Water Fountain

Dear Cecil,
I have placed a waterfall fountain on the south side of my house without realising that it affects fame and reputation until now. Actually I have no choice cos my garden is on the south side.That is the only place I can fit in the waterfall fountain. It is quite big actually and it is not easy to relocate the foutain. .My entrance is facing the East sector The water fountain has been there like almost a decade and there are fishes in it. I have lots of live plants surrounding the fountain. Since reading the fame and reputation thing, I thought of dismantling the waterfall fountain. Just wonder whether I can leave the fountain as it by placing something to ward off the negative energy. Greatly appreciate your kind advice./Jeffrey.

These are some considerations:
1. Most likely when you mention "fame and reputation"; most likely you are not living (or located) anywhere in Asia especially the Far East, Hong Kong and China.
2. Please refer to a recent posting on close to this same subject:-

3. Traditional Authentic Feng Shui does not use such "fixed template" stuffs.
4. If one is in one of the countries as mentioned under Para 1, above; and if a practitioner would bring up "fame and reputation", "courage" etc... That practitioner would close down in a few days - as he/she would be denounced as a "quack"....
4.1. But unfortunately; it is a pity that many in the west; seems to understand and rely on non-traditional or authentic Feng Shui.
5. "If it ain't broken" don't fix it". Given that it is best not to rely on such "quack" theories; best to leave it status quo.
6. Most of the time; often - if the area is the frontage or close to the frontage; one often will not get it so wrong with a water feature.
6.1. Logically, many assume a water feature = wealth. What matters most is to understand that if we have a water-feature; NOTHING can be built above it = clear space! And this gives rise to a "bright" and airly area where qi can come into a home.
6.2. For example, in small countries like Singapore, which is short of space; in the 1950's it is common to find bungalows that are 10,000 sq feet and terrace homes that are close to 3,000 to 4,000 sq feet.
6.3. And here, if one plants a mango tree; even in such large areas; often a matured mango tree can be quite large and cast a dark shadow below the area. Making the area "dim" and dark. Not exactly the kind of thing one should do at the frontage of a home.
7. Please don't rely on such "crabby stuff" like "fame and reputation type of non-sense = rubbish cannot even call it Feng Shui. "
8. Unfortunately, such things are not even close to "kindergarten" Feng Shui that was widely practised in the 1970's and 1980's.
