3. Throughout this period, numerous new homeowners, as previously mentioned, begin renovations to align with the conclusion of the 7th month.
4. Below are some intriguing details for those unsure of what to do during the 7th month:-
4.1 Is it possible to visit showrooms to view potential homes?
Certainly. If you do not plan to move in during the 7th month, and if there are soft launches during this period, showrooms may not be as crowded. You may even have the opportunity to view or place a deposit.
4.2 I am waiting to receive my keys. Can I collect them during the 7th month?
If you are not in a rush to start renovations or move in, you may choose to delay collecting the keys to your condo. Typically, the developer will accommodate your request.
However, for (Singapore) property tax purposes, Property Tax commences once the Temporary Occupation Permit (T.O.P.) is issued.
During the period between receiving the T.O.P. and obtaining the keys, the developer usually covers the costs of Property Tax (calculated at a higher rental rate, not the owner-occupied rate).
Upon receiving the keys to your condo, remember to submit the Property Tax form for your new property promptly. This ensures that you will be billed accordingly when the property tax is due. Otherwise, you may need to pay the entire tax upfront and then seek a refund from the developer.
4.3 Can I still consult a Geomancer for an audit during the 7th month?
5. Typically, there should be no issue with this. However, it may vary based on individual beliefs or perceptions of what is considered auspicious or inauspicious during the 7th month.
6. Feng Shui audits can still be conducted during the 7th month, preferably between 8.30 am and 3.00 pm.
After 3.00 pm, it is considered a yin period and may not be as advisable.
