My bedroom has a "trey" ceiling; they are very popular here, so I could not find a home without one. The ceiling extends flat from the walls of the room for about 2 feet, then rises on an incline for a few feet, then is flat up high in the middle of the room, with a ceiling fan in the middle. To me, this is like sleeping under a beam (the sharp line where the first flat part shifts to being sloped) AND a sloping ceiling, at once. My upper back, where the slope and the sharp line fall when I am in bed, has been killing me since I moved in. What can I do?
