myfs_135056
I was in Barnes and Noble for about 3 hours the other night, and read up all about the flying star, in the bible for feng shui and Total Feng Shui. I don't know what you think of these books. But from those books, i got the opinion that you use the compass inside the front door or basically outside the front door to get your basic compass reading and from there you set your pie bagua that you told me about earlier and position your front door-which is basically south on my compass to the front door. So i would align my south front door with the south on the bagua, am i assuming this is correct.I thankyou in advance, much appreciated.Sharon
Staff Cecil Lee Posted October 5, 2008 Staff Share Posted October 5, 2008 1. In my opinion, when you mention "south on the bagua", I may rightly or wrongly come to the conclusion that you are getting a template and placing it over the layout plan.2. If you are considering the "modern commercial invention" of fixed template Feng Shui, where this "joker" prepares a template with markings like: North (career) ....... then, this practise is NON Traditional Feng Shui. 3. As I have mentioned, TRADITIONAL Feng Shui is about taking the correct directions and superimposing say a Flying star chart. If you are applying Flying Star Feng Shui, then South is south, north is north based on the magnetic compass. If not sure, re-read, and re-read again. Alternatively, some of my resources in geomancy.net website shows how to find the centrepoint and try to allocate the Eight House chart on a home layout plan.4. Seriously, you cannot be reading between the lines and since you are doing DIY, just because there was some mention of 6 coins, then you quickly want to implement it.5. Do take note that the Eight House and Flying star belongs to the Compass School Feng Shui. Many do start their charts with the Eight House chart first. I can understand everyone wants to jump in, but as they say Rome is not built in a day! So does your Feng Shui knowlege cannot be in bits and pieces!6. If you have gone thru some of the resources on Eight House, the Flying star chart is usually mapped on top of it.7. Unfortunately, it is not right to practise Fast food Feng Shui!
