What is a switch room? An electrical switch room, sometimes referred to as an electrical equipment room, is a dedicated space within a building or facility where various electrical equipment and devices are housed. Electrical switch rooms house medium voltage electrical distribution equipment. For example, switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, fuse-switches, relays, electrical panels.

Jalan Besar Heritage Jalan Besar & Lavendar Street Originally named Rochor Road in 1846, this street was a dirt track flanked by brick kilns and vegetable gardens. Human as well as animal waste were used to fertilise the crops. As a result of this foul practice, in 1858, a resident made the cynical suggestion that the road be renamed Lavender Street (after an aromatic shrub), which was accepted. The Hokkiens called the street Chai Hng Lai or 'Within the vegetable gardens'. It was also known as Go Cho Toa Kong Si or 'Rochor Big Kongsi' as the main lodge of a kongsi called Thien Thi Hoi was located nearby (kongsi' was once used to denote Chinese secret societies, but it can also refer to self-help groups or companies). The Cantonese called it Kwong Fuk Miu Kai or Kwong Fook Temple Street, after a now-demolished temple built in 1880. In Tamil, the street was known as Kosa Theruvu or Potter's Street. In the 1880s, nearby fields were used for cattle grazing, an activity that led to the building of abattoirs around Jalan Besar. The vegetable gardens vanished by the 1910s. But Lavender Street's foul reputation continued into the 20* century, when pigswill collectors would collect leftovers from houses in the area for mixing with water hyacinths. In 1929, Municipal Commissioner John Laycock (1887-1960) suggested to the laughter of his fellow Commissioners that newly built roads off Lavender Street (the area around Kempas Road) be named after aromatic flowers such as Rosemary and Thyme. The proposal was not accepted. After the swampland between Lavender Street and Jalan Besar was reclaimed in the late 1920s, new shophouses were built along Lavender Street as well as along Hamilton, Tyrwhitt and Cavan Roads. Many of these developments incorporated Art Deco designs, which featured clean lines, graceful façades, continuous windowsills and roof pediments topped by flagpoles. One notable row of conserved shophouses (161 Lavender Street) was built by the Lee Rubber Company, which was owned by Lee Kong Chian (1893- 1967), a rubber and pineapple tycoon who established the Lee Foundation to support educational and cultural causes. Above: Swampland and vegetable farms surrounded Lavender Street for much of the 19th and 20th centuries.

True Way Presbyterian Church Nearby across the street True Way Presbyterian Church is one of the nine churches in Queenstown. The Church was opened in 1961 to replace the old building located at Tras Street. In the Church compound stood a main sanctuary which could accommodate around 150 worshippers, a pastor's quarters, classrooms and an administrative office. Services were initially held in Hokkien and Mandarin because early members of the congregation comprised coolies and their families from Tras Street in Kreta Ayer. English speaking services and a youth congregation started later in 1970 when the English Youth Fellowship was established. The Church underwent major renovations in 1989 and 1997 to cater to its growing congregation. Today, the Church continues to play an important social role in the neighbourhood by providing counselling and education services.

cause i am looking at it, and it is likely that my key collection timing will fall within 7th month period Frankly, this has nothing to do with Feng Shui. Just beliefs. That if a house is EMPTY during 7th month, and if an entity or entities decide to stay during the duration of the 7th month. By going into the house WHEN they "claim it" first i.e. during 7th month; and taking over the house and do defects check or other related things... these entities can be might angry that's all. But if one has a gun on one's head .. that if one does not do certain things .. and if no where else to stay until house is ready.. than take the risks, lah. But if one is able to hold out during this 7th month, then hold out. Note: Chinese 7th month starts on 4 August 2024 and ends on 2nd September 2024.

Hi Cecil, wondering if only height of kitchen cabinet matter which u have mentioned 34 inch. Then other things like shoes cabinet height anything is fine. Is it ? Only the kitchen table top is most crucial and Altar Dimensions: Standard height for any altar: 125cm to 128cm. If a piece of glass is to be placed on the altar, then go for 125cm. Width depends on your needs: 18cm to 23cm or 40cm to 43cm or 59.5cm to 69cm Length: 41cm to 43cm or 59.5cm to 69cm or 71cm or 89cm or 107cm or 148cm For example, a study table height is very uncomfortable if based on the fs dimensions etc

$7.50/-. Ingredients very fresh. Even got a few fish and squid pieces. Some may consider it slightly pricey. As most stalls charge $5/-. I feel is worth it. Acceptable wok hey, can be better. But better than most other stalls. Endorsed by Seetoh Makansutra, also. Inside coffee shop Bristol 8 -
Source & Credit: A growing number of people are ditching their smartphones for 'dumbphones' that only call and text to avoid being in 'zombie mode.' The simple devices have skyrocketed in popularity, as 2.8 million were sold in the U.S. last year with people proclaiming they feel calmer and more present in their ordinary lives.

Is the Sales Brochure Useful? Introduction: For brand new just launched developments, there is no physical site to visit the completed buildings and apartments. 1. The only thing we can do is to visit the show room (which often is close-by to the site) as well as obtain a sales brochure and see the mock-up of the development. As well as try to ask questions from the sales agent (if any). 1.1. We must still try to gather as much information as we can. 2. Summary of Case Studies in this article. If the information is overwhelming. Pick and choose selective articles... 1A & B: Common Rubbish Bin 2A & B: Interior unit Dry Walls 3: Fire at Heaven's Gate 4: Sha Qi or Poison Arrows from Club-house roof-lines 5: 3 Panel Sliding Doors at the Balcony 6: Drainage at the Balcony 7: Air-con Ledges 8: Mixed Developments + Cooling Towers 9: Termite infestations 10: Coffee-shop below or near to unit 11: Water tank at roof-top 12: Lamp Posts, Pillars, Tree Trunks 13: Spice Garden in an EC/condo 14: EC/condo Clubhouse 15A & B: Pneumatic Waste Collection System 16: Look closely at the development's scale model for clues 17: Buying a Mixed development apartment 18: Survey or study facilities surrounding the development 19: Pump Room below a unit 20: Seven Commandments of Stove Placement 21: Is there a potential poison arrow from the neighbours? 22: Should I be concerned with a near-by temple, church, mosque &/or elder care? 23: Is the compass marking on the Sales Brochure accurate? 24: Sites reserved for Schools? 25: Doors face each other? [Main Door/Bedrooms] 26: Unit numbers with 4, 44 or 444 Okay? 27: Stove or sink or WC at the Centre of the house? 3. It is always an excellent idea to spent some time to scrutinise a prospective sales brochure of our potential buy (purchase). 4. Recently, more and more clients have discovered to their shock (horror) that the least expected was the location of the central rubbish bin outside their unit. 5. A year ago; many had purchased a premium unit within the development .. and later shocked to learn that the central rubbish chute (for their entire floor) is just next to their main door! 6. Thus the morale of the story is to check first before signing on the dotted line. 7. In general, most developments have these:- 8.1. A central rubbish collection centre / rubbish bin collection point 8.2. Power Sub-station. Every development usually has one or more of these depending on the size of the development. 8.3. Design of club-house roof-lines / trellis / gazebo / pavilion. Are the designs a "threat" e.g. with spikes or like a razor's edge? Usually these are aimed towards lower storeys. 8.4. Any poison arrows in the form of a sharp corner of another block of neighbouring stack aimed towards one's balcony (hard to cure) or towards one's windows (if any) 8.5. Location of areas like BBQ pits and any impact e.g. the smell from these pits towards a unit.. especially low storeys such as #01 or #02 first or second storeys 8.6. Any tree trunk aimed towards a lower unit e.g. #01 or #02. Unfortunately it may be too late; especially if the development is under construction. 9. There are lots more considerations... 9.1.
