  1. My spouse and I recently purchased a house, and will be moving in about a week. The house has two bedrooms, one in the Southeast and one in the Northeast corners. The Southeast bedroom is located in my "Death" sector, and my daughter's "Irritation" sector, whereas the Northeast bedroom is located in my "Excellent" sector, and my daughter's "Longevity" sector. My question is, since I am to be the main provider in the household, should I take the Northeast bedroom, and allow my daughter to sleep in the Southeast? I have heard (?) that children are less succeptible to "bad Feng Shui." If I take the Northeast bedroom, is there anything I can/should do to make my daughter's bedroom more auspicious for her? And am I correct in thinking that the main provider of the household should choose the more auspicious locations for him/herself, or should I consider each member of the household individually? Best regards, Flannery
  2. I am currently a zoology/biology student, so I keep various exotic animals as pets, including several nonvenomous snakes. I am relatively new to Feng Shui, but I understand that the center of the household is associated with the Snake. My question is: will keeping my snakes in this sector of the house be inauspicious, or will it augment the area in some way? Is keeping snakes in general considered auspicious or inauspicious? I'm very curious about this, and hope you can provide some insight. Thank you!
  3. My bedroom faces South in the Southeast corner of my home. According to my 8-House chart, these are the Disaster and Death corners, respectively. What, if anything, can I do to offset this imbalance?
  4. My new home is a virtual Feng Shui nightmare! I am moving into a large apartment complex at the end of this month, and I have noticed several very troubling things about the layout and surrounding areas. The address is 6171 and the apartment number is 1226. The front door faces due South and is the ONLY thing in the relationship area. The bathroom is in the center of the apartment and the apartment is all but missing a creativity/children area. My DOB is 11-11-1981, and I have a daughter (b. 21 July 2001). Her room faces North in the wisdom/education area and is directly to the West of a balcony. The back of the apartment faces a small stream/wooded area and slopes sharply downward. My front door opens directly underneath a staircase, and there are only 3 windows in the apartment (one of which is a large glass door going onto the balcony). One window faces South, the other 2 North. What can I do to improve this space? I am especially concerned about the Relationship area. Is it bad to have your front door in this area? Unfortunately, there is not a back or side door that I can use as a main entrance. Thank you so much for your time, and I hope I gave you enough information.
