myfs_157562
As shown in the floor plan below, the toilet bowl in Bathroom 1 is pointing towards the bed position in Bedroom 1. As advised by my Interior designer, it is no good to hack the toilet bowl as reorientating it may lead to bad smell and flushing in future. Is there any problem with the current orientation? If yes, what can I do about it without re-orientating the toilet bowl? The doors of Bedrooms 1 and 2 are facing the door of Bathroom 2. Is there any problem with this? What can I do about it?Thank you.
Staff Cecil Lee Posted July 6, 2013 Staff Share Posted July 6, 2013 These are some considerations:1. No offence, but what you wrote sounds like it is a SIN to have: an attached toilet for the master bedroom + shared toilet........2. Don't you think that take most layout plans and your layout don't seem out of the ordinary.3. Frankly, there is no such thing as a perfect apartment. Far more, no such thing as an apartment without a toilet.4. Such an overkill can only mean one thing: "go shut down all your toilets" and go use the ones in the condominium if indeed this is a full condo development. But since HDB flat, may have to walk further to a coffee-shop to make use of their dirty toilet for daily use.5. You can search for past forum messages. On why it has more to do with common sense even if the toilet bowl faces a door (bathroom) door; simply leave the lid at the open position.6. Like what you wrote... might as well not stay in any apartment. 7. Again no offence, it ain't NO SIN to stay in such an apartment with a very common layout (type) of plan. Unless, one is an Alien, and suddenly parachuteddown to earth and find such layouts weird and alien or very unfamiliar to them. Frankly, I find this truly an over-kill.
