Choosing an English Name Fits my Lucky Element

Hi,
I am a Chinese American female and have been living in the U.S. most of my life. I've always used my Chinese name in school, work, and all aspects of my life. I never liked my Chinese name because people would make fun of it, mispronounce it, forget it easily, or not bother to acknowledge me because my name is so different to remember/pronounce. However, it's been very hard for me to choose a Western/American name I feel comfortable with.
My current Chinese name is Zhu (Pearl - ) Hua (Flower - ). My lucky element is wood and I've done a lot of research in regards to the letter I should begin my English name with (k, g, z according to certain websites), a name meaning wood/flower/spring, and the letters adding up to 5 or 6.
Would you please let me know if this conclusion is correct? And would you please give me some advice on how to pick out a good American name?

And she said that it is derived from her Chinese Name Initials e.g. Ong Xi Yin or something like. In Mandarin, Oxy would have to be based on sound like ...... 11. As I mentioned, do what pleases you on the long term... as there is no perfect precedence if any in this area...

Thank you very much for your advice. Because it seems I can't go wrong when choosing an English name b/c there is no absolute rule, I think I'm going with a name that means flower, green, or something to do with the wood element, which is my most favorable element (my second favorable element being earth). By the way, may I ask how you chose the name Cecil for your English name? Was there a process you used? Or did you just like the sound/meaning? This would help me narrow down my short list (Chloe - green shoot, Hayley - hay meadow, etc.) to a specific one.

These are some considerations:
1. Yes, in a broad sense, one MAY not go wrong when choosing a Mandarin name UNLESS:-
1.1. One also wants to literally convert or have an identical name in Mandarin.
1.2. Here, some English name(s) when pronounced or translated or phonetic-sound-like some inauspicious Chinese name.
1.3. For example, sometimes names with "flowers" may turned out to be a name associated with a Prostitute den in Mandarin.
2. Otherwise, if you never going to convert or translated your name into Mandarin, then there is no chance that you may get this wrong.
3. Please see attachment. All my brothers, sisters and cousins belonging to the same generation are defined with one character that distincts us from other generations.
3.1 The character HAN was chosen as my generation's "marker" much like a DNA marker, traditionally, do such things.
3.2. While our Surname will "never change" as it is always the first character; in this case: the Surname " Li " or in dialect terms it is called LEE.
4. If you look carefully, in the attachment, the centre character of HAN is "written" in long-form or Big Five characters.
5. When selecting a name, the long-form or Big Five characters are used to analyse a name. Not the short-form that is used now in China and Singapore. Taiwan still retains the Big-five.
6. No my Christian name is not chosen based Chinese name selection principles. More towards personal preference.
