myfs_145997
Hi my husband and I would like to make a seperate "wing" which will house 3 new bedrooms with 2 toilet/bathrooms. We will build this on a lot behind our house and will eventually connect the new bedrooms / "wing" to our existing house, by doing so, we have to tear down a wall to be able to connect our existing house to the new bedrooms. I heard that it is bad to renovate while pregnant, is it okay to build? we can tear down the wall of our existing house and connect the new bedrooms (the new house "wing") after baby is born, is this okay? thanks in advance to everyone. Staff Cecil Lee Posted August 13, 2010 Staff Share Posted August 13, 2010 These are some of the considerations:-GENERAL INFORMATION1. In a micro-level; according to our Chinese customs; the most important consideration is that the common bed that you are currently sleeping on should never be moved even one month after giving birth.2. Thus in some circumstances where one really has to say move house then, the pregnant wife should literally disappear and not involved in or look at the process of the shift. In many instances, a new bed should be purchased at the new home. Anyway, this para does not apply to your case. But do take note the same.INVOLVING A GEOMANCER3. Usually, if geomancy (Feng Shui considerations) is involved and if you were to hire a professional geomancer:-3.1. If you are hiring the geomancer as a package; then he/she would also review your layout plan(s).3.2. A geomancer would then advice you whether it is ok to proceed as such considerations as "avoid disturbing the Grand Duke"; the five yellow location(s) = may affect misfortune and even the three-killings location.3.3. Should the geomancer propose the go ahead; usually a good date and time is selected for the start-of renovations etc...FREE FOR ALL (ANYTHING GOES)4. For those who don't want to hire a geomancer; then cross-fingers and hope for the best and close one's eyes to such things.
