sun888_99
Dear cecil,One should not hang the Christmas lights in the East due to the presence of the Grand Duke and West is also not a good location since one should not make changes opposite the Grand Duke. And 5 yellows are in the South so which is the best location to hang the Christmas lights this year? Thanks.
Staff Cecil Lee Posted November 4, 1999 Staff Share Posted November 4, 1999 Dear Anon,I cannot blame you for being so confused as to where to hang Christmas lights after reading here and there. This is because, based on what you wrote, all the understanding is not correct.1. Grand duke theory states that one should not:a. Touch `him'b. Distrub him.I can in general understand one may consider lights `disturbing' him but it should not be the case.2. 5 Yellow is based on this Year's Flying Star Chart where south = 5 Yellow. Again, this is based on a general assessment that every household must be careful of 5 Yellow. This `theory' is too general to be applied and is not tailored to the individual.I believe, at this point in time since you are not sufficiently versed in Feng Shui. It is better to instead, for now go with your instincts. In the past, if you have always placed your christmas tree here, then in general, go ahead with it.It is far worse to know little and get worried placing things or objects around the house.Until you have understand more, then perhaps you can explore Feng Shui further.Else, my advise is to continue to read up slowly and progress from here.Like an Anon mentioned, one must not rush into things. A plant news to grow gently.
