myfs_158900
Hi Master Cecil,I have always been phobic about air travel, what more with the recent tragic event of MH 370! I am based in Melbourne and had to travel to Sydney on 26/03 for business. I often use the 30 days auspicious dates on your website as a guidance to choose auspicious dates for travel. Apparently, based on my ba qi, 26/03 is very auspicious for me. But when I double check with the Tong Shu/Almanac, it states that 26/03 is not good for travel! In this event, what should I do or which should I follow? Is it better to avoid flying on 26/03 since the Tong Shu states that it is bad for travelling eventhough my ba qi states it is very auspicious date for me on 26/03? Your prompt advice would be greatly appreciated as I am about to book my flights. Thank you!
Staff Cecil Lee Posted March 13, 2014 Staff Share Posted March 13, 2014 These are some considerations:1. Let's look at the Chinese Horoscope and Ba Zi of an individual. In this example A male born on 17 October 1980 at 1.15pm:- Name: Sample (Male - 17 Oct 1980) D.O.B: Lunar (1980, 9th month, 9 day) at 1.00 p.m. to 2.59 p.m. Pillar HeavenlyStem(HS) EarthlyBranch(EB) Hour Day Month Year Life Conception 2. Even today, there are many who are confused over some of the facts, above.2.1. For example it is a fact that this person was born in the YEAR of the metal-monkey.2.2. And when their ba zi was analysed, such as above; Note: Ba zi is based on DAY chart.2.3. Thus, it is correct and a fact that this man is a "MONKEY".3. But in Bazi his element is (based on another fact) DAY of birth which is a "water-PIG".3.1. Thus he is considered asBirth Element a water element (based on DAY of birth and NOT his YEAR chart. 4. Frankly, it is similar to your question.4.1. For example, the Tong Shu has a wider generalisation. Where it is suppose to apply to everyone in the WHOLE wide world.5. What am I trying to say?6. The KEY to understanding is:6.1. "Is the Tong Shu personalized information or general?6.2. While based on the the auspicious dates on Geomancy.net website: it is customised to the person. For example in order to determine a date of birth several variables have to be INPUT e.g. YYYY MM DD etc.... 7. Another way of looking at it is that the Tong Shu is not even close to doing an X-ray. While the auspicious dates provided is like going for an MRI scan. Here, Tong Shu even if it is an X-ray cannot look at soft tissue. While an MRI scan can even look at slices of a person's tissue.
