Hi, Please read below:- You are welcome:) Actually for Eight House, you don't have to worry so much about proper superimposing. Just use the eight directions and take the center of each level. For Eight House, I find that the Pie method rather than the nine square method is easier to use. The Pie method is to have 45 degree angle for every direction starting from the center. If you use this method, you need not worry about having two sets of layout. Also it clearly tell you the direction whether good or bad. If you have a choice, try to locate in a better room, and try to face in one of the better directions, avoid the death and disaster. But of course, this is not as accurate as the Flying Star which can actually tell you if there are inauspicious influence involved. Without that, you have to use a little of your personal instinct, such as whether you feel comfortable. Most important, you feel comfortable and there are no sha qi occurring from any of the environment while you are sleeping. That should be fine. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Hi, Please read below:- I personally feel that the standard rectangular shape or circular shape is still the best shape for desk. Half circular shapes or irregular shapes may cut or radiate or like a knife which cuts out to whoever is visiting. If anyone any other comments, feel free to add. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Hi, Please read below:- Under the shapes and forms theory, if you cannot see it is not a problem. So under this theory, I personally feel that you do not really need to worry. However, for safety reasons, I think that you should still make sure it is safe enough to go into the basement without any mishap. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Hi, Please read below:- Basically, yes I personally agree that circle is very strong shape. However, in terms of Feng Shui, if the building is circular, there is this possibility that you will have missing corners from the shapes and form school. In Feng Shui, the best shapes for houses is rectangle or square shapes, because if you look at it is easier to layout your home furniture in rectangle shape houses rather than odd shaped houses. If anyone has anymore to add, feel free to add to this topic. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Hi, Please read below:- Sorry, without the details, it is pretty difficult to guess why he installed a huge metal globe at the traffic junction. There are many reasons for it, some on Feng Shui and others too. However, as we don't not know much about it, we cannot really comment on it. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Hi, Please read below:- Again, this is a Chinese religious belief. For the Chinese, there are many "gods" or more appropriate "deities or fairies". You see in the Chinese due to many novels etc, Chinese believe in the various deities or fairies are originally some person who in his life time done something significantly great, thus, in future generations the Chinese began to worship them as a sort of symbol. Kitchen god is one of them. However, I have not really tell you that story, as I have not read on it, maybe you can look it up in the library. But in terms of Feng Shui, the kitchen is often regarded as an important place also, due to the fact that it represents the creation of the food which feeds the family. The most important thing you need to know related to stove or sink, which you can do a search in this forum for a detailed explanation by Cecil in previous messages. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Hi, Please read below:- This means that if you are water and fire is your wealth, if you are a strong water and constantly with an environment or job which represents fire, you are likely to be successful and wealthy! But only if you are strong enough to take advantage of it! Deity is like a god which for the Pillars presents some helping stars. It is represented by the 5 elements of which there is a direct, and indirect version of each element. For example, direct wealth and indirect wealth. This means that direct wealth is wealth you obtain from your hard work. As for indirect wealth are wealth such as inheritance or winning lottery etc. Bone is a term use by the Personal Stars. It is just use to describe that for example in the exterior which is represented by say you are born in the year of a rabbit, but you happen to have bones which are related to dragon. This means that although you are a rabbit, you will inherit some dragon characteristics. Stem i believe you are referring to the heavenly stem. Pillars if you look at it is like a tree. The heavenly stem represents like the top of the tree while the earthly branches which is your base or roots. Anyway, they are just fancy terms used by the Pillars or San Shi theory to explain your destiny. Normally, you do not need to be so concerned with it. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Hi, Please read below:- Generally, you still can, but not advisable if your situation is such that you have too much of water. What you should try to do is reduce the influence. However, please do not take it the wrong way or go to the extreme. Lets say that even if you are considered a Strong Water, does that mean that you cannot have metal? Remember that Feng Shui is about balance, and it is best to have a little of everything. This means that if in your Pillars you find that you do not have any Earth, then you should still try to create some earth by wearing some earthly colour or use Fire to produce what you lack. Why should you still have some unfavourable elements? If you have done a full Pillars, you will notice that there are 10 deities, these 10 deities are actually represented by the five elements, of which 5 is direct version and the other 5 is indirect type of deities. Say if you are a water element, but you do not have any fire. This means that you will lose out because you will never have any wealth deities in your favour. Instead, if you another person has a perfect balance pillars, he will enjoy help from the every deities, and that is good, because whatever he wants to do, he can make use of the influence of the related deities:) This is what I meant when I always say that you have to try to enhance yourself. If you can bring yourself in balance, you will enjoy a great deal from the various elements:) Only then could you really be lucky, successful and wealthy. This is why Pillars of Destiny which deduced your heavenly luck is a very useful chart. Without knowing it, you will not be able to harness the best of your destiny. However, it is often the use of these various tools together that you can harness the best Feng Shui for your life and home! Hope that helps:) Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Hi, Please read below:- This is a very good question:- Whether a tragic event would happen or not, depends very much on how bad the situation is. You see how tragic events happens is when there is a compounded series of sha qi which is working against a person. Say for example, in his Pillars if he is destined that during a certain year, events in the environment does not favour him. In addition, his house has an inauspicious star which flies into the sector. Which again does not favour him. Also, maybe there are some shapes and form influences which also bring in additional sha qi. If say under this situation, a bad event is bound to happen. Unless of course, the person takes correct corrective measure for his house, his own personal destiny and the sha qi from the shapes and forms. However, what these cures would do is to greatly reduce the influence, given that he is still in a unfavourable year, what would happen is that he may not be able to avoid it, but instead get the best out of it. This is way, sometimes, no matter how you try to cure it does not work effectively. It is because you are destined to have to go through that disaster. You see, sometimes you see Feng Shui Masters in the past, predict that so and so would not live past certain age, and indeed that is what happen. This is because a person's destiny has a great influence on a person. And in the past it is pretty difficult to fight against the odds. However, in modern times, some of these can be avoided or reduced (at best). It is often not really possible to get rid of it completely. Thus, if a proper audit was done, what might have been changed is that the extend of the difficulties which a person might face is greatly reduce and possibly avoided. It can be totally avoided if he is in a good period under the Pillars, but may not be avoided if he is in a bad period. A good Feng Shui Audit or reading is not that simple. However, I am sad to say that we have seen many cases where the practitioner are not doing Feng Shui for helping others but rather to make more money for themselves. Often we have seen that practitioner with this attitude ask their "clients" to buy tons of unnecessary crystal, wind chimes, mirrors and more! And the result after placing those items, the owner does not feel comfortable and in fact disaster strikes one after another because the "so call cures" in fact make it worse. Why is it so it happen when I got a Practitioner did a home audit? 1. Yes, possible the practitioner did a flawless Flying Star. Or maybe he only use a Eight House or his own personal intuition. However, many times, without looking a person's life, such as the birth element, cures used for curing the sector can do adverse harm if it does not suit the home owner. For example, if the home owner is a strong wood, then the cures implemented are adding lots of plants, these would cause the owner to be further strengthened, and instead of curing the sector, the owner may find that he fall sick frequently and many disaster will strike one after another due to compounded effects of cures. 2. The practitioner sometimes want to make quick bucks so tell you you need to buy a several fish tank, fountains, crystals, etc. And you end up with putting a wind chime in each sector of the houses, and find that when you are done, you have more then 10 crystals, 8 wind chimes etc. And it cost a bomb. But instead of getting good results you get disaster after disaster. And lots more reasons to that. Personally, we feel sorry for the clients who had been affected by such a "unethical practice". But as to the question whether a disaster could be avoid, the answer is very likely. But proper cures has to be done, and it is a series of cures rather then a single cure which can reduce or avoid the disaster. What can be learnt from this? A good Feng Shui solution is not difficult but in order to assess a home properly, many aspect has to be taken in, and only with experience can a problem be identified and cured. Thus, we normally do not recommend any "fast food feng shui". Remember, Feng Shui is very powerful, and if done wrongly can be disastrous. So be careful about applying cures which you know very little about. As the saying goes " little knowledge is can be very dangerous ". Hope it helps:) Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Sue, Please read below:- ----- Original Message ----- From: Listmanager To: Sent: Wednesday, July 07, 1999 3:42 AM Subject: Main door Normally you should stand in the center of the house out of the main door. However, if you do that sometimes, there is some magnetic field which shifts your compass needle a bit. Which is why, sometimes a reading from the outside is needed to confirm that the compass is not affected by the building structure. However, if you use a shielded compass, then this would not matter. Please check Cecil's compass method. This is quite accurate and easy. This elminates many of the problems of the standing outside. Dear Jason, Please read below:- ----- Original Message ----- From: Listmanager To: Sent: Tuesday, July 06, 1999 11:33 PM Subject: Wealth Elements The element which you destroy is your wealth element. However, although I can generally deduce the element is represented by it, in order to deduce whether it is main wealth or unexpected wealth, you need to refer to the Pillars as a condition is required to deduce it. Hi, Frankly so far, I don't think there is anything written in the past (nor the present) on the use of water beds and metal beds. As I mentioned in a few forum messages that the original use of Feng Shui caters more towards Feng Shui Masters locating a site for a city e.g. Canton or many other Chinese Cities. Following this, their concern is with a site within a city and perhaps an overall location of a village. The closes to the bed is the use of the Shapes and Form School of Feng Shui and the use of Compass School techniques such as the Eight House and the Flying Star. What does all this mean? Feng Shui is all about trying to enhance beneifical qi or to neutralise Sha Qi. It is anyone's guess at this moment how beneficial water beds or metal beds are. The simple argument is that as these objects were not invented in the past, there are no comments arising from the `dead' Feng Shui Masters. Perhaps, you may want to ask some Maverick Feng Shui wanabe to create some marketing out of it and call these Feng Shui friendly furniture. In my opinion, many Feng Shui practioners in this century will want to sell you anything. Why not? They earn big bucks out of it. So can we rely on the words from these Feng Shui authors or practioners whose purpose, I believe is to sell these items? Lets look more on the practical side of Feng Shui based on Shapes and Form:- 1. Best that the bed is not circular in shape. 2. Use a King sized or Queen sized bed rather than two pieces joined together for a couple. Other than this, " it is free for all " at the moment to `dream' of a new Feng Shui Principle based on metal/wood/water beds? Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi, Under the shapes and form school, the main concern is to "protect" your main entrance door and especially and windows along this frontage. Therefore, for the main door, one test is to stand at the main entrance door and look out. If the cross is on the same level or directly cutting the main entrance door, this is considered a sha qi or poison. Normally, the cross should be higher level, and it would usually affect your house if it is more then one storey high. And for such cases, the most easiest cases is to use a set of blinds or thicker curtains. This is based on the principle that if you cannot see the sha it is no longer a threat. Usually, the most common threat is a lamp post. Here as the lamp post is considered by many Hong Kong Feng Shui practitioners consider this as a fire element threat. This is why many Hong Kong Feng Shui practitioners ask their clients to place a Fish Tank in the room that overlooks this threat. As you are aware, water in general destroys Fire. So this indirectly counteract the sha qi. Actually, there is another third element in the water which is the fish to counteract, the wood element as the lamp post is complex. The Lamp post is tall and thin, and some Feng Shui Masters instead consider it as a wood element. What can we learn from above? You will notice that some Feng Shui professionals use fish tank sparingly and not simply place a fish tank for the sake of earning extra money. Another point you need to know here is that, usually under feng shui, fish tanks are used mostly by traditional feng shui practitioners as cures rather than enhancers. Contrast this with a fountain and a waterfall as they are fast moving and are considered more as enhancers. There are Feng Shui practitioners who question the use of placing a fish tank for two reasons. 1. What happens if the fishes die? 2. By pouring away water from the fish tank when cleaning the fish tank, it is symbolic of pouring away wealth (water). However, generally water is considered as wealth, but under different circumstances, water is not necessary a person's wealth. For example, a Earth element person's wealth is water, but this is not true for others. Also, in I-Ching Water symbolises difficulties. Therefore, if it is at the wrong location of the house, again just like wind chime, it would do more harm then good. You should also be aware that too much water is considered too yin, and too much yin is the house is inauspicious as yin normally represents weak and sickness. For example, houses with blue roofs is never recommended, because it is like water on top of you, which means you face lots of problems. Hopes this helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Hi, Please read below:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/music.htm However, I personally feel that certain music are soothing to a person, and this does help a person relax. In Singapore, for example, in certain Chinese bookstore, eg. The Commercial Press located at Victoria Street, have a small collection of music which was packaged for Feng Shui and Yin / Yang Music. Some of these are quite interesting. There is one for relief of constipation, headache, overweight, stress etc. For those who are in Singapore, you can find such music available in stores, even in Popular Bookstore at Bras Basah Rd. Hi, Please read below:- Usually it is a 3-legged frog with a coin in its mouth. As Cecil has mentioned, Feng Shui is not about religion or statues worship. Many Feng Shui or Feng Shui related shops are marketing oriented and sell a wide variety of products which claims that by buying the product and placing it in your home, it brings you luck. Therefore, it is not part feng shui. If you want to place it, I guess it best displayed in your living room and based more on your instincts. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Hi, On the contrary, I think that it is irresponsible not to help out injured person if you are able to. Because any help that one can offer could save a person's life. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

HI, Please read below:- I think that is more of a superstition than Feng Shui. Personally, I do not think there is anything about traditional Feng Shui about this. If anyone have any other opinion on this, feel free to share it.

Please read below:- Luk Fak Sau, or in romanized and more commonly called "Fu Lu Shou". Fu - Prosperity Lu - Luck Shuo - Longevity It is supposed to bring you prosperity, luck and longevity. Normally, it normally good to display in the living room or any auspicious sector (not in the bedrooms) in hope to bring in more good luck and fortune for the family. However, it is more of a Chinese symbol of good luck rather than Feng Shui. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Hi, Please read below:- I believe you can see our stand in such matters. There is no such general tips that actually helps to enhance a person. The only true and effective way is to enhance one's self. Say for a weak water, wood is good and fire is a person's wealth. If you want to enhance wealth, you need to be with more of your wealth elements. If you want to enhance your weak self, say if you are frequently sick, then a good way is to enhance your water with wood. These information are normally found when you do a full pillars. And basing of the many information found in the report. It depends on what you want to enhance, then make provision by being with these elements. This is the only true way to improving your luck, wealth etc. There is no such quick solution by putting some item in a wealth corner designated by say East. These are never true. If you ask any of the many users who have tried these general tips out, you will find a common responds: " I have tried the many tips and suggestions found in many books, website etc, but they do not seem to work! " The simple reason is because they are not personalised to you. How can you expect putting a candle/rose in the SW corner for the Relationship or Romance corner and expect your romance to be improved? All these also depends on a person's efforts, Feng Shui often helps indirectly, seldom directly. But only when you can balance your elements or activate your personal deities. This is why, we often stress that many times general tips:- 1. DO NOT personalise to a person. 2. ARE STATIC models. 3. ARE INCOMPLETE solutions which haven't taken in to account many areas. 4. ARE FAST FOOD FENG SHUI. If done wrongly, many cause more problems to you than not doing anything about it. So we like to advise users to be very careful when you want to take up these general Tips! Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Hi, Please read below:- You can hang anything you want. The only thing is when you want to be concerned with Feng Shui, then you would want to hang items which are good for you rather then bad for you. Say if you a a weak wood, then hanging water type objects is beneficial for you because it is your favourable elements that help you grow. Say if you are Earth person, then hanging water type objects represents your Wealth as Earth destroy Wealth. However, please note that you should be a strong Earth to have full benefit of this because, when your earth is used to destroy water element, it gets weaken also. So it all depends. Nothing in the world is all bad. It is bad to certain people, but good for others. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Hi, Please read below:- Actually, all shapes are good shapes, it depends more on who the logo is designed for. Say for a company the element of the person running the company is water, then their wealth is fire, thus sharp shaped objects such as triangle is good shape for it. So for business logo, it is a little different. Often it has to be especially designed to cater to the competitors etc. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Hi, Please read below:- Actually, if you look at it realistically. Why do you ever want to put a painting or candles in the bathroom? I mean won't the steam from hot/warm water, damage it or put our the candles? So far from what I know of this, I don't find anything wrong with having shower curtains. I don't think that belongs to any Feng Shui related issues. The rational behind it is that if you notice that flying star always changes, and it is definitely possible for the bad stars to fall in any one of the true sectors (eg 0 degree, 45 degree etc). So when this happens the good chi which say happens to be southwest this year would go down the drain? So, because of this rational, it is termed that the toilet should best be avoided in any of the true directions. However, if you look at in another way, if the bad stars fall in a toilet, it can be flushed down the toilet bowl so it is not that bad as well. What you have mentioned relates to the static marriage sector. Not sure which you are referring to but I am guessing it is the static Eight Association. If it is, I think you can safely ignore it, because it does not really matter or is considered minor problem. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Ber, Please read below:- Thank you for your encouragement. Don't need to resent this mail. We have not forgotten it. It is just that we answer mails not based on the time it was sent but rather the content of the mails. If you really want to you may want to do a numerology for the date of birth, that should also give you some lucky numbers. You can download the Free Feng Shui Software from the website, there is a numerology software which analyses the natal number for you. URL: http://www.geomancy.net/software/index.htm Just remember to key in the Lunar Birth Date rather then the Solar Birth Date, as I have no time to put in the conversion module yet. For the colour, please use the Five Element Cure modules to determine the suitable element. The matching Pillars unfortunately is not so simple, even if you can find another person which is belonging to your favaourable element, it does not mean that the pillar is compatible. However, generally, a quick guide that you can follow is that if another person you are comparing with is your favourable element, it is likely that you would be comfortable together. URL: http://www.lovesigns.net In order to relate them to feng shui, you should convert the animal signs to five element concepts, then you can relate the type of elements and how to improve them. However, I must also caution you regarding relationship, there is not easy way for making relationship ok, it takes some personal effort of the individual, plus maybe a little help from favourable elements which helps bind the elements together to reduce the conflict. One easy was to check it out, is that I have created a Pillars comparision module which is able to deduce the relationship. Just login to your account to generate a report for that. Hi, Please read below:- This is because the main door of the office or the house is considered as the the heart of the house. It is where you get in and out of the house, so the qi which we are considered is very important to be associated with the main door. If bad qi (sha qi) is present in that sector, it means that sha qi would be circulating in the house, otherwise if good qi is present, the house will have good qi present. This is the reason why the main door has to be good:) So, this is already a lot of time that you are located in that room. So if you stay in a room with lots of sha qi, it is likely that you will meet with misfortune. Thus, it is very important, after the main door to have a good room. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Hi, Please read below:- For example of the material of the wind chime is metal, and there is 5 rods, this means that the wind chime is a earth-metal wind chime. Generally, 2,3,4,5 are associated very closely with the inauspicious stars, and if you hang this in location which has a star 2,3,4,5 you are likely to trigger the influence of these stars thus causing bad influences. It is not so much that solid wind chime or even that say star 5 wind chime is not useful. You have to be careful as to where you are putting it. If place correctly, the element influence which you are looking for will remove the inauspicious influence based on the element composition of the wind chime. Warmest Regards Robert Lee
