  1. Dear Anon, Apologise for the inflexibility of the forum to allow for `Yesterday' messages. The current version of the forum cannot allow us to do open scripting or change its features. The new version can but we had checked that it has too many bugs and is very unreliable. We will wait for all the bugs to be fixed and patched before even consider using it. Therefore, once this is done, we will use the latest version and implement lots of user friendly features. Thanks for your kind understanding. Like the saying goes.. `It does not pay to be hasty' and I believe in quality. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  2. Dear Desma, The first thing we need to know is that Feng Shui is about balance. For small objects or items such as a ring, it really does not matter. I usually apply the 33.3 percent ruleset. Where, if the item is not greater than the above either in mass, volume or area, it does not really matter that much. Furthermore, I believe, the sharp corners of the diamond should not pose any problems. A square diamond ring, can be considered of the `Earth' element if we talk interms of its shape and some would consider that it is derived from the earth, it is thus an Earth element. (Square shape represents Earth element). In some other culture perhaps, I am not sure if square diamonds are considered `inasupicious'. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  3. Dear Anon, It depends on the cirumstances. Usually, those who require free assistance i.e. will be asked to post to conference OFF-SITE Home Audit (for financial or hardship Only) Here we feel we are able to help those in need and at the same time, others can hopefully learn from it. Will be opened to the public. However, the users can if they choose, use anonymous accounts or click as Anonymous. For other consultations, these are private and not shown in the forum. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  4. Dear Kate, We will continue to help you. There is a Offsite consultation package of a token sum of US$25.00 cases like yours. Later Robert will help you with the rest. The reason why, I did not go further into the details is that we have analyse your element and strength first, plus do a Flying Star analysis. The above will be combined together with further details you had provided earlier on the `Shapes and Form'. This is because, cures to e.g. neutralise e.g. poision arrows or your interior has to be take into account especially the above. Apologise if I did not mentioned the above first. You are correct to use the curtain to cover the window first. Let us go thru your details carefully first. As mentioned Robert will email you privately soon. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  5. Dear Madan, Grateful if you can elaborate further on: 1. Please check what is the inauspicious intangible force at the bedroom. 2. Is the room close to two sectors e.g. such as North and NE or North and NW or is it only located at the North. 3. Please take note that under the Eight House Theory, one should be more concern if one spents most of the time at the location. Rather than if the location is an inauspicious sector. For example, if it is the disaster location and you are sleeping away from it and closer to a less inauspicious sector or an auspicious sector. This is ok. The Eight House works mostly on the priciple that it has to be `activated' by the individual or an activity. For example, if the death/disaster lines at the main entrance, it is preferred to close it. This is an "activity" function. However, the overriding consideration is if you are using other Feng Shui theories especially the Flying Star. Then, Eight House theory takes a `back sit' to the Flying Star Theory. Other than the various considerations under Eight House. I mentioned recently that the position of the bed etc.. must first confirm to the Shapes and Form School before applying the Eight House Theory. As our discussion only centres on the Eight House, you have to note the above limitations when using the Eight House. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  6. Dear Anon, Please e-mail to: robert-lee@3dmail.com , we will provide with free credit for "paid " tools ie. a credit for Flying Star and Pillars of Destiny element strength for you to use to help in finding out what's wrong. Don't worry about, the need to shift house. Usually, it can be `cured'. First get the reports. Thanks. Cecil
  7. Dear Anon, You brought up a very interesting question. My views are as follows:- 1. It has to depend on the quality of the Feng Shui " Master ". Many people simply give themselves title the Master title. Most people who are naive will equate all Masters to be equal. I believe it is best to go to the `root' of the situation by employing a reputable Feng Shui Master/ Practioner either through word of mouth or by their `reputation'. I believe that "You pay for what you get." 2. The best Feng Shui practioners are those who are willing to help others (of course with a fee involved). Contrast this to those who only want to earn money at their expense. Again this is difficult to differentiate if you do not know or have little knowledge of the person. In such a situation, they may not intentionally do you harm but rather, their advise can be damaging. Sometimes leading to even death of a member of the family. 3. If one do not agree with the FS practioner, you have every right not to follow his instructions. Here, sometimes our personal feelings are more `powerful' than the practioners. I suspect here that there is little trust between the two. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  8. Dear John, Sorry about it. Yes, you are correct. Warmest Regards, Cecil I saw her Thanks, John Dear John, So far, down under, I am Warmest Regards, Cecil On That's sort 1. Do you know 2. Given my Once again, thanks for John :)
  9. Dear Anon, It is very difficult for me to comment as I really need to see a drawing of it. As an indent can be a large area or narrow etc... This is only to determine whether there is indeed an indent. As for cures, these are limited. For indents there are frankly no `miracle' cures for such `flaws'. Cures differ also if it is a landed property or a flat. For example if it is a landed property, one can do some landscaping to create a profile of the missing corner. Or place a light to brighten up the place. For a flat or apartment, cures are limited to e.g. placing mirrors to `extend' the missing corner. If you can, try to give me a sketch the layout and upload to the forum as I need to see the full layout plan in order to make further comments. Furthermore, placing mirrors also depend on other schools of Feng Shui such as the flying star. If it is an inauspicious sector, placing mirrors may bounce back double the luck. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  10. Dear Anon, 1. Thanks very much for your encouraging words. I like to take the opportunity to comment on the following:- 2. I believe that the Internet has opened something never possible before i.e. to share our experiences and learn from it. 3. We all must make this tool work constructively for all of us. 4. I also believe that as more more join this forum, there will always be some with differences in opinion and it is good to share them constructively. 5. Almost every day, there are on average more than 10 persons who joined this forum. Therefore, we seek the understanding of those who have been in this forum for quite sometime to be patient. 6. Some who are new to the forum may not be `firm' believers of Feng Shui and I believe messages may have to be `adjusted' to the question i.e. if the question concerns their Eight House, the answer is tailored to answer that question with reference what is available and applied under that theory or concept unless there are more to learn from other examples. 7. For those who are new to this forum, it is good that you review the resources pages on this website or find out more e.g. from books on Feng Shui. Alternatively, if you do not want to read the forum messages can always do a SEARCH using the forum icon for a specific topic. 8. For those who are new and immediately posts questions like " Where is my wealth corner " or " My date of birth is 12 - 02 - 58 .... please advise me "; should instead do your own homework first before posting these "messages". As this is a moderated forum, such messages may be deleted and not posted to this forum. 9. Optional tools have been developed for this purpose to be accurate / provide complex analysis by taking the chore out of tedious computation. Time is precious and I rather spent time doing more detailed analysis work or doing more research or writing courses. Alternatively, go consult Feng Shui practioner if anyone wants a Quick Fix solution. Or for those who are impatient and prefer to read page by page of books and start doing their enhancements ... no one is stopping them. 10. My answers will depend on the question posed. For example, if it helps more to learn and understand, you will expect a detailed response. 11. But questions such as shown above is too general as there are lots of theories involved. It is not `fair' for me to again and again elaborate on what each theory does for the individual. I believe there are sufficient of these already in this forum. my advise, do a SEARCH. Therefore, for those who do not do their `homework' do not expect homework to be done for them. I still get lots of such "selfish" individuals who only e-mail me privately asking for such advise. I believe, they only want what's good for them only and careless about sharing real life information. If these people do not help themselves first, who is going to help them? 12. It will help a great deal and we can then concentrate on replying to questions that are usually not asked before to help users understand concepts better. This is what progress to the next `higher' level is all about. I hope that above guidelines would be beneficial to all users here. As there are to-date over 8,000 users and growing. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  11. Dear Anon, This is found under the Five element cure's computerised module which analyses in detail with all other elements, I would not elaborate further. One's time should be spent productively. The other point to take note is it also depends on the element of influence for the period. For example, under the Pillars Luck period, if the season `supports' the season of e.g. fire, it will further increase the fire element and create e.g. health or competition at work. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  12. Dear Chetan, Thanks for your clarifications. It is good for you to read up on Shapes and Form School Feng Shui. It relates to the positioning of the bed. URL: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/bedroom.htm I believe you should spent sometime going thru the materials on Shapes and Form in the above webpages or get a book on Shapes and Form. This is because, it is more important to take into consideration Shapes and Form and give second priority or be concerned whether your bed should be at north west or south east. Other topics on the website includes the kitchen etc... It is also good for you to look at some of the examples of the eight house at http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house2.htm I believe, it is good for you to read up as much as you can. I know the materials can be overwhelming but it is better to start with a `solid' base. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  13. Dear Berth, Currently, it is difficult to imagine the loft you mentioned. Therefore, I can only provide feedback on certain aspects. 1. A straight staircase to the loft is not as desirable as one with a landing and turns. 2. The higher the vaulted ceiling, the better, but a 20 feet height is ideal. 3. Painting the ceiling like a sky, especially in blue, may result in problems, especially for the breadwinner. 4. If you are concerned about marriage, consider doing a Flying Star chart, especially if the inauspicious sector is in your bedroom. 5. Having a window in the house is good, and it's acceptable to place a curtain. Congratulations on your new home and best wishes to you and your family! Warmest Regards, Cecil
  14. Dear Anon, This depends on the country they stay. I believe that nowadays in China, the incident of pet dogs got stolen is minimal. Mostly, these are stray dogs where some mainland Chinese catch and eat. Otherwise, there are few exotic shops that trade in or buy dog meat. The Shitzu (I hope I spelt correctly) this intelligent dog `originated' from China. In my country, you will be surprised to learn that many are prepared to buy expensive imported pedigree dogs as pets. Dogs are not openly eated here. In Singapore, the Malay race, instead do not rear dogs at all because they find them dirty. Nor do they eat pork as they felt that this is a `dirty' animal. In other countries like Taiwan etc... rearing dogs are very common. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  15. Dear Tam, 1. For the kitchen, even in Traditional Feng Shui practise, there are many `controversies' relating to the location of the stove. And even confusion over the stove or on the entire Kitchen. 2. One of the reasons is because there is (no where in the house) that has the two water and fire elements `close by'. Please see below:- A. Some practioners say that the Kitchen (plus stove) should be the auspicious sector for the breadwinner. Some say that it should be more important for it to be the auspicious sector for the spouse (who uses the kitchen). It is not wrong for some practioners to say that the stove can be at an inauspicious sector as it burns the inauspicious intangible force. An opposing view is that the stove should be at an auspicious sector as this is the location where we cook. Both sides can argue on and on. In my opinion, the general agreement is that and mentioned widely is that one has to `look out ' for the knobs. The neutral position is one where it faces the ceiling. If not, it should normally face inwards (from the main entrance door). Facing inside the house instead of facing outwards. My opinion is that as we can understand from the Eight House theory is that the location one spents most time should be an auspicious sector. Under the Eight House Theory, it is thus less important that the kitchen is an inauspicious for the breadwinner if he/she does not spent some time there e.g. cooking a meal. Furthermore, from many past audits and experience, I found that there are few problems or cures required in the kitchen. Far more problems are created elsewhere. If you know what I mean. Such as poision arrows aimed at a house, bad flying star numbers etc... Given so many Feng Shui and related cross references, the kitchen is less of a problem today. More importantly, keep the water position away (if possible) or have a space between the stove and the frige or basin. In addition, more importanly, the stove has to have a backing or solid wall. No windows. I have covered `most' of this above. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  16. Dear Anon, To find out the significance of missing corners at each compass direction / sector please refer to: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/building.htm If you can draw a layout plan, you can upload to this site and I can let you know which is a missing corner or protrusion. (Ideally it is a scanned layout i.e. one can see the profile of layout if you can for a clearer view). Otherwise, it is hard for me to comment further as usually not all layout plans are the same. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  17. Dear Anon, I cannot blame you for being so confused as to where to hang Christmas lights after reading here and there. This is because, based on what you wrote, all the understanding is not correct. 1. Grand duke theory states that one should not: a. Touch `him' b. Distrub him. I can in general understand one may consider lights `disturbing' him but it should not be the case. 2. 5 Yellow is based on this Year's Flying Star Chart where south = 5 Yellow. Again, this is based on a general assessment that every household must be careful of 5 Yellow. This `theory' is too general to be applied and is not tailored to the individual. I believe, at this point in time since you are not sufficiently versed in Feng Shui. It is better to instead, for now go with your instincts. In the past, if you have always placed your christmas tree here, then in general, go ahead with it. It is far worse to know little and get worried placing things or objects around the house. Until you have understand more, then perhaps you can explore Feng Shui further. Else, my advise is to continue to read up slowly and progress from here. Like an Anon mentioned, one must not rush into things. A plant news to grow gently. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  18. Dear Glenys, It is good that for you try to use the Eight House Theory. The instructions are at: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm A free computerised version of the Eight House is at www.geomancy-forum.com The Eight House can be personalised to an individual and will show your four auspicious and inauspicious sectors. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  19. Dear Linh, Congratulations on your new home and thanks for the detailed description. Based on just the Shapes and Form School in relation to elevation, it is good to have the house slightly higher than its `surrounding'. Therefore based on what you had written, can be considered auspicious. Sometime back, there was an example from a Feng Shui author (I forgot which book) but the author mentioned that it is auspicious to have the car drive up to a higher level. The poor thing was that the car was driven above steps and in the result was that the car had higher repair bills. Some Feng Shui practioners asks some to walk up stairs (symbolic of a raise). I leave it to each of us to decide if there is any basis for this. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  20. Dear Glyn and fellow users, Glyn has a good point in the use of colours. Some of you have noticed that I coined a term called the `33.3 percent rule set'. For example, this helps one to know whether a sector has a missing corner or not or if using a `cure' or even a `threat' such as water is overwhelming or not. Using colours is `effective' because it can cover large areas e.g. painting a wall green. Based on the 33.3 percent rule, this `cure' or enhancement can be greater than 33.3 percent. Similarly wearing clothing can cover more than 33.3 percent of our body surface. But wearing a ring etc... does not exceed a "tiny bit". Again, one has to be careful, and must find a balance as FS is all about balance. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  21. Dear Vickie, I am not sure if have read this write-up on Cate Bramble's site at: http://www.loop.com/~bramble/fengshui/confess.html (Confessions of Lin Yun). Within this page there are links to an article devoted to Lin Yun also. One should not place a Ba Gua especially inside a room or office. This will create Sha Qi. This website does not discuss on Black Hat Sect or BTB is an "off-topic" More authentic traditional Feng Shui theories such as Eight House (for personal directions) and other more advanced theories like Flying Star (for the office) and for the individual i.e. Pillars, I believe would help more. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  22. Dear Anon, One good example is at http://www.geomancy.net/fs/grandpa1.htm This type of house has to eventually be pulled down i.e. demolished and rebuilt. Usually, the senario is like this: 1. The breadwinner will die shortly after it is constructed. 2. Other family members will have a hard time `keeping' it although the next breadwinner will not die but will have lots of difficulty. 3. If this second breadwinner (usually the inheritants) does not sell the house, it will be `forced' sell e.g. bankrupt or near bankrupt. Near bankrupt if he sells early and avoids this. 4. If the house is sold to another party, this party will have financial problems and will eventually have to sell the house. Once sold, the house has to be demolised and rebuilt. 5. There are also some houses that are not `fit' for human living. I shall not go into this maybe in the future. As most houses we are living in does not come under such situations. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  23. Dear Anon, Thanks for sharing with all of us your personal experience. The reason why, I adapted all the various schools is because of experiences I had with many users in this area. 1. Most of the time, if one is `lucky' and it happens that an audit was carried out on a house without or bad Shapes and Form. In such a situation, no one knows the better. Believe me, on many occassions last year, the year before and even this year, I had to re-analyse houses done even by Feng Shui practioners. For example, these practioners only `mastered' Flying Star and many learned from a single master. Unfortunately, most of these houses like Anon had mentioned thru her personal experience have other `problems' e.g. poision arrows etc... Imagine, even if Feng Shui practioners can make `fatal' errors by just learning and applying only what they learn... it is again a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. 2. That is why, what one theory lacks, it is cross checked by using another theory. 3. I agree with Glyn and many others who support the Flying Star is by far one of the best theories. Glyn has stated this to create awarness. She does practice and combine the rest of the theories. This site has created sufficient awarness of such factors. 4. As I mentioned in an earlier message that there are varying degrees of `users' here. From those who had used our `two' earlier forums and read most of the messages to those who had joined this forum very recently. Some may be curious about Feng Shui, while some may not know the `culture' within this forum. Others may sub-guess our intentions. Therefore, in my personal opinion, it is even more of a challenge. 5. I believe, for those who are with us for quite sometime or if you feel you know more, feel free to post your `arguments'. It is good to state what you feel and in conclusion, state what you believe and leave it to each individual to decide for themselves. 6. If we are polite and if we do this, we can continue to learn from each other without the `after effects' of Flames that are widespread in other forums. 7. I will be most happy if your `arguments' are correct and this will spur us to understand Feng Shui at a higher level and even from a different perspective. 8. This is why, also when someone recently asked to provide `objects' for each `cure' enhancement situation. Firstly, I do not believe in spoon feeding for the following reasons: a. Where possible, it is best not to spent extra money. For example, I really pity those who are already having financial problems and someone giving advise to buy this and buy that. We should focus on what we have existing and see if we can make use of them. b. In addition, not two situations are identical. So spoon feeding does not lead a person to learn or understand but to be `mechanical'. I am very glad to have associated with this Anon and Glyn as both have an open mind and these are hallmarks of becoming in the near future, Great Feng Shui practioners:) Warmest Regards, Cecil
  24. Dear Anon, Lets review some points relating to high rise buidling hope each of us come to our own conclusions: 1. The fact is that buildings have gone higher and higher. Much higher than anyone in the past has dreamed. 2. I am not sure if there is any controversy over this but if so, it has to be people (or FS practioners) in recent times that brought up the issue such as whether, the higher one goes in a high rise, the greater the illness? If so, there will be two opposing camps over this. 3. From my personal experience, encounters and even reading up various view points on Flying Star numeroloy, so far no one has yet give caution that the higher we go, stars such as #2 and #5 will become more severe. If we follow this `logic'. What it means is that if one stays at 2nd storey, and at the same sector with #2 and #5, perhaps one will get a cough. So is there an incidence that, someone on the save block but on a higher storey/floor e.g. 15 floor, suffer from fever and severe headaches while someone at 30 floor, would have to suffer from terminal illness? 4. There is not much research into this area. Perhaps it is true? or not true? 5. In Singapore, especially large corporations which own tall buildings such as the financial sector. What happens if mostly top management occupy these floors? And it happens that the CEO's office is located at #2 and #5. Will he die a `painful' death. 6. Currently we will not know. But, it is in my opinion, based on such an analysis and there are no caution by so many past / dead or even those FS Masters who are alive. 7. Perhaps, we should take a closer look at the House Number Flying Star and see if we can make full use of it to see if it can be applied effectively to further analyse flats/office on a `vertical' cross-slice. As there are lots of users here, we can see if this theory does help us further in our quest to `fine' tune the Flying Star theory. 8. Do take note that the House Number Flying Star can be used to analyse not only house numbers but houses with e.g. #1-10A, #3-10B, #11-10C. 9. After reviewing some of the information listed above, I do feel that the Flying Star House/Building which applies to horizontal analysis still remains i.e. #2 and #5 should be the same intensity whether it is at storey 1 or storey 44. Unless, someone can prove otherwise. 10. I believe another `complexity' is that maybe, just maybe, we have not taken into consideration the Shapes and Form School of Feng Shui in this equation. The Shapes and Form School of Feng Shui has no written record of apartments/flats/ offices which are located in buildings. For example, is it more auspicious to be higher than the lower floor? Is it more auspicious to be at the highest floor where no one is above us? Assuming the above is true, i.e. it is more auspicious to be at the highest floor. Here, we can argue that even if there is #2 or #5, perhaps, the auspicious conditions under Shapes and Form takes precedence over the flying star numerology. Many a times, Shapes and Form has taken over interior analysis of flying star. For example, if the water position behind the house is not `cured', even an excellent house with good Flying Star numbers take precedence over it. I believe, it is up to you to make your own conclusions. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  25. Dear Anon, I believe, Jade is considered one of the precious items to many Chinese. Unlike diamond which is `hard', jade has been said to be `magical' as it is "cooling". To many, they believe that it has `good' effects. I have not researched into this area therefore, have not seen whether there are studies relating to how true it is on the `good' effects. But one thing for sure, real jade is cooling. Again, I am not sure, what the effects are. In the past, I used to see ladies wearing a jade bracelet. I was told that if one wears a good jade, it will become greener and greener. Personally, I have not seen it happened. Because when I was young, my mum let me wear a wear pendant. I remembered or hoping that it changed colour but to-date it never did. I only wear it when I was young. I may have to check the safe-deposit box. But most likely in any event because, I was told that it changes to a darker green if only it is worn. Perhaps, it could be due to oxidation. As jade has hairline cracks and may absorb chemicals e.g. shampoo, soap, washing soap etc.. This could explain some jade change to a darker colour. In an ancient Chinese excavation, one `royalty' was digged up and his or her body was covered from head to toe with `jade' clothing. I think it was small pieces of jade sewed with gold to form an entire `clothing'. The purpose given was to prevent decomposition of the body. If anyone has more to add, we certainly like to hear from you. Do remember that there are no right or wrong answers:) Warmest Regards, Cecil
