Stairs located in the center of the house

There is a set of stairs connecting the upstairs to the down that are located in the center of the home. The steps end directly in front of our back door at the bottom and at the top, the end directly in front of my son's bedroom. What can I do for a situation like this?
Thank you
Carrie

Dear Carrie,
1. Ideally, a staircase should have a turning or landing.
If I am not wrong, I noticed a straight staircase in one of the layout plans posted in " Audit for Financial/Hardship Cases Only).
2. If there is a landing on the staircase, some Feng Shui Masters advise that one can place a mirror at the landing as a means to deflect Qi upwards.
This is optional and not a must.
3. Ideally, the stairs should not be at the centre of the house. As you cannot do anything about it, if you can, place potted plants at the ground level (at each side of the stairway. If the stairs is attached to one side of the wall, a plant can be placed at one side.
Again this is not compulsory. As some FS practioners believe that it will regulate the flow of Qi for a set of stairs at the centre of the house.
You can check out this link for more on stairs:

More importantly if the stairs can be immediately seen from the main entrance, one should place a screen between the main entrance door and the staircase. (A potted can be placed at the side of the stairs but this is not compulsory.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil

Gd morning! Exploring one more idea. Is it advisable to have the stairs in living hall designed this way rather than L-shape?

Is a set of straight staircase inauspicious?

Blame this on Feng Shui!

Feng Shui’s preference for the regular turn. As some say qi can meander upstairs. Actually this is a poor FS excuse.

With a landing... if someone slips and fall, at least there is a break.

Here, good luck! If some falls... and elderly also don’t have a rest stop
