Staff Cecil Lee Posted July 23, 2009 Staff Share Posted July 23, 2009 Tampines Court located at Tampines Street 11 was built by the former HUDC - a government initiative to build apartments for the middle income. Today, it is the equivalent of the Executive-Condos like the recently launched The Quartz kinda of type ofhousing. Whileit's sister ex-HUDC estate Waterfront View was sold for$240 psf and now building 4 condominiums on it. While this development was a first time failed attempt at en bloc sale during 2006 to 2008. The pictures show that all it's 14blocks are typically "earth shaped". Earth shapedbuildings are characterised bytypically "squarish or rectangular" with flat roofs. When buying suchan apartment near it; best to scan the environment to avoid buying such homes or apartments if there are buildings associated with the wood element. Wood element homes are tall and thin, much like a tree trunk. Streetdirectory link to the overall map of the site:- http://www.streetdirectory.com/asia_travel/travel/travel_id_8806/travel_site_83751/ Wood or theroots oftrees gets it's nurishment from the"earth".Thusif there are"wood" (tall and thin) not made of wood; then I would prefer to stay in a "wood" apartment vsan earth building. Staff Cecil Lee Posted July 23, 2009 Staff Share Posted July 23, 2009 1. This picture shows the club house. 2. If you look carefully, the clubhouse roof "acts" like a knife slicing towards the ground floor unit's bedroom. 3. The "cure" is like in the example; where the owner uses a day curtain to screen this "poison arrow" from attacking the interior of the apartment. 4. Even a rectangular roof (as in this club house) which is in close proximity to a stack can create a poison arrow towards the apartment.
