Five Elements - Metal and Earth

Dear Master Robert and Cecil,
I have some confusing about 5 elements with "Jewelry" and "Stone".
My questions are : -
1) I understand from the course note to mentioned that "Stone" is belong to Earth element right? Do the "Stone" included mineral stone, gemstone, crystal as well?
2) For "Jewelry" is belong to Metal element, I understand that "jewelry" is normally use precious metal like gold,silver,platinum or white gold setting with some gemstone, that is called "Jewelry". and if Jewelry is belong to Metal and Gemstone is belong to Earth, so for jewelry setting with gemstone,it this belongs to "Metal" or "Earth" element? Please advise.

1. Many of us are led into the believe that we must classify an item into only one element else; it was felt that it will be totally wrong; if an item was classified into say: Metal-Earth element. Or rather the square peg in a round hole mentality.

2. Really, what is wrong with classifying an item into more than one element.

3. For simplicity; as you had mentioned; in GENERAL jewelry is classifed as metal element because in most instances; it is made up of some metal. For example standard wedding ring needs some metal to hold it together. Whether a gem is to be embedded or not is another story.

4. In many of the past forum messages; I had mentioned that today; an occupation can even contain several elements:

4.1. The industry one is in e.g. Banking (Metal)
4.2. And the core job one is in; say Marketing (Fire).

5. So what is wrong in saying that this person's career is: Metal-Fire combination.
