Which is my main door?

Hi Cecil
Will like to seek your advise as to determine which is consider my main door. My new apatment had a recess area outside my main door. So,we actually will put upa wrought iron gate to box upthis recess area since there's shoe cabinets there.Do i consider my gateor the main door facing? My gate will be facing West while main door facing South.
Hope you understand what i meant.

In my opinion, it depend:

1. This includes taking a real look of the entire area; how wide is the corridor area; the depth of the recess area.

2. Must "yang Qi" as the frontage

3. the ultra conservatives always say it is the actual maindoor.

I have an idea now to swop my main door to the gate position (subject to management approval). so my main door will face West then. However, both me and my hb is East goup people (Kua 1 and 9) but my daughter is West group.
Is it advisable not to change my main door position (original south facing if gate don't consider)? However, my main door also facing the living room balcony which is also not very ideal.
