myfs_134517
Dear Master,I know that main door facing the staircase is not good feng shui. However, I'm wondering about the bathroom door facing the staircase. Our 3rd floor bathroom door is directly facing our stairs so when we go up the 3rd floor, the bathroom door is the first thing we see. Is this bad feng shui? If it is, how do we lessen the negative energy?By the way, when you open the bathroom door, the sink is the first thing you see and not the toilet. Thanks for your help! Staff Cecil Lee Posted November 21, 2012 Staff Share Posted November 21, 2012 Common sense (Cs) 1. The concept of "Common sense" takes precedence over Feng Shui in various aspects. For instance, the visibility factor plays a crucial role. Leaving the toilet door open may not be considered appropriate as it can be unpleasant to see inside a toilet or toilet bowl. However, some individuals, particularly young boys and men, may not mind it. The scenario changes if an attractive girl is using the toilet with the door slightly ajar. Common sense & more Cs 2. Another common-sense consideration is the direction in which the toilet door opens. It is recommended for the door to open inwards, while sliding or folding doors are also acceptable. 3. In cases where the toilet door opens outwards, as well as any door facing the stairs, it is essential for safety reasons that they open inwards. This precaution helps prevent accidents where someone exiting the toilet inadvertently pushes another individual down the staircase.
