Is it ok that it fronting Stairs but there is a distance, Just so happened the blank wall is facing that stairs. Even within the Chinese altar; there are many groupings:-2.2.1 Ancestor altar2.2.2Guan Gong (usually face the main door)2.2.3Guan Yin (Goddness of Mercy)2.2.4Jade Emperor etc...3. Even buddha "altar".4. Indian pooja or puja room / altar.5. In general; an altar:-5.1. Should not have it's back against a toilet wall5.2. facing a bedroom5.3. Preferred that it should not be at the NE or SW sector of a home5.4. Placed below abeamThere are LOTs more.. just that my fingers need to crawl somewhere to complete my other tasks...
