Hi,

Just want to check if it would be wise to consider left over units in a TOPed condominium project. Conventional wisdom seems to suggest that there must be something wrong with these units, that's why they are still unsold after the project TOP was in 2006...

What's your opinion?

1. Yes, in my opinion, I do agree with you.

2. From past experience, two major concerns come into my mind:-

2.1 Often, many of such unit(s) are affected by "direct" sun-light. For example, many of the units "living areas" face the afternoon sun

2.2Somehow, many people perhaps, felt that for whatever reasons, the Feng Shui of these units are not good. (Especially poor view or facing say the rubbish dump / power station / privacy issues i.e. facing HDB flats or temples or mosques.

2.3 Low floor (storey) and other reasons. Other reasons include some developers perhaps, did not want to do a "force sale". Or someone booked the unit but subsequently failed to get financing or became a bankrupt.

Thank you for your reply. The reason I'm asking is because I'm interested in buying a unit in Gardenvista which TOPed in 2006. The developer has some units still unsold and I'm unsure of the development. How is this condominium in general? Would there be any change in the fengshui when the new condo Jardin is built right at the doorstep?

One of the empty units is facing rifle range road, where there is a cluster of about 4 semi-d terraces with big round window features. I remembered from a tv programme, these windows are akin to having "eyes" looking directly at you all the time and may not be good in a fengshui sense. Any way of countering them?

1. As mentioned, previously, no two homes or apartments are similar. Have a client who had moved in around the TOP period (2006). In fact, last year, they are looking at bigger premises - landed property. Thus, I believe that in general, some of the owners of units are doing well.

2. In the past, early 1960's I used to follow my dad to the Singapore Gun Club where he is a member, there.

This was similar to a story, written by Dr Evelyn Lip, in one of her Geomancy books, where she mentioned that, the owners of a certain home fell very sick and the home was inauspicious. One day, during low tide, a geomancer noticed a piece of rock shaped like a frog's figurine (in the river bed) and it's mouth pointing towards this, home. It is symbolic of a hungry mouth. Which is very similar to what you had mentioned.

Thus, if this looks inauspicious, best to step-aside and look elsewhere. The only way of countering them is that "physically" the house is pulled down.

Or building a high fence? Building a high fence is also considered inauspicious - much like a prisoner in a home. (Based on the concept: If it cannot be seen, it is no longer a threat)!
