1. In my opinion, so long asthe exposed area does not get very high velocity winds most of the time.


2. If your general area is also not too windy or strong gusts of air.


3. And if you often close your main door when not in use, and if there is no direct path from the main door to a window or balcony opening, then frankly there may not be any necessity to have a partition.

No problem in placing a partition so long as:-


1. It has proper support. As those free standing "collapsible" ones or those common "Chinese" 4 seasons panels should be placed with good support. Else if they are made of high quality wood (heavy) they may just fall down and especially hurt a child.


2. Avoid having a partition that has a mirror in it facing the main entrance door.


3. The partition should not "slice" a dining table opposite side of the edge of the partition.
