Dear Cecil,

Is it considered a leak if a sewerage pipe (from toilet bowl to septic tank)
running under a kitchen? But the pipe is not under the stove, only running
below the corner of the kitchen.

I want to know you opinion about septic tank around the center of the house.
Is it considered a major leak?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Wasis

1. For your first question, not a major concern so long as the cover for the sewerage hole is fully sealed. As we don't want "gas" e.g. methane to escape from the man-hole.

2. It is never advisable to have the septic tank around the center of the home. Given that logically how do you drain off excess "gas - methane or other gases". Your second question, is a more important concern. While the first can easily be "rectified" i.e. make sure that the gas or dirty air don't flow and contaminate cooked food in anyway.
