These photos were taken from The Livia condo.
Especially Block 61 and 63 in The Livia, has units that will slowly have their views blocked by the blocks shown, here and vice-versa.
These uncompleted blocks are those from the Under-Construction: NV Residences in Pasir Ris.
The curved rounded exterior of the NV Residences reminds me of all those 1950's to 1960's "rounded" smooth corners buildings... specifically the Cathy Building in Dolby Ghaut area.
One good thing about the rounded exterior of such (NV Residences blocks) is that they will unlikely to post a poison arror or sha qi to neighbouring blocks and homes...

I can still remember vividly the shock after visiting the first unit at Livia condominium. Another sister project by CDL Properties.
Then, out of curiosity, I knocked on the interior wall of a large unit. Virtually all interior walls are of dry partition. And not only that, the entire walls of the toilets are also of dry wall partition.
Shocked because, with today's Singapore sky high property prices, one would expect the same traditional built quality (at least) using pre-cast concrete = brick and mortar type of construction.
NV Residences being another sister development of Livia condo, should I must say share the same fate.
No wonder, what seems like NV Residences expected TOP in 2014 should now be a year earlier. And most likely TOP pretty soon this year!
Personally, I got to thank Livia. As when I was looking at as much as 40 different developments (to purchase); I personally kept clear of CDL properties and some others which also share similar construction techniques... for one a certain new TOP development = 8@Woodleigh...
Fortunately, there are still other developments that kept to the true "solid wall" construction method. Phew! Here, it is not true that if one pay peanuts, one get peanut shell. But rather, here one pays a premium and yet, get peanuts of an interior...
Furthermore, even government HDB flats are a far cry better than this. So far, majority of new public housing flats use solid walls. Some although use thinner (but sound proof) precast concrete walls; they are still considered solid walls. The only slight disappointment of some HDB flats was some stocks that TOP around 10 years ago where the toilets share the same fate as Livia condo. Some of these flats can be found in Sengkang. Otherwise, today, HDB flats are now solid wall construction.

NV Residences consists of 8 Blocks. Majority of all the Eight Blocks are aligned in the same direction.
However, based on the Sales brochure site map and the one available at streetdirectory.com; It seems that the facing directions of most of the stacks either face N3 or exactly 22 degrees or S3 or 202 degrees.
Just a .4 of a degree would bring all the stacks closer to what is called a "zone of emptiness".
Here, it would mean that majority of the stacks either face: "neither N3 or S3" but in a very inauspicious zone between these two Flying star directions. And vice versa for those stacks that "neither face S3 or SW1.
In Flying Star Feng Shui, if the developer and their contractors were to built the development as neither "HERE nor THERE" = very inauspicious.
Let's hope that it is a close call or close margin!
As there are a total of 8 blocks; I would have to pay more attention when taking readings for clients at each individual block.
Thus, there can be a possibility that a client staying in say Blk 91 would heave a sigh of relief while another at Blk 93 or 99 may be affected by this "zone of emptiness"

It's too late! NV Residences is nearing completion.
And already cast in stone! Hopefully, many of the stacks fall exactly under Period 8 : N3 or S3!
Anyway... if you don't stay there or not going to... no worries.... it does not affect YOU!

Hi Master Lee, currently looking at some resale units in NV Residences. When you mention that many stacks fall exactly under Period 8, do you mean all the main stacks? (ie main direction of the whole condo, eg whole of Blk 85, 91, 93, 99 and some stacks on other blocks in the same direction)

No. What this thread means is:
1. Under the Flying Star Feng Shui, each home is suppose to be able to be properly identified as belonging to a specific "type".
2. And under Flying Star Feng Shui; there are a total of 15 directions or sectors a home can fall into.
3. But what this thread means is that since most of the blocks are oriented in the same direction;
3.1. Thus, if one stack/unit is such that it cannot belong to one of the 15 directions but fall in between TWO directions such as considered "in no man's land" then this is a concern. As it can adversely affect the luck. Here, e.g. a home cannot be considered as say belonging to either a NE1 or NE2 home but "in between" these two sectors. That's all.
