Dear Master Cecil.
I have some doubt about my apartment period and therefore I am not sure about the flying star comfiguration for the last3 years. My apt was built in 1997 and thus it is a period 7th apt. But,I moved in @ 2007, so does it make it a period 8th apt? I`ve have three awfull years, since I`m using period 7 flying stars. I need your wisely advice,whatshould I do?
Thank you very much..

1. Since you are more clear about the situation; for example, whether or not any renovations were done after Chinese New Year (Lunar Year) 2004; etc...
2. I am not sure what you mean by this statement: "awful three years since you are using period 7." Do you literally mean that after ploting using period 7, as a result you got awlful three years. And are you saying that you should have plotted using period 8's to find the best cures etc...
3. Hope you understand, your info is hazy and misty where most of us are reading between the lines where you wrote, below..
4. In a text book case; if I somewhat interpret you; you can plot two charts using Period 7 and 8 (provided you used the correct facing direction) and see which is more accurate since, you have been staying there for at least three years or more.

Dear Master Cecil, thank you for your quick reply.
1.I startedpraticing Fengshui in January 2010, After unfortunate things were happening in my life, and I setup my apt using 7th period setup. I`m doing a little better now, but I have doubts whether I using the right period or not to improve life.
2. I`m not really sure if any renovation was made made after 2004. What I`m corcerned is whether moving intomy apt in 2007 makes it change from previous 7th period to the actual 8th period, since I set up the flying stars accordingly to 7th period configuration instead of 8th period if it were the case.
3. What I mean by having awful 3 years after I moved in the apt and before practicing fenshui, is having lost mydad in 2007 and my mom in 2009, getting sick by back splitted disks by the end of 2009, and having continuos money set backs.
My regards.
Luis..............

These are some considerations:
1. If one is concerned that the home may fall within two periods;
2. In my opinion, it is as mentioned earlier to plot TWO charts: for two different periods. And also try to work out the template.
3. Personally, I have seen some charts that (by coincidence) have similar type of #star influence within a sector in either period.
4. In your situation, you could closely examine:-
4.1. Important sectors especially the bedroom(s); the living room / dining area etc.
4.2. and check out the #stars under both periods and study closely which "cures" or "enhancement(s)" may apply that is beneifical to both periods or does not further inflame these #stars.
5. Of course, it is still better if the actual period can be ascertained.
6. Moving forward; the above seems to be the most sensible thing to do in such a situation for a DIYer...

Further to what I had mentioned;
1. In some situations, it is not so straight-forward.
2. Although the majority would look at just one period to analyse a home; in some situations, one may even have to look at two or more Flying Star Periods.
3. Thus, if you were to start comparing the two periods; I can assure you that you are not alone nor the very first to do so...
