myfs_138084
Dear Master Lee, Thank You for this forum! Can you tell me which way this house is facing? The main door faces north but on the west is the front garden, the road and the entire west wall is windows. Thanks Again
Staff Cecil Lee Posted February 12, 2009 Staff Share Posted February 12, 2009 1. Thanks for the illustration sketch. However, there are usually a few more considerations before, one can decide for certain where is the frontage of your home. 2. Please see attachment. 3. In general, from a totally flat 2D perspective, IT MAY look like the frontage is "West". 4. Definitely, you can rule out the frontage of the home as North. Since although the main door is located facing north, it is facing another unit. And the window(s) width looks not as large as those found at the entire stretch of West. 5. If your Living Room and/or even Dining Room is located at BLUE Marking 3 &/or 4, much the better and if your kitchen (back yard area or linen area) is at Marking(s) 5 or 6, again, much the better. As this will boost the idea that your frontage is at West. 6. You did not mention, what is found under BLUE MARKINGS: 1 and 2. (Another home? or Future home at Marking 1? At Marking 2, is it the backyard of your neighbour's home. 7.Frankly, even if we are examing a 2D perspective, it would be best to ascertain what are these Markings 1 to 6. This is only being responsible - to do a proper evaluation. Anonymous wrote:Dear Master Lee, Thank You for this forum! Can you tell me which way this house is facing? Staff Cecil Lee Posted February 13, 2009 Staff Share Posted February 13, 2009 1.The 2-dimension view (top-down) layout plan, shows that most likely the frontage is at West. This is often the case as the Living Room cum Dining room shares the stretch of the window at the West.2. Sometimes, the frontage MAY be a the side with the four trees cum road. But perhaps, most likely, this side of the road may be noiser as the garden here is narrower (than that at the West).3. Thus, based strictly on the layout plan, it looks more likely that the frontage is at West.
