myfs_134307
Hello Master Lee,We plan to convert our Period6 house into Period8 so we are totally constructing a new house.According to the Period8 chart, the lucky houses are those facing SW1 and NE1.Our house can only face S3 or W3 since we have a corner lot. What is the better facing direction between the two?
Staff Cecil Lee Posted September 8, 2008 Staff Share Posted September 8, 2008 1. Totally constructing a new house will definitely guarantee a change to Period 8.2. It is good to understand " a little knowlege is a dangerous thing". For example, if one only considers the superficial i.e. a question like S3 or W3 .. which is better?3. Here, it is not so simple (professionally) to look at the S3 or W3 chart without considering things like:-3.1. a full review of the plot of land to determine whether it is a practical consideration for the "frontage to be at S3 or W3". 3.2 In addition, in some homes, either the sewerage piping may not be changed. Similiarly there is a vast difference of where drainage comes in or out of the home and whether it flows from right to left or left to right.4. These are some of the things needed in a full review. And it is not like ebony S3 or ivory W3. 4.1. Other things include the frontage bathed by afternoon sun?? = W3 etc...Quote:Katrina L. wrote:Hello Master Lee, We plan to convert our Period6 house into Period8 so we are totally constructing a new house. myfs_134307
Thanks for your advice. I guess we really do need to consult with you privately. However our problem is that we have 2 or 3 floorplans and if we consult you, that means we'll pay for each floorplan right? So that's S$688 for a two-storey and additional S$200 for the 3rd storey? We're thinking we'll first decide on which floorplan to use. ?
myfs_134307
Oh just to add, yes the W3 frontage is bathed in the afternoon sun. Is that a good or bad thing?
Staff Cecil Lee Posted September 9, 2008 Staff Share Posted September 9, 2008 1. It is bad Feng Shui alsp to directly face afternoon sun. 2. Please refer to or search for afternoon sun, to find out more, Thanks.
myfs_134307
Hello Master Lee,You say that it is bad feng shui to face the afternoon sun. Our main door faces the West so does that mean our house has bad feng shui - or does it mean that all houses with doors facing the West will have bad luck? Staff Cecil Lee Posted September 23, 2008 Staff Share Posted September 23, 2008 1. Please don't jump to the wrong conclusions.2. Feng Shui also concerns with the amount of sun-light (or direct sun-light) coming into or "soaking into the walls of a home".3. Please check out my previous postings with reference to Para 2. 4. Para 2 has nothing to do with Compass School of Feng Shui. Although, all "leaks" including Para 2 may add up to cause further problems.5. Para 2, is about either the effects of direct sun-light (raditation) or heat (walls soak heat and slowly releases the heat in the evening - especially concern for countries close to the equator).
