business has a shareholder but the shareholder does not help out directly in the business front, than that person is not considered a breadwinner. If there are several heads, you can always do additional Eight House Report to help access, but you still have to based it more towards the Key or most important person. 2. For Breadwinner in home you can take the following:- In your case who provides more say house allowance or money towards the the home (eg. purchasing food, household equipment, children, etc). Thus, you will find that for Eight House basically, there is nothing much you can do about it, as it only tells you which kua you belong to. This allows a pretty easy reading but often we found that althought it may be a simple tool, in many cases it sometimes is the cause of the problem. But when you have other readings such as Flying Star, most of the influences are overruled by these tools. Then you can ignore the Eight House sector reading. For example, if you have a mountain star, you normally want to activate it to bring you additional luck.
