MissM
Hi everyone, I understand feng shui plays a part in affecting a person's career, health and relationship matters. I realised my bedroom may have negative feng shui. I hope to seek some advise on how to improve the feng shui in my bedroom with minimum adjustment. I have provided a link on my bedroom layout, some pictures and questions, greatly appreciate all advise. Thank you ! 1) Currently I am sleeping on the lower deck of a double deck bed. The upper deck has been removed, however the grills on the four sides can't be removed. (pls see picture 1 below). Question: I'm not sure if this incompleted bed frame is a cause for bad feng shui. If yes, instead of changing a new bed frame, are there other methods to improve it? e.g adding some fabric to conceal the grills and convert it into a canopy bed? 2) I am sleeping facing a window, with a towel hanging on the foot of the bed grill, blocking my sight to the window. (pls see picture 1 below). Question: a) Is the position of my bed a problem? If yes how to correct it? b) Am I sleeping at a correct direction? 3) There are ceiling hooks for bamboo poles (for clothes) above my head when i'm sleeping. (pls see picture 2 below). Question: Are these hooks a cause for bad feng shui? If yes are there other ways to correct it instead of removing these hooks? 4) Question: Is the positioning of my wall mirror causing any bad feng shui? 5) Question: Can I paint the entire bedroom and the ceiling with light sky blue colour? Double-decker beds: Frankly, in my opinion, there is a wrong misconception of a double decker bed. 1.1 Some say that the person sleeping below (1st level) is like a "sha" qi or a beam. 1.2 What is really a beam. If one looks carefully at a support beam it is usally a horizontal column quite narrow and protrude "downwards". 1.3 If one observes a bunk bed carefully, especially for the person below, it is one large relatively "flat surface" e.g. a full set of evenly distributed springs or older beds come with a flat plank. Doesn't this mimick or look like a flat piece of ceiling? 1.4 Bunk beds have been in use many years back. And even during 1940's many US warships install bunk beds three or even four levels high stacked together! These beds are meant for the enlisted soldiers - while officers are better off.... 1.5 Many who study in university domitories do sleep in bunk beds. 1.6 In land scarce Singapore and Hong Kong during the 1960's to 1970's many homes install bunk beds to maximise space in each bedroom as these bedrooms double-up as study areas especially for a two child family squeezed into a single bedroom. 1.7 Look at Hong Kong also, many people have slept on bunk beds and there are no ill effects such as "retarded" brain etc... 1.8 Today, every enlisted solider work and sleep in their camps and it is very common for 1 out of 2 to sleep on the lower bunk bed. 1.9 Generally, once you taken out the upper bunk bed; visually, the upper frame grillesbecomes an "eye sore" that's all. Some bunk beds can be dismantled by "unlocking" the top frame. Definitely it would look better. 2. Again, generally, the frame normally won't cause any bad Feng Shui; but rather, it affects another form of luck "Man or human luck" i.e. feel good or not so good with such an "ugly" sight. 3. Frankly, this bedroom is already clutered more like a service balcony with clothes and even short pants hanging on such a low ceiling. And adding clother to cover the double decker frame grilles... is not a good idea. Anonymous wrote:3) There are ceiling hooks for bamboo poles (for clothes) above my head when i'm sleeping. (pls see picture 2 below). 3. If I am not mistaken, one side of the hooks & frame is directly above the bed. I strongly believe, if anything else should go; this two clothes hooks should go. Sorry no offence, but, all these hanging of clothings and pants is not my cup of tea. Clean clothes should always be hung inside a cupboard. And used clothes should be kept or folded away. 5. Yes, the bedroom would certainly do with a fresh coat of paint. Or if the whole house looks "dull" or old; best to give the entire home a fresh coat of paint. Usually Flying Star Feng Shui and one's ba zi is looked at to determine what is the best colour for a bedroom. But if this is too much a hassle, then best to paint the bedroom white or light pastel colours like light cream. 6. One of the key success factors is still : clear space and cleanliness in a home cum bedroom. If you are drying your clothes.. best not to dry them in your bedroom hanging it .... around all over the bedroom / bed frame etc...
