  1. I have spent some time looking through your archives and one thing stands out for me, that is, if one lives in an unconventional or bachelor apartment setting Feng Shui does not work well. This means that a whole segment of the population is cut off from making improvements in their life situation. Is it true that only people who live in houses or large apartments can benefit from applying Feng Shui cures and principles to their dwellings and lives? Is there a book for the rest of us who are not fortunate enough to live in large spaces but would like to improve the quality of our lives using these principles? Can Feng Shui be applied to unconventional floor plans such as trailers, boats and other differently organized settings? It would be nice to know that I am not engaging in a pointless exercise due to my reduced circumstances. Thank you
  2. I have recently purchased a houseboat. This is not a floating home, but a boat that has the features of a small apartment. It is 12ft wide and has a small 9X8ft room that has been added to the top. For Feng Shui it presents a number of problems. 1. The door to the only bathroom is visible upon entering the boat. If I mirror this door as is often suggested, it will reflect the galley (kitchen) rather than anything more scenic. Hanging things from the ceiling is out of the question because the boat is constantly in motion and things tend to rattle around. There is a narrow wall space (about 8 inches)next to the bathroom door that angles out toward the front door. Could I mirror this and paint the door the same color as the surrounding walls to effect a bathroom cure? 2. The bathroom itself is small and the toilet is the first thing seen upon entering. Mirroring the walls is expensive. Can I use mirrored tiles? or Can I arrange a series of different small mirrors on each of the walls? 3. There is a mirror behind the stove, but it stops at my shoulders. Should I get rid of it? or Can I place a different mirror on the door of the cabinet above? I am new to Feng Shui, and I am unclear about how to orient the Ba Gua when moving from room to room. If I enter from my career center and the bedroom on my left is in my knowledge center, how do I locate the BaGua when I enter the bedroom? Do I start all over when I reach that door? That is, upon entering the new room is the wall behind me still the career wall or is it the knowledge wall? Any assistance you could provide would be helpful. LS Mogford
