Hi,
I just bought a house and the master bedroom has a big sliding window door where my foot of bed faces. The headboard is on the solid wall and I can see the door to the room from where I sleep (far left corner). My concern is the foot facing the sliding window door that goes to the patio. Will the energy be drained if I sleep with my foot facing the window? Should I take out the sliding window and put a wall?

1. In my opinion, this has more to do with SYMBOLISM then Feng Shui.
2. It origins is that in the past; the deceased would be brought home during the funeral.
2.1. And the body will be displayed such that the LEGS will face the entrance. This is based on pure common sense. As when it is time for the funeral procession, the coffin will be loaded legs first into the hearse.
3. Thus as mentioned above, it has more to do with the "Chinese" thing or Chinese custom or belief to avoid sleeping with the legs facing an OPENING such as the bedroom door or even the sliding window.
4. IF you are not a Chinese, perhaps, and if you are not as supertitious, no need to be TOO concerned.
5. Often if one has a DAY curtain, can draw it down. And thus, this symbolise the legs not facing the "door" in such a situation.
